Its not abandoned. Its just paused while i work out some things and move it into a different namespace and finish the custom (currently green) buildings.

The 600m Range is cut into the terrain. Its made up of stock and custom objects so can be recreated on other maps. The firing post is a custom object made by me. But it will soon be editor placable when i copy it into the RKSL Objects pack next week together with the 25m Range backstop.

I love this map, Just wish it was a little bigger and actually included Bere Regis and Bovington Estate. Will more work be done on this or has it been abandoned? Is the 600m range a standalone asset made by someone else? If so where can it be found?

NP. i will admit to being a bit diverted as Im also merging STANTA and SPTA into the same structure and resources at the same time. its a bit more complicated than I thought.

Im working on improving the Satmap and mask
New custom plants for fields and clutter objects etc
New ground textures
New Buildings
Improved areas - new layout in the yards etc.
Approx 200 individual fixes.

Then its likely to be a memory problem. Bovington is a very resource heavy map in some ways. The terrain grid is the same as Altis 4096x4096 but instead of spreading that over 30km. its squeezed into 4km. So that why we say make sure your view distance is set to less than 4km.

Now If you want to try it with your view distance and your terrain quality set to Low that might work. But much more than that I really dont know. You are the first to report anything like this at all.

i have tried it eys. the screen freezes and starts loading and results in a screen where it shows that the program doesn't respond or react and then the error message from arma comes in. i believe the message just seas the code 00000 and then DEAD. i have had it a lot before and the problem was allways another mod interfering with the mod i try to load but this time there are realy no mods involved.

I've no idea. Not come across that on before.
1) What happens does it crash or freeze or stay blank?
2) What does the RPT file say?
3) Have you tried verifying the files?

Sorry, I'm not going to make or support multiple versions. However I think there is a way to remove buildings via an init script. I'll look into it.

Thanks for sharing this, never trained in bovi but remember well the tracks round bordon camp and hohne garrison. So it'll be fun to track about some ground that looks familiar 😉

I had family in the tank regiment and seeing this made smile and brought back warm memories of seeing tanks on manoeuvres. Thank you, this is a great map.
