Ok, so we definitely mean the same thing, that's good to know. Well, it'd be cool if you changed the wood steps because right now they are the only thing really keeping me from using this mod as a permanent part of my collection. Of course only if it doesn't cost you too much time or trouble. Thanks for responding.

I checked the sounds and they're the same length and sample rate as those they replace, so there should be no screeching or buzzing.

The squeak I'm talking about happens at the end of the 3rd, 5th, and 7th step on the wood in the video. That's the only thing I can hear that sounds like it could be wrong, but it's like that in HLA as well.

The walking sounds are different from running, so they should be fine.

Also I just noticed that the scratching noise is not audible when sneaking with SHIFT.

I dunno, it doesn't sound like squeaking to me, but rather like a weird, cut-off scratching noise. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same sound here.

Oh, that's actually part of the sound. It's the wood squeaking.

Yes, it is. It's like a bit of a "scratchy" sound. You can hear it exactly three times in the video while you're walking over the wooden surface.

I've never heard that happening with this myself, but maybe I just didn't notice it. Is it audible in the video?

Tested this once again to see if the wood steps were fixed but alas, they were not. There is still an audible audio glitch when walking over wooden surfaces. This is probably due to that specific sample being either too long or too short.

Will you be able to take them from a gmod addon?

I'm not familiar with smod so probably not.

This mod is freakin' great but it has one flaw. There is a noticeable sound glitch when walking on wooden surfaces. Then again, I can't blame you because I wasn't able to get the wood surface steps right as well when I made my footstep sound mods.
