yeah it doesnt work in b42.9 it keeps reseting to 0 weight instead of the normal Negative weight vaule.
prescko 16 Jun @ 2:41am
b42.9 no work
Jimmy 2.0 4 Jun @ 5:37pm
Works with Build 42. However, you still can't exceed the max of 50lbs in your inventory even with the WeightVoid active, and putting the WeightVoid in containers doesn't affect the storage capacity of those containers anymore.

works then stops working. Had high hopes for this.

same
octopusesoup12 21 Mar @ 7:04am
does not work right just turns off in a few seconds
Da Honey Badger 15 Mar @ 11:03am
For some reason when its activated in a bag it slows my move speed down to a crawl.
JimmyAgent007 8 Mar @ 9:01pm
If it helps, the mod "carry more weight [infinite inventory capacity]" has some features that do the job but less than ideal. If you can look under the hood on that mod or something it might help you out.
TracerTerry 1 Feb @ 2:27pm
is it not working for anyone else because i activate it it shows lots of weight but i have a limit around 50 where i can no longer pick stuff up
ShadeMeister 31 Jan @ 11:10am
This needs an update if possible I prefer this over the other infinite weight, because you can pick and choose what gets infinite helpful for keeping bases organized
Lüks Artvin 31 Jan @ 9:09am
I wish it would work for containers and bags
ShadeMeister 26 Jan @ 12:00pm
I Activate it and it works for a moment then stops working even though i didn't disable it
JimmyAgent007 5 Jan @ 7:08am
The thing I liked about this was that it let me turn it off and on, like after a loot run so I didnt have to fight my ADD with going to the truck/trailer and back to containers 50 times, I could just grab everything and sort as I store. Also it let me apply infinite capacity to containers as needed.

Other mods CAN work, this one is simply the best. @Kechna You do good work!
AnCaLaGoN 3 Jan @ 5:00am
It works at first, but then it disappears.
Sziklamester 2 Jan @ 11:13pm
I tested some but it seems to me they limited something because I set on my mods the capacity high but the game does notrecognizing it. I am now using the better bag mods as an example mod and changed some stuff there to get the capacity. The mod is not mine but for testing purposes made my own changes and seems not works.

I would say worth to check these mods and if you can figure out a solution but I think this one is now differently coded. Simply because the crafting system changed so the materials they needed also changed and that may indicate they reworked the overall carry part.

My other issue is I do not know how to make mods for b42. On b41 I made an example mod followed an existing mod to get the structure but in b42 I do not know what requires because my mod folder for mods does not recognize my mods.

Did they changed the location where the mods loaded or just missing something else?
Thanks the answer if you know that.
Kechna  [author] 2 Jan @ 12:53pm
It works the same as it did in B41 but it appears to not work anymore. I've seen a couple of other B42 mods pop up that give unlimited carrying capacity, maybe those will work for you.

In case anyone *really* likes the way this one is implemented, I could take a look at those mods and try to find a solution.
Sziklamester 1 Jan @ 7:49am
In the B42 they restricted some of the weight limits and no matter if you mod your bags up to 1000-10000 or more capacity with 100% reduction, the game only will stay on 50kg and 63 if you have the ability to pack more. I did not tested this mod yet but I believe it should be located somewhere else the weight limitter in other files. The only option currently what I see is to make the weight of all items to 0.0001 with this you can almost achieve what the bag capacity updates supposed to do but instead you have very light items.

I do not know how to mod in b42 because in b41 my mod folder was right to add the mod but depsite I followed other mods how to be made in this new way I cannot add mods because the game does not recognize it. Either a new folder needs for the mods or they added some other requirements to make a mod.

Does this work? In debug mode there is a unlimited carry option so maybe it can enable that without the reset of debug mode?
Noctrium 25 Dec, 2024 @ 4:41pm
I hope you can fix this mod, it's very good but now it stops at 50 weight :(
cocoayoc 24 Dec, 2024 @ 9:43am
doesn't work for me, my character still shows the effects of pain from the weight however doesn't slow down walking
Loot Bukkake 21 Dec, 2024 @ 6:55am
Something that may help for the time being: it was found that weight capacity is hard-baked into the Java and cannot be adjusted much as result. Max bag capacity is 50lb, a car trunk is 1000lb, and I believe containers are capped at 100lb. I am sure that this is a bug and will be made modifiable again in the future, but for the time being I doubt this mod will work as intended.
sin 21 Dec, 2024 @ 3:14am
Is it possible to just do what you did from b41, where you make a button on right click that adds a weight void item?
Kechna  [author] 21 Dec, 2024 @ 1:54am
I haven't thoroughly tested it or changed any behavior. I just saw the "overencumbered" Moodle go away when activating it. Seems like something changed in B42 and I will have to find a different way of increasing the carry weight :/
Samepad 20 Dec, 2024 @ 2:11pm
50 kg max only
sneakwolfhond 20 Dec, 2024 @ 11:45am
this only gives me 50kg extra
Rekalty 20 Dec, 2024 @ 11:40am
The void item does have a high negative weight in the files, but the game doesn't seem to like that, any negative value becomes zero when ingame.
Rekalty 20 Dec, 2024 @ 11:19am
Build 42: Adding the void item to inventory only sets max carry weight super high, but you still won't be able to carry more than 50kg on you regardless of the 2½ million listed capacity.

Moving the item to a container doesn't alter the container's capacity as the item itself has zero weight, guessing you're modifying the capacity in a way that isn't related to the item itself. Also, the item cannot be moved into bags/worn containers, it just makes the item itself vanish into thin air.

Don't get me wrong, being able to carry 50kg is great, but it's quite a bit less than advertised.
Loot Bukkake 20 Dec, 2024 @ 9:48am
I have not used this mod before B42 so forgive me if I am misunderstanding, but when right clicking my backpack, or while in my backpack inventory, and activating the mod, it makes my characters inventory infinite but does not affect the bag itself. I thought this would affect just the bag in question, but if I'm wrong let me know and I'll remove the comment.
Kechna  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 8:41am
@die Katze (OB) I've just updated it :)
Eine Blöde Dummkoff 18 Dec, 2024 @ 9:02am
can we get B42 pls :GreedPuke: (me crying)
spheresofmadness 17 Jun, 2023 @ 12:55am
does this also give backpacks inf cap
Captain SuperEarth 18 Dec, 2022 @ 5:41pm
DO NOT put void into your backpack or trunk,it may cause cars extremly fast and your character cant run
You can try this on trunk or back, still, dont left too much negative encombrance values in it

In multiplayer, who will be able to use it? Admin only? (i hope not)
JimmyAgent007 29 Aug, 2022 @ 5:45am
@RainOfPain125 You can place the Void into containers to give them infinite capacity. I do it all the time.

for backpacks and fannypacks I use School Bag of Holding 2 Electric Boogaloo
RainOfPain125 28 Aug, 2022 @ 11:44pm
I wish someone would make a mod like this, except give containers infinite capacity. Its so annoying trying to sort stuff even with the container-sort mod, when an existing container fills up completely and theres nothing to do but get another.
Playzr 🐵 27 Jun, 2022 @ 12:35pm
Ah nevermind my cheat didn't work after I disabled debug mode it was gone and the weight was restored to the default. Still searching for a mod to increase my storage capacity so I don't have to unload my stuff into various containers.
Playzr 🐵 27 Jun, 2022 @ 12:31pm
As an alternative, I figured out in debug mode I can edit any item and change the weight to -10000 and put it in a container to achieve the same result as this mod.
Playzr 🐵 27 Jun, 2022 @ 12:21pm
Doesn't seem to work. I don't see anything when I right click on items in my inventory.
Stef 18 May, 2022 @ 6:23pm
Is there any way to reduce the lag created when you have tons of items in a container or in your inventory? I'm willing to deep dive, but its hard to play hydrocraft and other mods without this and maybe the container mod, which helps with crafting.
FluffySnake 24 Mar, 2022 @ 3:19pm
I've published a version which implements those changes I described https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2784102669
FluffySnake 19 Mar, 2022 @ 1:51pm
excellent mod, the current functionality is perfect (though if you want to change it as you state in the description, I hope you'll add a toggle for that so you can always add one), I'd just love if there was an in-game option to edit how much weight it subtracts, but for now editing the mod files isn't too hard
davejim 18 Feb, 2022 @ 3:28am
Just tried swapping stuff around.. I now have 3 duffel bags with reduced weight void items just in general inventory and one reduced weight void in general inventory .. and it looks like i can dance with the zombies again.
I have an extra weight void item, which did not seem to cause any problems which I stowed in a cabinet but I will return to main inventory - because i will stick it in my gun case when I want to put more shotguns in there, then remove it for walking around.. apparently containers only seem to check allowable weight when you are putting things into them, so you can have 50 kilos in your fanny pack.
davejim 18 Feb, 2022 @ 3:09am
found that moving it to bags/satchels has killed my nimble, which is irritating. I was hoping to get all the furniture, tools, and building materials I had been carrying into secondary bags so I didnt have to keep scrolling past them to find stuff.
I tried editing the value to roughly 1/6 (-1499999 whatever instead of -9999999), in the hope I could have multiple instances without offending the game, but I still move like a 90 year old once I hold that right mouse button.:steamsad:
JimmyAgent007 13 Feb, 2022 @ 7:54pm
I would also like to confirm that my sprinting doesnt work when I use this on a backpack. Sometimes i get a stutter sprint for one step then im limping. Maybe it thinks we are overburdened? Also, if you put it into a car and load it up, it sinks into the ground.
The Milk Man 12 Feb, 2022 @ 8:10pm
Found that if you drag the void into a bag to make it unlimited storage (which works) it will also disable your ability to sprint. I can only jog until I take the void out of my backpack. Can sprint with it just on my personal storage. Love the mods. Keep up the great work!
The Milk Man 12 Feb, 2022 @ 11:58am
Works great on build 41. The display of weight is a little buggy but you can drag the void into bags and everything has no weight. Thanks a bunch. Game changer for the hoarder in me.
Neocrosse 29 Jan, 2022 @ 1:52pm
THANK YOU, I put my bag in a bag and this has saved me!
TracerFoxTEK 4 Jan, 2022 @ 7:37pm
One idea might be to change the item's category to something that would always sort either first or last.
Necrosx 4 Jan, 2022 @ 1:03pm
Increasing max carrying capacity shouldnt really be needed if the item itself is providing a massive negative weight. The name prefix does set it apart, as long as you're sorting inventory by name. By category it ends up mixed in at the end of the Item category. Not a huge deal for myself, since I prefer sorting by name, but for those that sort by category it might get mixed in when they're trying to move everything.

@Yomamma[QD] Only admins can enable the weight void in their inventories.
Polopop777-Алексей 2 Jan, 2022 @ 12:42pm
I clicked on the gun in the inventory and turned on this cheat, and now I cannot increase the weight in my backpack on my back, as it always appears in the inventory in the box. How can I roll back the settings ??? reinstalling didn't help this mod. Thank you
