There are cheat programs that do that and more ChokeMaster. I try to use them as little as possible because I prefer just using a mod if one is available like this one, but if you need one for buildings look up WeMod

Going to echo the requests for a 2x or 4x research speed mod, this is the only working mod on the workshop that changes 1212 research speed and 4TPY doesn't jel too well with 200+ turns until we can use better units. Anyways, thanks for your work and giving us this free content.

I just tested it and it works as intended. It must be a problem on your side. Remember to put the mod at the top of the load order.
