I dont do Arma 3 modding anymore, have not for ages, feel free to copy the mod, make changes and repost it. Thats why i have it under ADPL-SA licence(ARMA AND DAYZ PUBLIC LICENSE SHARE ALIKE)

Why are names of the soilders Greek instead of English or Afrikaans? Still good moddels and guns though.

Any chance you going to use the New CDLC and the Tanks DLC items to remove the mod requirements for this mod? its the only thing that is stopping me from downloading it right now. this looks very clean!

This is 90% just uniforms, equipment and reskins - only new weapon is the shotgun and the only new vehicle is Puma chopper.

Hey, have you considered the RS-16 mod for this? It adds a nice new futuristic South African rifle that I think would fit pretty well.

You can also change up the names of your units to fit more to South Africa by using genericNames. This is defined under CfgWorlds. So, basically it would be structured sort of like this:

class CfgWorlds
{
class GenericNames
{
class SAF2035_SouthAfricanNames
{
class FirstNames
{
johannes = "Johannes"
david = "David"
john = "John"
michael = "Michael"
};
class LastNames
{
dlamini = "Dlamini"
nkosi = "Nkosi"

And in the soldier config, you would put: genericNames = "SAF2035_SouthAfricanNames";

This is a pretty good mod, I really love how you got creative and put the webbing in the backpack slots to use as pouches. Have you ever considered using content from Aegis/Atlas? I think the Raven helmet from that mod would look pretty nice on the SANDF troops here rather than the 'ol AAF PASGT.

Also, I suggest changing the identityTypes property for the faces so you can have the African and European faces at the same time. I noticed that you inherited from the AAF classes, which use the "Head_Greek" face pool. You change this by putting this line in the config of each soldier: identityTypes[] = {"LanguageGRE_F","Head_NATO","Head_African","G_NATO_default"};

Quick tip about the identityTypes string, you can actually add multiple voices or face pools into this. For example, if you wanted to have LangaugeGRE_F (Altian voices) and LanguageENGB_F (British voices) together, you can do identityTypes[] = {"LanguageGRE_F","LanguageENGB_F","Head_NATO","Head_African","G_NATO_default"};

A really nice mod overall! But it really needs some reorganizing. The new desert faction doesn't have any groups. Some units are missing weapons, such as the Marksman and Heavy Gunner.

Good mod, always nice to see a decent SANDF mod for Arma 3 :D

IMHO TF47 Launchers isn't needed, the RPG would be more "realistic". The gear is all over the place, maybe re-think the loadout?

All in all i really like this, much needed. Keep up the good work :D

I have noticed that when you play as a Zeus you are very limited to what you can spawn in for the SANDF faction. If you restart the scenario then you get a more but then the tank crewmen are AAF units. Other than that i have to applaud you for all the work that has been done thus far. It is absolutely a wonderful mod and experience.

Its allowed but i want the least amount of dependencies ... besides 90% of communities use either RHS or CUP which gets a bit mundane. Besides South Africa did not develop there military alow the conventional Western or Russian lines.

Love the new woodland camo, it looks so good ! My suggestions for cool possible additions: Retexture of the vanilla nato Helmets for more variation. If possible retexturing the raven vest and adding it as a backpack since it would go well with the light vests. Signing the mod for MP.

RKSL's Puma, thou it is a great model its not balances when compared to Vanilla Choppers. It handles almost better than a humming bird and its very twitchy for the size of the chopper. IMHO its handing should be slightly better than the AAF's Mohawk but less than the Ghosthhawk.

The Puma fills the medium utility helicopter role, very similar to the Mohawk/Merlin...which means SANDF has attach chopper (Commanche), mid level transport/gunshiop chopper (Hellcat) and the Mohawk (Medium -> heavy utility chopper). This leaves a very clear gap in the small recon/gunship/transport role, whiles the hummingbird/pawnee could be considered as a candidate its not ideal.
