I think we do need a hive world and machine world variant for Earth, and can you make the Sahara more green for the Gaia texture?

Terraformed a planet into a Gaia world, ended up with a texture that was literally Earth but Upside down

I pretty much just took the actual planet textures, retouched water from them, put a mask of Earth's continents from the in-game Earth texture over them, then blended it a bit and recolored the oceans accordingly.
The most complicated one was the ocean world texture because I actually took the time to make it accurate to how Earth's continents would look like in real life if the ocean levels were raised significantly.

Out of curiosity, did you make these textures yourself? I love how they're faithful to the Stellaris art style and was wondering how you replicated it so perfectly.

Thank you for this. Now I don't have to feel like I've destroyed the uniqueness of Earth when I make it a Gaia world.

Personally I like the Gaia Texture, as I've always seen them more as planets with such diverse climates there's habitable areas for everyone.

Everything looks great, awesome job. Only criticism would be is that the Gaia texture doesn't seem vibrant enough, but that is just my opinion, great work!

I think making the Sahara green for the Gaia Texture would fit more with the planet type theme

@MisterUlysses But yeah the one thing that might set this mod apart is that the Ocean texture actually takes Earth's topography into account so the flooding is realistic.

This seems really similar to Variable Earth Climates by Malthus. Is there any reason to use this over theirs?
