I'm curious how biological shipsets get special treatment -- I guess only one of them needs a distinct set, since they're already different from all other ships.

Wait untill main game is fixed. Right now its so broken that no mod can fix it, and mods that are working in this state will break when game become playable

If i would suggest something. I would suggest that Necroid ships should get some more Aux slots and less weapon slots, and bonus +1 cloaking strenght.

Go check his second mod for module and weapons. He have posted some message about an update, in the commentary section. The mod is not dead, we just have to wait.

@Great_OLAF3 it only supports vanilla ships and stations / defense platfroms in terms of role bonus that they get. That does not mean it won't work with Giga, just not getting any role bonus for other ships not supported by this mod.

Didn't see it in the list, so I'm assuming the answer is no, but does this work with the ship types added in Gigastructural Engineering, like the attack moon? And, unrelated, does this only affect ships, or does it affect defense platforms as well?

because NSC is the stellaris equivalent of stacking fluorescent markers and this feels more like vanilla+.

Amazing mod, it's really how the ship selection should have been. Played with it in previous patches, and the thought of starting a game without it is discouraging. Keep up the great work!

That's because it hasn't been updated for a few versions, mainly since Gray has been trying to pretty much overhaul the whole thing.

@bioprof76 its just flavor text, a joke how the arthopoid bonus is just ships inside bigger ships like a matryoshka doll

Anyone know what the nesting doll/russian doll protocol does for the arthropoid shipset? I can't seem to find any in-game mechanics it affects. I imagine it has something to do with carrier versus non-carrier, but beyond that I'm not sure

Ok, so this is the part that you need to put in serction "military stations" in file caled
00_ship_sizes.txt

Also, changing is_designable = no to yes in colonizer, constructor, etc. allows you to change their components in fleet's design menu (they are visible there (useful when you are using mods adding new armour, power core, etc, and game doesn't see them as an upgrade to vanilla items))

Update: I added lines of code to file 00.ship_sizes.txt and I am now a proud owner of a fortress and defence station that previously was unavailable ;)

Can't post it here because it is over 1000 symbols, if anyone wants the solution, please suggest how can I send it to you

@ludi1989 Its because mod hasnt been updated yet since pdx changed one thing in case of starbases and all mods providing new defence platforms stopped working. MorallyGray have said that this problem is fixed but in new version of mod, yet this version hasnt been published yet. We are all waiting :)

Any News? I know you had plans for a holiday update, but I know how holidays get, Just excited.

Might want to make a mod inspired by this that implements a hero vessel of a cruiser size for each set. Limited to one, can't be in a fleet, and fast. Best used for reinforcing a losing battle.

Really like the idea of small ship focus for Aquatics. Paired with missiles & torpedoes, it gives a very "school of fish" feeling.

For bonus, maybe small ships have +% chance to disengage, and some small armor & hull regeneration.
