Every CBE mods are compatible with SFO except Proper Effects Addon, but you have an alternate compatible version of this particular submod. ;)
Yes unfortunately, that's also not works perfectly fine, because of a vanilla issue related on how terrain types work with map and their related effects, more details here . I haven't found any way to fix that for now and it's probably not fixable easily or not at all.
I can probably improve performances, but for that I must work on the vfx xmls themself and I don't have the time and motivation for now. And the performance impact will probably remain quite important, so I don't know if it really worth to take time for that.
I would probably have edited the vfx to have a coherent color dust if bounded terrains effects was not a mess.
Anyway, you have a lighter dust version of the mod in this ressources package . But that always have a noticable impact on performances. ;)
The bad news: This mod works too well.
Expect a noticeable (4-10) fps drop with this mod on.
Feel free to do what you want with that. ;)
I took a deeper look and in fact their effects are not related to dust at all. It's more like something to simulate a light cloud effect where the horses walk, I don't know exactly what is the idea but I think it's that.
So I changed my mind. I don't want to remove it for now, I will try rework that when I can, however I have something for you.
If you prefere to remove it, or if you don't want to use Thicker Dust with the new effect later, here you have a file that disable this effect [drive.google.com].
Simply drop it into your game data folder and enjoy :
by default : " ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II\data "
(delete it of your game data folder to uninstall it)
Because that really annoying me.
I will look but yes probably, the only way to remove the dust effect of flying knights is probably to edit "battle entities tables" or a junction related table that is commonly use in most gameplay mods.
Another thing, if you ask yourself why the dust is white in desert, it's because it use snow effects, terrains related effects is a nightmare in warhammer 2 because of that :

Honestly I didn't saw any dust from flying units, are you sure it's not coming from another mod ?
Ok but it's here in vanilla too, I can't do anything for that, other than completely remove footstep and maybe walking effects.
For flying units it's maybe related to monstrous infantry settings. I will take a look if I can reduce a bit more that, or creat their own effects (but if I do that the mod become incompatible with nearly everything).
This submod is very simple I didn't really rework anything, only increse some frequency effects. Maybe in the futur I will rework that in more deph and edit every vfx, but for the final difference and all the issues related to the terrain types in warhammer 2 I don't know if it's really worth the time.
You have here all of my changes [docs.google.com], with the vanilla values too, for now if you want to use this mod, I recommand you to download PFM or RPFM and tweak them like you want.
Ok sorry I misunderstood.
I took a look in game on Zombies and Swordsmen, and for me nothing really different than vanilla, that is coherent with the mod settings because I didn't tweak the footsteps, and only increased walking effect frequency from 0.06 to 0.15 (what's remains really low, for the same reason of what you said).
Keep in mind that dust depends of terrains, but if you have exemple in the same circumstance I could take a look to them.
What do you mean by standing ?
If you don't want dust changes don't use this mod. You can use any other Cinematic Battle Effects mods without this one with no issues, if it's your question.
However if you want a lighter dust version of the mod, you can find it into this ressources package . I will update it in some days.
Hi, yes dust changes have been moved here, they are no longer contained into the main mod. ;)
