Would love a Hero version (not just a capped one legendary hero as you mentioned.) Love the mod. I may be mistaken, but it seems to me that "Living Embodiment of Ghyran" is not currently working. It shows it active on all units, but doesn't seem to actually heal.
Keep up the good work. I love Zoats and love the work you are doing. Keep it up please!!

Thanks for the mod! I understand peoples concern with OP units but honestly I like when units feel really powerful so hopefully you dont nerf them too much.

@Grayfox Im working on a legendary hero/lord version right now (going to take awhile work is a bitch) and capping him to one. The bound spells will most likely be converted into their own lore with magic costs. I will be making a seperate set of spells for the monster version that are tuned down versions of these. They are strong because they are basically stronger version of the lore of life spells but tweaked. Especially flesh to stone 60 armor to the wood elves is trash so I converted it to ward save. Also if your wondering why the dwellers below literally deletes a unit is because I forgot to add a condition so its doing 5 damage a tick to every entity in its aoe.

also: the bound spells are really cool but heavily over-tuned. Six seems a bit much for a unit that isnt a lord or hero. You could give it regrowth (one or two charges) and dwellers bellow (one charge) and then turn the other abilites into weakened passives (e.g. "Living Embodiment of Ghyran" could be a mortis engine effect where the zoat heals nearby allies whilst in combat and "Nature's Wrath" could be renamed "Nature's Grasp" and have a permanent slowing effect like frostbite). Or you could keep the bound spells (get rid of "Nature's Wrath", "Wrath of the Ancient" and "Ward of the Ancient") but give them downsides (e.g. with "Living Embodiment of Ghyran" you could have him be stationary or with "Call of the Ancients" it also affect allies etc...)
I hope Im not coming off too judgy. I really like this mod and would love to see it get developed into smth really cool (and perhaps balanced)

A suggestion: I was disappointed when CA made the "Enigmas of Ghyran". I thought they passed up the opportunity to make the ROR be the "Shaggoth" version of the zoats. So... you could turn this into "The Enigma of Ghyran". That way, you would be capped at one but you would also be giving it a more mythical and legendary status. You also wouldnt have to nerf it quite as much since RORs tend to be on the strong side.

Wow, this is awesome. I especially like the addition of the casting animation, really cool stuff. That being said, even with the beefy upkeep this unit is still pretty insane. Most of these buff spells are better than any buff spell in the game, and he has multiple charges of each. Combine that with a high mass, terror causing, leadership buffing, magic resist lowering, armor piercing, monster smacking, wallbreaker with a great statline and regen and you've got a regular unit that is substantially better than like half the legendary lords in the game. If he is going to keep his current form without nerf, I think it needs to be a RoR so you can only recruit one, because I think this unit is so powerful there can be only one, and it could probably beat any combination of 700 gold per turn worth of other units. I like the idea of the zoats having their own Kholek basically. I'd say make it a RoR or another legendary hero.

@Calibrated Yea I accidentally added the dryads keyword to him meaning he gets all of the dryad upkeep buffs, it will be fixed in the next release when I get off work today.

Hes only 385 upkeep with drycha campaign buffs BUT the regular zoats are 446 upkeep.. I think he should def be more upkeep than regular zoats. This is my only mod so far.

Can you make a submod of this for The Truthsayers of Albion in the OvN mod? They already added the CA zoats to the faction having the Ancient Zoat would be the icing on the cake for the faction :)

Basically Zoats are the embodiment of Ghyran and from birth are able to masterfully channel its winds. The best life mages in the world have been taught by Zoats.

Their lore dosent say anything about only casting from the lore of life just that they are born with an innate mastery over its winds. But yea the zoat lord is most likely going to have the lore of life treeman skill tree with some reworked skills, added Zoat and lore of life cooldown/cost buffs and some really strong unlock-able bound spells. But it will be awhile before I can get it finished.

This is a great mod, but theres a problem. Zoats cast from the lore of Life only, they are thought to be literal embodiments of the Wind of Ghyran, so an Ancient Zoat should be a master of All spells from the Lore of Life, no other lores. and it would be cool to see a Zoat lord

@Caesar That was the plan, Going to make a weaker version of this unit call it a Zoat Chieftan and keep him as the monster unit and make this version a Lord type. But im still learning so it may take awhile

@tastiger841 Its what missiles and magic hit to do damage, his hitbox was the same size as Kholeks even though he was slightly bigger.
