What happens to the regular Hand of the Shadow Crown that are summoned via a rite when this mod is active?

Looks really good! I can't help but feel as if they should be Alith Anar exclusive. Make them available for all factions, but no way to get easy cap. Alith should only be able to give cap to them. and if you confederate him, you get a small portion of cap from Alith.

Making it valuable to confederate him.

I might make my own version of a hero mod like this one day.

@Advice , its not related to this last update. happened to me also 2 months ago in campaign in progress.. after some time they just changed to dryad model/card. hope this helping in locating problem :P

So not sure what the update today was for but it seems to have broken this mod for me on my current campaign. Model and unit card are being replaced with a Beastman Centigor, Which I think is CA's way of saying it can't find them.

I like using this as a Fighter and as an agent on the map. But for me there are discrepencies depending the skills. The skill tree lets you upgrade "Assault Garrisson", "Assualt Units" and "Assassination", but the actions performed are "Damage Buildings", "Hinder Replenishment" and "Wound".

I see it is in the to-do list, but I do think it needs a ranged combat skill line.

Speaking of mixed back stage workings I think but cannot be certain that they only add bonus replenishment like handmaidens instead of the discovery intended. Tried to swap this myself to increased mobility but it appears stuck. By this I mean on both on the tooltip of course but also the active effects on army section when clicked on the lord, bonus replenishment appears and has effect but not either scouting or my changed mobility when a point is sunk into the skill.

I'll look into it, but no promises. It's not as simple as it seems. Since they're classified as the same hero group as handmaidens, they sorta get intermingled with some of the backstage workings. Setting them to male names breaks their in-battle model, and makes them unrecruitable, among other things.

This is just a minor nitpick, but is it possible to give shadow crowns their own list of male names? Since they are given female names that handmaidens have, it makes it a bit weird. I know i can easily rename them but the AI can't so it makes it look silly when encountering them. Anyhow nice mod.

Would be nice to have the actual Hand of the Shadow crown as a normal fuctioning hero except he can't do anything other than 100% assassinate as actions and his skill tree is just combat stuff. And make the rite to summon him but then his 100% assassinate actions costs another 2k gold and has the cooldown that the ritual would have(so this way you sitll cant assasinate lords willy nilly but also you can use him as a unit as much as you want) as for the rite well if he ever dies he keeps his stats and all but he's not wouded and has to be resummoned with the rite.(And ofc he should be only one not more, plus as far as I know he's sort of a Legendary hero altough unamed pretty sure he has a name in the lore)
Tl:Dr the acual shadow hand would be nice if he was a unique hero that can be used in battle/assassinations. I have no ideea if a script could be made for him to work like that tho, just a suggestion.

Apologies you are absolutely correct, all lords and heroes get beams of light on campaign and battle.

Though 'if' you did use the normal shadow warrior skins - they do have 3-4 different colour variations you could potentially use. But I don't know how hard it is; this mod is absolutely brilliant already!

I was going to ask - is there anyway I can drop you a small tip for making this? Are you missing any of the DLC content for Warhammer perhaps?

Ain’t that just a thing all heroes have? I’ll look into it. They pretty much already just use shadow warrior meshes anyways.

Hey great mod! Just one thing; the Shadowhand retains it's 'beam of light' from the campaign map into the battle map. I don't know if there is any way this can be removed? Perhaps changing the model to just use the normal Shadow Warrior model might fix this (and add in cosmetic variation at the same time).

Sorry, but no. My goal with my mods is to make them as seamless with the base-game as possible. There are over 40 skill points available, which is enough for a max level character in a vanilla campaign. I typically do not design my mods with other mods in mind.
