That is the issue then. The translucent glass is only for the default heli model. The game is fighting whether the default helicopter shows up with the translucent glass, or this heli. Removing the translucent glass mod should fix it. In the future I recommend only having one model replacement mod at a time. This breaks for a reason. The translucent glass heli modified version of the stock heli. The game can’t have 2 or more models show up. The code picks the mod with a higher priority to be shown in game. In your case this heli is a lower priority mod.

What do you mean by that? If it is doing that it is possibly a conflicting mod. Do you have anything helicopter related in your mods. Like the translucent helicopter glass mod?

I think this is one of the best mods on the workshop and I would use it every time. The key word there is 'would'. I would use this but there are two major problems for me that ruin immersion. the first is something I mentioned in an earlier comment. The Pilot. Having a guy decked in mil-spec gear turning into a 40 year old guy in a Hawaiian shirt definitely ruins immersion. The other thing is the crash model. The model is really good and represents the size of the heli perfectly. But the problem is that its "too big". On hundreds of maps I have played on sometimes there will be heli wreckage on the roof of building and some parts float! The reason why this is a problem is that map creators when placing heli crashes will compensate with the default crash model. If the crash model was smaller, similar to the original helicopters dimensions, that would fix most of these problems. Aside from these problems keep doing what you are doing Ellie! Godspeed!

I can help! To anyone having an issue with this mod not working, it conflicts with one of the 'missing content fix' mods, specifically it tends to happen for the one designed for custom maps fixes such as 'Missing Content Fix ver EC17' (If I remember correctly). This can be fixed by going into left 4 dead 2's game files, and moving this mod from the game's 'workshop' folder and placing it in the 'add-on' folder! You can then safely uninstall this mod but it will remain in your game files, overriding the conflict and working as intended.

Just managed to beat a custom campaign called "journey to splash mountain" on my first try! I didn't notice the chopper looked any different at first because I was in a panic to get to the chopper (had 1hp and on next-knockdown means death)! But when my team managed to get into the chopper (just barely us still alive) I got to see the chopper in all it's glory! Fantastic Job! It was the perfect end to the chapter! Just suited it perfectly!

Bug I noticed recently. On dark carnival, sometimes the helicopter changes back to the vanilla one mid flight

Will this ever have a pilot corpse? because it kinda looks weird having a military guy turning into a guy wearing a hawaiian shirt under his jacket. also the tail rotor and the tires are bigger in the model. i mean that the space the model takes up is more than the default heli. it results in seeing stuff floating in the air next to the crash.

azgalaga, I was confused too some time ago, but if you want RNG on ALL helicopters, you need this mod together. Both covers all types of helicopters

Something that kinda bugs me is that the Skybox model is unchanged. Therefore whenever the helicopter passes above in Dark Carnival (or in places where the Skybox model and the modified model are both present). You can see the default chopper clipping through the modified one. And whenever it flies further out: You can only see the default, unmodified Skybox model.

@Toranks : Thanks for the debug. I updated the mod and removed the fire extinguisher.
@Swamphunter : It's fixed now

I have confirmed that the custom fire extinguisher is the cause for the texture error when underwater, and it is resolved by simply deleting the model within the vpk file and recompiling the vpk without it. Everything else should be fine.

left 4 golden eye map works on this mod but i will like this pilot remove so we can use pilot mods
