Would it be possible to extend the information events, or make different events for the vassals? As alexios, I'd like to know what is going on through some events, and not only show them to the emperor. Also maybe an event if Alexios takes the throne?

this would need to be done in game rules before each start in 1066, or else this mod will not work.

Have to doubt it, but you can always check. I'd suggest loading Historical Invasions after this mod, and see if the Seljuks still invade Anatolia in 1080

I was once pondering doing a mod about the Fourth Crusade to spice up that area, but I just don't really add new features to my mods anymore. Too much effort, especially since I jump between so many different games

Ok I'm back to say the mod is working fine with the newest update! As you say I waited until 1080 and the invasion occurred normally. Great mod

This was intentional. I wanted to make him more easily playable from the beginning of the game. (I think children can't press claims, for instance)

The vanilla Alexios is with age of 10 at 1066, but this mod sets his age from 10 to 16. Is this because being an adult will be better prepared for Seljuk Invasion or it is a error?

@Necro they do. I just checked. The AI always invades on 1080.1.1. If they don't, you likely have a mod conflict.

does absolutely nothing as of now. Even with seljuks at 45k troops and Byzantines at 4k, they do not invade.

Maybe, maybe not. Your best bet to determine would be to do a quick observation run of the first 15 years or so. If you see Asia Minor conquered by the Seljuks, then they probably are at least somewhat compatible.

This is a great mod to have that makes Eastern Rome more enjoyable to play. That said I wish you fix the issue of character appearance to be randomized, I see others notice that as well and it irks me. Appreciate the effort.

Only use Muslim Enhancements in that case. See the section about "Compatibility" in the mod's description, it should answer your question!

Is this compatible with Muslim Enhancements? Because when I have both on, it looks like that mod overrides this one, even if I have this one prioritized in the load order. Am I doing something wrong? I love both mods and want to use both, so it'd be a shame if they couldn't mesh properly.

Huh, usually the Seljuks blob for a bit and then collapse from internal rebellions. I'll do a couple more observations runs and see what changes might need to be made. Paradox probably made some modifications to how the AI plays the game. Thanks for pointing this out!

IMO seljuk sultan needs a nerf and Rum guy needs a buff, and may be reduce the conquered area so only rum is formed and some duchies of nicaea shifts to rum instead of forming both rum and nicaea (this will again buff Rum, since duchies will shift to Rum) under seljuks, by buffing rum guy so they go for independence. Since he always loses and seljuk becomes a super power and even conquers ghaznavids and become super stable which was not case for this region. at this point no one even tries to take back any territory, where as byzantines recovered all of nicaea and some more area of anatolia under komneni restoration. Ghurids took over all of their eastern land.

From my own observations:
1. Seljuks should take longer to collapse than normal. They should normally collapse sometime in the late 12th century. And Rum is created, it won't be independent unless Suleman wins an independence war against the Seljuk Emperor.
2. The Pope should start calling for crusades a little earlier than normal. The fact that the crusades never happen in your games is unusual, but maybe play more games with the mod and see what happens

Just including the characters I need wouldn't do, if I remember correctly. Made this mod a year and a half ago, can't remember exactly. I think I found by trial and error that I needed to overwrite the whole file, but that might be wrong.

Why are you replacing the entire map_data/geographical_regions/geographical_region.txt and history/wars/00_war.txt files from vanilla? Same goes for most of the history files.

So Rum is a Kingdom-level title. Accordingly, the Seljuk Emperor should not form a country that has a lower rank than his current title.

About populist revolts, I haven't observed any myself. I'm guessing some of those historical mods essentially buff populists. I'm balancing this mod around vanilla, so unfortunately I can't help you much there :(

Thanks a lot for the great work, makes any Komenian run way more interresting!

One big councern I have is about the Seyljuks being too instable at start and even if they win in Armenia/Anatolia, the area is near immediately taken over by powerfull populist revolts.
Also there is a state of constant civil war in the Empire.

The decision to create Rum does not seems to appear after tagging to the Seljuk emperor, yet the kingdom is formed by revolters and is greek/orthodox.

This is happening with lots of consistancy every games. Have to say I'm doing this with lots of historical mod (Sinew of War, CCU, community mod packs etc ) enabled

I've been able to confirm that the invasions do happen. It could have happened that in your run, the Byzantines won. You can confirm that the mod is active if Malik Shah (King of Khorasan) is Alp Arslan's heir.

Absolutely nothing is happening after the release of FoI. The Seljuks sit on almost 40k troops and idle without attacking the Byzantines, it's way beyond 1100. :(

Ok, after 30 minutes of investigating, I still am not able to find what is causing the problem. I don't touch character appearance at all. If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate them. I'll keep looking regardless tomorrow.

I can confirm, it somehow randomizes not only all character appearances (except fixed historical ones) but also court room designs, e.g. you can get African design in Poland etc.

Hey Guys!

Love the mod, hate playing 1066 without it. However it seems like the mod is currently overriding a lot of the Fate of Iberia appearance changes within Spain, with a lot of rulers looking more Continental/Frankish in facial structure and not utilising the new hairstyles/beards.

I have a suggestion, when suleiman gets rum his capital should become konya, and the k_rum titles capital should also become konya, and suleiman should form a hybrid cultyre with greek.

Hi everyone, on May 31 (when Fate of Iberia releases) I'm going to be moving, so I won't be able to update the mod for probably about a week. There don't seem to be any changes that will affect this mod, so hopefully I can update it sooner. Have fun with Fate of Iberia!
