Hey I made my own sword, but from the movie Blade. Can you tell me how you got your sword to be grabbable as a prop_physics, where even if the combine shoot it, it doesnt fall out of ur hand?

thanks it worked. and for anyone else wondering, no issues with left/right hand.
it would be cool if you added an on/off button but i dont mod so maybe its too much effort for little utility.

when i picked it up and i'm on medium fidelty which is not recommended but it crash half life alyx how do i fix this without lowering the fidelty and also my refresh rate is at the max please tell me a way to fix this without lowering the fidelty.

Nope, nothing clashed with anything, they just spawned together in one location, which wasn't too big of a deal. Super fun to throw the stunstick at enemies and then bring it back with the gravity gloves like it was a lightsaber, btw lmao

Ahaa, so it's just a "Sword Model" prop_physics entity, that has a trigger_hurt surrounding it?

Waiting for my Desktop to come back from repairs to get back into development, but I could probably start creating this now on my laptop...

This only uses a trigger_hurt for damage, which feels ok, since it's an energy sword. The stunstick also uses a trigger_hurt, but its' damage is controlled by a script and is based on velocity. Doing something like that would probably work better with a physical sword.

This would be even more amazing if we didn't have to grip the controller the whole time we want to hold it. Thankfully the wrist-pocketing works.

It's excessively powerful though. One swipe kills everything.. well, except Jeff I bet. If anything SHOULD it would be this.

Yeah a barnicle just grabbed the handle, I killed it but might aswell have just said goodbye to it. It can go in your wrist pockets too.
