This appears to be incompatible with the mod "Multi weapon attachments + tranq rifle". Is there a way I can get them to work together?

@CeQu There's a few things that use the same key, unfortunately. Why ark did that, I dunno. I'm not switching from Reload though, since you're reloading the weapon.

You can still use the cycle feature with double tap OR you can hold reload until the menu opens and then release reload. The menu will stay open and should still be compatible with other things utilizing the reload key.

Ty for making this mod! The only issue im having is on Fjordur trying to open the radial menu opens realm teleportation. Is there a way to change the button for opening the radial menu alternatively disabling realm teleportation?

hello, is it possible to add a config to disable radial menu too? I play with controller and when I hold Square(Reload), Im not able to use my joysticks to select any ammo type. I just look around with the radial menu popped on the screen.

is there a way to switch the binds?

@Quellcrest thank you. I did not know I could release the key and the menu would persist.

@Aegisnir Nope. Other means for configurable hotkeys are either way less responsive and/or prone to user error. My menu does appear before the teleport menu and if you release the reload key, the menu persists, so you can still avoid the teleport menu.

Is there a way to change the keybind from R to something else that doesnt conflict with other items utilizing the Reload keybind? If I hold R while playing on Fjordur, the teleport menu overrides the radial ammo menu.

There's a conflict with Ammo changer and the S+ Multi tool where you can't change the tool. Does this mod have the same conflict?

So I'm using the Steampunk mod on my SP file, and for some reason, the two ammo types for the Power Crossbow (Copper Arrows and Copper Hook Arrows) are showing up as two entries of the former arrow type on the radial menu. It recognized that the arrows are different in practice, as it swaps between them when requested, but not without a small bug; when switching from Copper Arrows (which are 50-for-1) to Copper Hook Arrows (which are normal), the 50-for-1 stat for the former get applied to the latter. I've already raised the issue with the Steampunk devs, but thought I'd bring it here just in case it isn't a problem with Steampunk.

@Hazulkar You don't. It's just whatever your reload key is, which is R by default. If it isn't working it's either being blocked by a mod, you're wearing a tek helmet(my menu will disappear kind of quick) or the mod is corrupted(clean reinstall it).

How do you change the default R key? Because it doesn't work for me.

@JustHnoss Holding R with a valid weapon triggers the radial menu to do it's thing. If you're wearing a Tek Helmet, it also makes that do it's thing. I can't stop the helmet without completely breaking that functionality.
I also can't edit the tek helmet one, dev kit won't have an update(likely for a month+).

As for the inventory thing, I don't have this option. Not sure it really matters, I mean you can do it anyways...

I've read the most recent comments and figured that there might be one solution that in theory could work. What if you could change the duration of how long you need to hold R to go from Ammo Changer to TEK Helmet? OR, maybe add the Ammo Switcher menu to the TEK Helmet as another "layer", like adding an "Ammo Switcher" option that continues in to another radial wheel where you can choose the ammo.

Also, do you know if it is a bug that I can access my inventory by holding R and pressing "access inventory"? It doesn't feel like it is supposed to be like that.

Please don't change the binding, it's perfect imo.

@ShadowSlayerFX1 It still technically works, but you got to be fast or use the double tap method. I'd really rather not change the bind(reload just makes sense) and new content/changes aren't available to modders yet, so I can't fiddle with the tek helmet(not sure id want to anyways).

Author, someone mentioned the font problem before. This is actually a text encoding problem. Switching to Unicode can solve the problem.

Also, that list of mods has at least 2 hud mods, which are definitely incompatible with each other.

Found out the problem, it was ReHUD, maybe cause its pretty outdated and incompatible with this menus.

@Bbwrm Holding reload for 0.25s should bring up the radial menu. The quick change feature does not work with controllers, since double tap is already taken.

I enabled controllers sometime ago for someone(s) and haven't had anyone since say they had a problem. I also don't have a controller so...

@Isla I don't know what a font bug is, nor do I know what words are supposed to look like in other languages, but it looked okay in german.
Also, I'm not using any special fonts, vanilla Ark fonts.

Yep I know. I don't really use shoulder pets so was more for other people.

@Squish Once you take a weapon out, R becomes reload. Double tapping R results in throwing your shoulder pet. The radial menu still works just fine though by holding R.

One thing to consider is that if you have a shoulder pet you throw it when you press R while on a dino. Don't know if you can do anything about that though.

I wasn't the one running the server, so I don't have any crash logs, but I managed to get the server to crash twice by holding R, and changing ammo types with a longneck rifle on the back of an Argentaevis.

@[SM] Striker The Hedgefox Seems fine to me. Before anything else, reinstall the mod. If it continues, try running with no other mods to determine if something is conflicting. If it continues, make a thread in the discussions with any and all information you can get relating to this.

Trying to switch ammo while on the back of a tamed dino, it'll crash the server. Please fix.

Aright, removed the ini entry "DisableQuickAmmoChange=True" from the server and restarted it, tested out the mod...works perfectly, no server crashes. Using the same crossbow, same ammo, that was crashing the server yesterday over and over.

It seems the server crashes where possibly related to the client side issues that I resolved by removing all references to gamepads in the input.ini files....or whatever was happening just magically went away over night.

Either way, I can no longer reproduce the issue myself, despite 100% reproduction yesterday.

The server PC also had an OS update overnight, automatically. The most recent "large" Windows 10 update. Probably not a factor, but could be, lots of networking related things in that update.

Seems like it is just me, Other than the server crashing effecting others, none of my friends had problems. Though none of them are using both the crossbow and simple compound bow (they aren't high enough level for the latter).

I'm glad you posted today though, I forgot I wanted to try to see if I would still get the crashes on the server without the server side ini addition that I had made now that I resolved other radial menu issues with the client side input.ini edits.

@Jaggid Edje I still have yet to be able to replicate the issues you were having. I loaded a bunch of bows with a bunch of different arrows(modded or vanilla). Tried cycling, reconnecting, disabling the mod and reconnecting...never had any issues. Always worked, radial menu was never blank/empty.
Is it just you or are others having the same/similar issues?

I just wanted to follow up with a bit of new information.
Around 2 hours after my previous post here I started having issues with OTHER radial menus in the game. The cursor would stick in the middle, and I couldn't select any options from the radial menus.
I've experienced that issue in other games, when my controller was also turned on...but I have never used a controller for Ark..or even powered mine on while the game was running. Anywho, I went into the Input.ini files (all of the various ones) and commented out every single line related to controllers.

Interestingly, doing the above also fixed the issue with your mod that I was having with the blank radial menu coming up after changing ammo. I haven't restarted the server without the ini settings I had added earlier yet to see if it also addresses the crash issue as other people are also playing on the server atm.

Adding the line "DisableQuickAmmoChange=True" to my GUI.ini file has resolved the crashing issues. I was getting the server crash 100% of the time when holding down the reload key and once I added that ini entry I've successfully switched ammo on the crossbow 10 times with no crash.
