I barely killed him with mage, cainheirst knight, bogatyr and veiled.
He is simple, but strong boss. So much HP and you literally cant stun him. Even healing doesnt help, cause he is overdamaging. So, better to pray for working deaths doors and his rare misses.
Im really not sure if its possible to make him better. Maybe its fair that you cant stun him, but he is vulnerable to the blood at least?
For now I can say it was great fight. Ill try to investigate it more!

I feel as though there were seperate motives for making this mod than simply making a boss mod.
Hes great, super cool, and very intimidating. I felt immediate regret upon entering the dungeon, mixed with lasting terror, and i was super involved in the fight emotionally. However, (maybe spoilers) I think a bleed effect could be added to his attacks, or maybe even a stun instead. Really just 1 point of bleed a round is enough, It makes him 100% more deadly, and not as useless against all party healers, like the vestal. As soon as I realized that he didnt have any bleeds or stuns, I was very happy I brought my vestal over my occultist. As far as adding a stun to his attacks goes, one could simply shuffle party or use mobile skills to get your healers out of his attacks range. However I still think bleeding would be better mechanically, but stun maybe suites his style a bit more.
I fought it day one, and I enjoyed it, even without the OP-ness and the 100% DB Removal. Again, like I've said before on the Abyssal Horror, DO NOT make the same mistake twice. Don't make a boss that has such a fantastic idea, but butcher it with terrible balancing.
(Not enough people talk about him cleaving through his worshippers as he approaches you, that was the most intimidating and flavorful thing I've experienced in this game.)
if you still like using them then maybe make them have actions that mark the hero in position 1
or maybe any of the heroes. then you can have the king hit the target. or you could make them summons. so every time the the king is hit summon a punching to guard the king. then he hits a follower and stress the party something like 20 stress or 12 stress points. then you give the king that shuffles a hero and give the hero or the party horror for 5/4 or 7/3. oh you could have a punching bag give the king a action, heal, or buff. but you be you and do what you think is or fits for your mod.
ps. i killed him before he could do any damage to me. because I used a mark party
User Ghost had a good critique of this boss. He shouldn't really ignore prot or Death Blow resist cause in all honestly, that's both cheap and irrelevant since he's so damn slow you never have to worry about being put into Death's door. He just needs to be able to hit multiple times and have a more varied moveset to prevent stalling and cheese. If not, give him a second phase at like half HP where he uses Withstanding cause he's also EXTREMELY fragile due to his lack of prot
Its only made worse with other class mods like the Thrall with his Phantasmal Gauntlet.
