No, this replaces the tls l4d2 survivors with their vanilla versions so they dont crash randomly. I think they use the l4d1 survivors on that map

Deleting the update files would cause the game to crash, singleplayer or not. Best bet is some pre-TLS mods. Or, if you still have an older version of the game (legal or not). Just put those files in instead. But that only works for singleplayer.

If I can do any request...
I've found a mod on gamemaps called "last stand melee weapon swap" who should replace the (useless) pitchfork and the (boring) shovel with katana and crowbar.
Could you please try to do something like this?
Because it's definitely not working (or maybe just for the Last Stand map, but I don't like it either)
