i've tried out the mutation and was immediately swarmed by common and special infected, but still alone

L4D2 Beta , where someone who cracked the game plays it for the first time , once he died in one of the lvls , suddenly bots and ai zombies disapeard , music was gone and all you could hear is ur own breath , you walk , run to look for anything but there was nothing , only weapons , healing stuff and some of the stuff you should do , was already done by someone , even tho you played Singleplayer.
But you still feel... being watched.

Ive unlocked multiplayer for the mutation. For those who used it alone and still want to run it as a singleplayer rather than a local server with no one on, all ya need to do is click "singleplayer" when the options drop down from the mutation tab. It is also worth noting that regardless if you play it alone or with people, survivor bots remain permanently disabled. So 2 friends, will be 2 friends.

what's the console command for this mutation? if you don't know why i ask, if you type map [mapname] there's also another argument you can put after it for a mutation.

....somebody already made something similiar to this. It's name was/is ghost town or something like that. Bruh.

Online mode?

I don't see the free roam mode on my mutation list after subscribing, where did I go wrong?

For all asking why I commonly take screenshots in third person, I have a mouse with two extra buttons. You can bind it to any key, but the command is thirdpersonshoulder and it is not a cheat command, so it can be used online and offline as long as its in Campaign mode.

"bind <KEY> thirdpersonshoulder" (I use MOUSE4 so I can quickly swap in and out of first and third person online. It can give you an advantage when swarmed by infected or make mellow moments cool by seeing how your survivor looks/is faring.)

It's just another method of the same goal. Some prefer menus with a lot of commands to let them do what they want. Some prefer to have a simple menu selection that does the job for you. No need to get snobby over which one you like best.

Why i would use this when i can just use admin system to disable infected which is way more convenient.

Its my "True CT Playermodels" addon.

I hope this item is better for not playing Last Man On Earth just like Garry's Mod Sandbox gamemode.

I really like this mutation. It really gives to the atmosphere of horror games where you're alone yet there's nothing to really fear since there's no inherent danger. It's also nice when you don't know how a campaign works and you can try it out to see how it'd go when you play it for real.
My only problem is that I've ran into a few custom campaigns that require you to kill a Tank to enable an escape or event. I know this mutation only took the official campaigns in mind but that was one thing that bugs me about this mod though. Other than that, great stuff man!

The one that got me was Dark Carnival. Every other place can feel normal to a degree empty (I grew up in a literal street empty suburb, no one out and id do shit alone) but... A carnival you'd expect to see happy children, families, and more. Everything is just quiet and trash is strewn about. Had that thought while in... Kiddie land, I just kinda stood and thought about it.

sometimes it's cool to simply enjoy the view, sometimes it's quite scary and brings anxiety or sadness because of the quietness, the loneliness and also kind of spooky music. A few times I even feel the zombies make the atmosphere less scary
