Just did a playthrough, very nice. I got out, but I have to admit it would be nice if the amount of zombies was lowered, as fighting at 14 fps is not ideal for immersion. Other than that lowering the loot drop chance of spoopy image notes would also be good, it might help with the memory issue people are having trying to spawn in.

Here to just inform everyone and the author that the infinite load issue can be subverted by starting the map as usual, and when the game refuses to load, simply close it and re-start, then you can load the save, and itll ask you to pick your spawn and character again, just pick Backrooms and make your character as usual, then the game should load as normal. I dont know why this is, but it worked for me and i got into the game.

Erin Azakaela, i have the same issue as ciemny.wolf and i'm not using any mods (though i have lots of mods installed)

now this, this is the type perfect for zomboid.

It conflicts with um, what's that map called, New Denver, i think.

Each time I try to load up a spawn for the backrooms, I instead start in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere. Is this happening to anyone else, or are there any map mods that are known to cause issues with the building's spawning?

When I boot up the mod, all the textures spawn in oversized and out of place. I look like a toddler running around? anyone else have this issue?

Do the zeds spawn back? Or do they follow the game settings?

Just go up to the top floor, find the northern most edge. Then keep walking southeast until you find where wooded terrain meets up with the building. Then run like a crazy person down two flights of stairs and out the building. Will end up on the western most edge of the PZ map

There seems to be phases/stages/whatever you want to call it to PZ's backrooms. They're nothing like the actual creepypasta for what I know, though.
The first one, which you start in, is mostly normal. Mostly empty with a few containers and sometimes even zombies.
The second one is where zombies are a problem. They spawn like crazy in it, and all of the rooms in the second have their lights turned off by default. Hope you stayed long enough in the first one, because you have virtually no more loot to keep you going.
The third is up a few staircases, in which it's pitch black with no walls other than for the staircases and edges of it; I have yet to get out of it.

Damn this map was fun. I'm currently scouting for the exit. So far I've found 2 of the edges for the backroom. The spawn tables are good,lots of tools in the supply rooms,I found some shotgun shells once in a box and the break rooms are hands down the best to hole up in temporarily. Gotta love couches.
I've been playing with survivor radio and RP-ing that I got lost escaping the zeds and no-clipped out of reality. Now all I got is the small amount of food I've scavenged,my radio to keep me sane and the weapons I've managed to scrounge.
I really like the maps being used for creepypasta pics and memes. Only one I don't recognize is the one titled "girl". The map itself is well laid out for a challenge map and the fact you can escape (with difficulty) makes it really fun.
So I've noticed some rooms are the same,whereas others are different. Whether slightly or greatly varies a lot. Did you clone sections and paste or did you individually craft each piece?
