I hope you are able to port this to the upcoming CS2 map dimensions - that would make the game EPIC!!!
Im sure you know what im talking about
The terrain on this map isnt the worst and is easily workable if you take the time to tweak it
I have only just noticed, but they never appeared
I have setup a simple new map, and it has the same issue
Has something been overlooked or just not possible?
Many thanks
I have been expanding on this map, and my strategy is very uniform and is nearly working
I have tried to completely some of the islands, but some really do not like it, to create a uniform template
My latest issue was at the centre of the map, the Metro became flooded
The only solution was to remove all the Metro links between the Islands
I would prefer a featureless map, as I could then pre-plan
I have had to remove ALL the trees, so I can add Forestry to one Island
There are things I would change,as the Industries DLC does mean using two or more circle / islands per resource, although using Mods can convert the resource, but then it looks different and I am trying to avoid that
At the moment I do not have the Airports DLC, again I think this may be a challenge it requires completely flat terrain
My current issue is creating routes with Trains
I have to create station to station between neighbouring circles / islands only
It does not appear to be possible to create routes any other way
I tried to fix it several times, but that gradient was just too severe
It is possible, but it is just too messy
I therefore decided I would not use the Metro bridges, delete the section from where it appears above ground to the next such section, so Metro would only be within the circle / island
The following day I then noticed the circle / island was flooding!
I had to use two pumps, then delete them
The water in the innermost dam set had risen so high it was passing through under the Metro into the glitch space!
As above, I had already been planning to remove these sections, so did it straight away
Initially I was like, "No, that is just too synthetic"
However like all Biffa content I watch the whole video
I then searched You Tube and watched the review from BonConB, and I was like, "Why not"
I noted the glitching on his map which had not appeared on Biffa
I read the instructions, let a few game days pass, and did not notice anything strange
Yes, the water was a little unstable, which is common with new water sources and dams, but did not notice any flooding
So I saved a CSL view, planned out some basics
All was going well for the first few days
I started from the centre, centre
I levelled some terrain, then noticed it was not always to get the entire circle / island flat, so I have done the best I can
I then noticed the same glitching as BonBonB
I am wondering if it is caused by the 81 Tiles, as Biffa tends to purchase Tiles as he goes, and for review BonBonB purchases them all
FOR TRAIN/METRO HELP for newer users:
-use the find it tool if you're not sure if it's a metro or train line. Click the search icon, and select the track. Either the train or metro will pop up. Now you can know for sure if it's train or metro
-Set stations towards the outside of the circles, and connect them from the outside.
.......by making a simple loop off of the track sticking out of the island, and then loop it back to itself. BAM! Your station is connected. Add another the same way, then use line creation tool.
With the Arcology, the circles provide a sense of purpose and some boundaries without being constraining. And again, just beautiful. Looking forward to your new project.
Looking forward to seeing your next project when it becomes available.
I'm working on it.
