In response to your previous statement the author of Marceline's Axe Mod, they updated their mod to include a weapon version of it. But no version that's both a weapon And an instrument.

it IS possible to add the alt abilities of a different weapon, for example i made Broadswords with alt abilities of Spears, but it was quite easy since they both are melee weapons and work similarly in many ways. whereas the Axe and the musical instruments are absolutely different active items... i haven't been into the modding lately, should get back to it one day and do some experiments

Maybe. It might be possible to invoke the instrument scripts as an alt-fire, though weapons and what they can do are out of my modding skillset so I can't say for certain.

i have seen other modder creating Marceline's axe : but as a bass guitar, not a weapon.
i wonder if it is possible to mod an item that could work both as a musical instrument AND a weapon

he's.. Talking about going into the game files... Its not that difficult. If you're asking for help, but can't handle a simple file search.. maaybe you shouldn't be looking to mod your game.

if you browse the local files and open the game folder on your harddrive, you may find the directory .../Starbound/storage. if you open it, there are log files that contain the reports of how the game had been working so far. possible errors are also reported there. try looking for this folder and opening the most recent log file and search for "error" lines when you open it. I frequently use it while making mods and checking mods.

do you mean that the forge is empty when you order the crafting recipe?
you may check if they are still there with /admin command. if they show up when you use it, it means that the patch file didn't work correctly. i hope it works better if you uninstall the mod and install it again. or probably it is just incompatible with other mods you have o__o does the log in Storage folder have any "error" lines?

它们的升级方式紧跟AT主线剧情的进展，也就是说这个。
1）默认，不需要制作早期的剑。血色金剑
2)金剑猩红-->根茎剑
3）根剑-->魔血剑。
4)魔血剑-->草木剑
5)青草剑-->芬兰剑
6)芬兰剑-->夜剑
+菲奥娜的水晶剑是魔血剑的另类升级。

还包含了锻造的种族描述（准备好嘲笑人类的吧......）。

UPD10 nov 2020: ver 1.1, 锻造本身的小幅更新.锻造现在是闪亮的，用户界面有一个可爱的标志与芬兰人的脸:)

am not sure tbh i managed to make the axe guitar, but still need to fix it up a bit and make it craftable, making it a weapon is a bit much for my knowledge

You have to create a new section of separate abilities, I suggest you see the mod procedural katanas, the swords of that mod have spear attacks and combined swords (plus some new skills and an eight hit combo XD)

i want to test some spear attacks actually, though i still need to figure out how to prescribe a spear attack to a broadsword. (i've already tried this with applying wand and staff attacks to broadswords, and just typing the name of that attack in a sword.activeitem file in the alt ability section gives zero result, nothing happens in the game).

Scarlet (the golden sword) and the four dimensional sword are the same weapon, so I suggest that you make that sword in the same way as the protectorade sword, (that is, when using the skill it becomes the four dimensional sword, if again you use the skill unleashes a powerful attack)

as soon as the night sword you can give him the skiil flurry of the spears (if you are in vanilla) or better yet he can apply one of those deadly combos that are in the blade dance mod

i wanted to include the Night sword and also the Four Dimensional sword, i am just not sure what alternative abilities to give them as long as i tried to make them all different. (i'll update the mod in the future if i come up with good ideas)
four now there is only the classic set of the most notable swords Finn had + Fiona's sword

I still do not use this mod, but it seems to me that some swords are missing such as:
Night sword
Sword of the Dead
Grape sword
Lightning sword
