Been playing it in campagn with my friends - outstanding sub! Really well thought through! Also, I notice a lack of bottom docking hatch functionality. Wonder if there's a reason why it's not there

Okay, I went on a psychosis-induced workspree, and two hours later I found the culprit. The name's mod is complete global darkness, and due to it being activated by lua it doesnt turn off without directly turning the LUA off. Anyway, i think the problem arrives due to the fact that the mod removes item's higlight.

Hey I know it has been a while since your offer but I released my first sub. It would be amazing if you could give a quick look and tell me if I did something wrong or what I could improve. I just gotta say this. While I love the unique looks of many subs out there over this one, this is by far my favorite sub I have ever tried out. I am a new player and the way you build custom storage and rooms makes me want to learn how to make my own sub so badly. But until I get over the hurdle of electrical stuff I will keep going back to this ship over and over again

@Little Red Bastard, ok I just realized I have a labelling issue I need to fix that! Thank you for pointing that out. Gonna update now but yes that switch is the ballast switch which should be labeled ballast and not lights. The light component just above it needs to be illuminated yellow. It mirrors the switch in Engineering so turning one on/off turns the other on/off they don't have to "individually" be turned on. Let me know if that works

I went looking around and I couldnt find it, the only button I see is the one for the light switch in both of the compartments. Is it just labeled ballast or something?

@KuBi, its a logic flip. This is usually caused by docking at a precise point while the logic is active during its "run time" If that's the case, a quick solution is to hit the button and redock to try and flip it back. This may or may not work. (Make a back up of your save game before you try this)

If that doesn't work and you really want your save fixed, another option is to extract the sub file from your save file and open it in the editor and just delete the pump and make any other changes you want. This process is a bit lengthy but here is something that should help.

Sorry this messed up your playthrough I will get an update out in a few days to the workshop page to fix this so it won't happen in future playthroughs.

At some point of the campaign, the reactor fire extinguisher button was stuck, and the pump stayed on forever, effectively filling the reactor room with water forever. Is there some way to fix this mid campaign?

@Little Red Bastard, there are two points where a ballast can be turned on and off. Make sure its turned on at both ends.

There is a switch in the Bridge/Engineering (They are linked) it has a yellow light over it. If the light is off the ballast is off.

Also you have the ballast itself where if you click the ballast you have the flow rate and the big red power button.

My crew and I have been running the ship seamlessly up until recently. The ballast pump stops working after we get to the end of the second biome. I tried to jerry rig it and fix it, but nothing is working and I cant modify the main pump. It seems like im the only one with this issue. Any help?

I got a deck rework planned aswell I can't say when it will come out but the plan is to get rid of nukeshell room and just make that a door that leads to the armory.

Sorry I travel for work once I get home and get to my PC which will be in a week ill make a update to fix the railgun ladder and armory issue. As far as the docking hatch is concerned they can't reach it because it's too high. I might just set it to where AI just ignore the docking hatch for now

@ButterBro if you want, you can fix it in submarine editor. It's relatively simple. Just hit the generator and starts rearranging the waypoints since generator are STUPID.

Yeah I'll admit I've been having the same issues as Elite for the longest time. I've even seen them occasionally get stuck on the nuclear railgun storage door.

I love the ship, but AIs have really bad pathing. I made a quick fix in the submarine editor but I would love you to push out a official update on it.

AIs like to get stuck in the armoury and desperately try to get into the belly airlock, the part where you open the door, then close it. Then the hatch open.

They desperately try to open the door but can't.

If they go into the armoury, they just get stuck there. Sometime they fix the pathing themselves and actually manage to get onto the ladder. But most of the times, once in there. They're goner.

The upper docking hatch also have a bug that make the AIs can't reach it to repair it which then cause all the AIs on mechanical duty just stuck on a loop trying to get up the ladder to fix the hatch but they can't reaches it.

To Everyone: Just put out an update. Reworked Battery and Low Power Mode indicators. Their indicators are no longer on any screens. Their indicator lights are now on their respective buttons. Lights on various buttons across the sub have been made brighter.

@Mattikush, When click the trash chute you will see a deconstructor and a secure container window (You need to be Captain or have a Green/Red ID to see the secure container) and you drag items between the two windows. The deconstructor part is in Engineering and the sec container is outside the sub by the bottom air lock. When you find yourself outside the sub at some point you can open the sec container and then throw the stuff into the ocean. This works in reverse when looting a wreck you can place stuff in the sec container part under the air lock and the next time you're in Engineering you can pull it from the deconstructor. Saves time from running back and forth.

@Mattikush, Thank you! For the coilguns in upper gunnery, you should see a light switch on the wall under the small left sonar terminal. For the large gun in lower gunnery, you should see the light switch under the sonar terminal in that room.

@Azi_Dahaka12th, I prefer one big one. Cutting it in half would not be enough to prevent it from sinking. You would need to divide into like thirds or forths and at that point ask them if they want to have to fix 4 pumps and 3 new doors cause I wouldn't. Also current ballast pumprate is 2x over vanilla. So you have the power of 2 in one ballast tank.

can you help settle another debate my crew has? ballast, is it better to have one big one or multiple smaller ones? this sub only has one and they keep saying "what is only on part of it floods? wouldn't it be better to just cut it in half and have two?"

lol i can tell ballast from void space :P i was mostly wondering about the void space and if it was safe to remove, or making into something else like ..idk a small artifact holder (you need tw o on board for doctors exp bonus) and i use the one in the airlock for the mission (find artifact)

@Azi_Dahaka12th, that space across the rest of the sub is ballast. That small volume isnt really worth making into a 2nd ballast. I would have cut it but it would have messed with firing angles for only 4 guns also for this build I wanted a super simple looking shape.

ok so i have noticed a void space, one in the front under the nose and on back by the ballast, my crew has been arguing that you ether A need that void space for sub balance or B it just space you didnt know what to do with...can you please help me put this to rest?

ok after all the messing about i seem to have 2 issues, one is it possible to set the door to auto open if one ballast gets overwhelmed?(as in if there is a breach and pump A can not get it out fast enough the door opens to flood ballast B so pump B can help?)
second when i publish the sub (Friends only) it is no longer in my sub list, and when i subscribe to it, i dont see it in my mods list ether

@Azi_Dahaka12th, the power for the ballast goes from ballast to a relay. That relay runs to the grid and has a switch to control from the Bridge if I remember correctly. Just connect another power line from that first relay from the first ballast power in and add to the new ballast.

me again, been messing around and im trying to make some changes but i cant seem to get them to work, im trying to split the ballast (a door and another pump) and add a suit dock to medbay(the hallway between med and brig) but i cant for the life of me figure out your wiring and how to tap into it
