not working?

Anyone using this mod may want to check out the V2 version:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2831167383

This adds about 1100 additional shapes, including triangle and inverse corners up to 4m tall in the 3rd dimension, along with more gradual slope transitions and offsets, and many more curve block options. It has been split up into two smaller mods this time, a "common" materials version, and a second with everything else. Lead is also included this time. Make sure to note the install notes on each mod's page.

A Suggestion i have is to have blocks of half height I.E 1*2*0.5 along with the inverse. I love the wedge block this game has allowing us to put a corner in the middle of an odd wide object but a side effect is that its steeper then the 1*2 so i effective get a slight bulge at the front of my ship before the point as i cant have a 1*2 vertically that is thin enough to stretch length ways and have it be steeper then 45 degrees. If you are confused i am happy to upload my ships hull so i can show you exactly what i mean.
An example from another game is space engineers, it has half blocks and their slopes and corners.

YES!!! Thank you! After spending an hour or 2 doing the tutorials and went into free build i noticed after a build the cross section of my hull that there were no X*X only 1*X blocks meaning i couldnt make a curver that went past 45 degrees. Coming from stormworks that had 1x1 1x2 1x4 2x2 2x4 and 4x4 as the only slope options i thought that this games inclusion of things like wedges square backed corners and 3*X blocks would make it easier and look nicer, only to go "well now how the fuck do i make this? i cant build curves on more then one dimension".

I normally wait untill ive experienced the base game before i use mods so i can tell when something is and isnt modded but this mod will forever be enabled.

Will there be icons in the future? It's kind of a headache trying to find the right piece right now
Pokeking 26. apr. 2022 kl. 18:08
Absolutely amazing for building! The 5m beam blocks are amazing because 4m blocks are great for their length and durability, but they have no center block unlike the 3m variant!

My only complaint there isn't a 5m beam slope in here. Vanilla has a 4m beam slope and this must-have mod adds 2m & 3m beam slopes, but not a 5m beam slope!
Baastiplays 14. apr. 2022 kl. 1:45
i suggest you to add 5-8m versions of applique panels
Rabiator 13. apr. 2022 kl. 9:15
I noticed that some of the larger pieces get cracy high health boni, up to +320% for 8x8 pieces. Pretty OP. I have not tried it yet, but it might break game balance massively. I already suggested to cap the bonus at max. 20% in the official FTD suggestion forum. But perhaps there is something you can do on your side?
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 22. feb. 2022 kl. 18:07
Just put out a new release, should cover most of the errors currently in this comments section.

Major update with new blocks and menu re-arrangements is planned, may take a good while though.

Just a quick note, the 3m beam slope for metal and alloy appears to have incorrect drag settings when mirrored. This causes some of my gaster thrustercraft to list one way when trying to go straight. Replacing them with regular 1m slopes fixes the issue, and the drag view does show the mirrored beam slope having much higher drag than its unmirrored counterpart.
your average engineer 28. okt. 2021 kl. 10:37
who knew somthing so simple could be so helpfull
Henwald 21. okt. 2021 kl. 15:09
Hello, great mod, however I noticed a texture bug on one side of the inverted 8M metal beams and on the other ones as well.
123nick 16. okt. 2021 kl. 17:01
Will this be updated too support the new Armor Refit system? where all armor of X type is replaced with Y type? IE 4m beams of alloy become 4m heavy armor, 4m slopes alloy become 4m slopes heavy armor, etc
MaXXod 29. juli 2021 kl. 8:53
To the creator of this mod. Thank you. My ships look so much better now. This is a fantastic mod.
Resetium 27. juli 2021 kl. 23:39
Found a suggestion, if it isn't here:
Slope transitions more than 1 block wide (and preferably smoother than the vanilla ones).
Explanation:
Say you want to turn a 3m slope into a 2m slope. But to make the boat look good, you want that transition to happen over 2 meters. How do you do that? Well, you have to do a lot of messing with decorations/mimics to make a 2m to 3m slope transition 2 meters wide. And that's no good. Thus, in this case we'd want something like a "2m to 3m slope transition 2m" to fit that gap.
(oh, and that block would be 3x1x2 in size)
Solace 26. juli 2021 kl. 5:22
and the inverse 5x2 metal transition is labeled 5x3
Solace 26. juli 2021 kl. 5:21
Also extremely minor naming report: the left 5x4 metal corner is labeled 5x3
Solace 17. juli 2021 kl. 18:31
Hello, I greatly appreciate this mod, but I found there is still a block shape that would be very useful that isnt present. I understand if you're done working on it or just dont want to, but would it be possible to get a sloped triangle corner block to allow sloping a shape in multiple directions at once?

as an example of what I mean, think of a 4 meter triangle corner, facing forwards. If you raised the tip of the triangle corner by 1 meter on the z axis, you would be able to use it to make a gradual curve both upwards and to the side rather than only being able to really do one at a time. I hope I explained it adequately, I'm not great at words.

Anyways, thankyou for your consideration.
Kyross 16. juli 2021 kl. 12:00
My only wish is that a 1m pyramid block comes out that's like, half height so it blends into the regular 1m slope instead of still jutting weirdly upwards. All of my fortifications are pyramids and I either have to make them in even widths, which screws with a lot of turrets, engine symmetry, and other uneven components or the current pyramid piece weirdly sticks up like a spike.
Sierra-137 13. juli 2021 kl. 7:31
The only thing its missing are the square-backed blocks (and lack of lead variants) but other than that, this is my favorite mod on this game.
Augmented_Orange 8. juli 2021 kl. 10:48
This is so good, wonder why it hasn't been integrated in the base game.
Resetium 16. juni 2021 kl. 9:25
Holy crap, this is exactly what I needed! I was debating figuring out the modding system just to make blocks like these, but this helps a ton! Thank you!
And Happy-Guy, that's probably a thing that should be added just to even out the list.
Happy-Guy 1. juni 2021 kl. 15:22
I am probably the only one asking for this but can you do lead block as well
MG_Cozmic 1. juni 2021 kl. 8:35
I just noticed this but i believe the hit-box for the Alloy Curve to Square (3x3x1m Right) block is incorrect. It seems to want to fill a space 2 meters high instead of 1 meter like the Alloy Curve to Square (3x3x1m Left).
uzimahmood 3. maj 2021 kl. 13:11
This has finally enabled me to create what I have envisioned. The best content created for ftd period. The only block missing is the backed corners, at least from what I can gather so far.
theye1 23. apr. 2021 kl. 5:59
the is a awesome mod thank you.
Live Fish Scout Reaction 9. apr. 2021 kl. 18:10
Thank you so much
Moth 10. mar. 2021 kl. 7:08
i tried that, but it still is a problem, would making a video help explain it better??
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2021 kl. 21:31
I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, maybe try unsubscribing and re subscribing? Sounds like it might be some sort of FTD issue.
Moth 9. mar. 2021 kl. 4:32
i click on it, but it doesn't come up with the window that has the save mod in folder, no window opens, it makes the sound when you click on it, but it doesn't open
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 8. mar. 2021 kl. 20:42
From the main starting menu, hit the "content" tab at the top. In the "mods" section of that menu, hit the "download" button. A list of subscribed mods should appear there. Click the button for Mega Slopes Pack, and a new window should appear. Scroll to the bottom of that window, and hit the "save mod in (new) folder MegaSlopesPack" button. You will likely need to restart the game, and then the new menus should show up. The blocks are placed in additional menus at the very top right of each included block type's menu i.e. go to blocks --> metal and there should be a "mega slopes pack - metal" menu added.

Hope that helps :)
Moth 8. mar. 2021 kl. 7:45
how do you install, i'm confused, can i have someone help me? i have subscribed to it, but i don't know how to use them in the game?
Coe⁧⁧✔️[Quality Control] 5. mar. 2021 kl. 15:07
@rezesa

Devs are notorious for being general lazy assholes that refuse to even begin working on things if they're remotely """big""" or """complicated""" features or changes.
rezesa 5. mar. 2021 kl. 15:03
Or at least the game needs this way more than the silly huge missiles or the anime waifu sound orgasm.
Coe⁧⁧✔️[Quality Control] 5. mar. 2021 kl. 9:37
This needs to be put into the base game ASAP. The sheer amount of block counts that can be shaved down for FPS boosts will be staggering.
Fraulein Fox 4. mar. 2021 kl. 23:24
It worked for me now! Appreciate it
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 4. mar. 2021 kl. 16:11
I wasn't getting this problem, but I went ahead and released and update, as I had an error to fix anyway, could try re-downloading. Hopefully that will fix things.
Fraulein Fox 3. mar. 2021 kl. 22:58
For some reason, Mega Slopes no longer shows up after the update. Reinstalled, verified etc etc.
rezesa 15. feb. 2021 kl. 10:01
It was broken for me, like half of the new blocks were missing. I tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe, but somehow steam doesn't allow me. I'm still playing with 2.8.2.5.
So technicly I unable to download it.
Can i download an erlier version of this somehow?
Mars327 8. feb. 2021 kl. 10:05
All i can keep saying as i go back and smooth out some of my ships is why isnt this base game? Awsome mod havent even used it 5 min yet and i am IN LOVE <3!!!!
Alice (She/Her) 29. jan. 2021 kl. 15:03
LOVE your mod ty for all the hard work!
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. 2021 kl. 22:39
Yeah, as it turns out, that's probably true of most of the blocks, I found out after making several dozen shapes that mine and the devs definitions of "left" vs "right" are opposite. Those transitions might be a good place to just swap the block names though, ill look into that one.
Execute Order 66 21. jan. 2021 kl. 8:48
Found a mix up for ya. The larger offsets (5-8m) have the left and right side versions backwards from the vanilla parts. Its just a naming error.
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. 2021 kl. 21:27
Got the rounded beams fixed, update released now.
Cannery Frigate 19. jan. 2021 kl. 23:51
Got another bug to squash, when placing a 2m rounded beam of any material, the mirrored block has a hitbox of 1x3 instead of 1x2.
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 19. jan. 2021 kl. 14:17
You may want to try downloading again if you haven't already, I can't find any reference to that GUID in the mod's files. May want to verify your FTD files with Steam as well. I'm not really sure what is causing that error. If others are having this problem, I will release another update and that will likely correct it.
MCSC-MioFa 19. jan. 2021 kl. 8:02

Just released another update, corrected the errors that Borderwise found in his review.
Rayle 18. jan. 2021 kl. 13:21
The YouTuber Borderwise has done a review on your mod! https://youtu.be/rmaFEvexyN4

Personally I can't imagine not playing without this mod anymore. All of the extra shapes and sizes have streamlined building a lot. My favorite addition has been the new beam slope sizes. If you could also include beam slopes of 5m-8m to match the beams, that would be awesome! No pressure to do that though. I'm really enjoying the 8m beams too. For huge sections, I can not only build faster but also use less blocks. I'm sure this will help reduce the strain on the PC for large creations.

This honestly makes the game feel complete; these shapes should be in it already, or at the very least the beam slopes and corner pieces. It would be cool to see this get mainlined. I feel comfortable leaving this installed without fear of an update breaking things and preventing me from using any of my craft. Thanks for all of your hardwork on this mod and I hope you continue to support it in the future :)
mcs175  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2021 kl. 14:11
Fixed the 3x3 corner errors, found the same error across most materials, should be good now. Released an update just now. Re-download and restart the game and it should take effect. If you had any of the erroneous 4x4 corners saved in a design, they will need to be replaced manually.
