Would it be possible for you to make the spiders a playable class? Like a spider queen? That would be awesome :D

Those bunnies are overtuned to an insane degree. The fact that they always call for more, can mass heal every ally at the cost of a mere smidgen of HP and have 40 dodge on a level 1 mission just makes them an instant early run ender. There are plenty of challenging mods. This ain't one of them. This is just unbalanced.

I've killed the Spider Boss 5 times now on 5 seperate missions because it won't complete the quest. uninstalling it now

I can't say I recommend this mod. The doggies give a huge mission-permanent debuff that just straight-up feel unfair. A shame, because their mechanics and sprites are very high quality.

Cant recommend this mod if you doing dark run or any difficulty modifiers. Stuff is bullshit as is, plus the boss reminds me of some elder ring ball torture masochism. Still, work of love anyways even if unbalanced as fucc.

Rabbit's Foot is conflicting with the another trinket of the same name from very popular "101 Trinkets" mod. Change of the id helps, but I'm not sure if your trinket shown up in that case.

Also i know its a big tone shift but the black widow spider could use some help, i have no idea what they do because even at apprentice i either kill them through an aoe or rush them down purely for the sake of action economy; 9 speed at apprentice(scaling up later) or giving them higher dodge (20-30), (both options would probably be too big a buff) would help as right now they end up being free kills given how low their hp is for thematic reasons

Firstly, i do love most of what this mod has to offer, but the cute bunnies alone are too much at apprentice. 40 dodge for enemies that can show up randomly the first time you are in the weald (and therefore unlikely to have good accuracy trinkets to compensate) turns every character into leper and missing or doing 0 damage with a debuff (say, to lower dodge) resulting in stress not only for the attacking character but the whole party is too much and there is an enemy mash that is 4 of them in a group. 4 stress casting enemies with 40 dodge at apprentice makes me want to remove the mod despite all the other enemies that i like just to avoid having to abandon the run and throw away the party because they are too stressed and too low level to be worth keeping around. 20-25 dodge would be high but tolerable at that level and please, only 2 stress casters per enemy team.

Nice mod. I fight alredy a few of the new enemies and are pretty balance outside of the debuff dueing for the entire quest. Is posible to edit the debuff to last only 1 entire battle not the full quest????

Okay, I've just reinstalled this, and I'd like to report that the Spider Boss replay mission loading screen and hint are both missing, and the King Rabbit's transformation ability is missing a localization name, and doesn't actually transform the rabbit.

Problem with the spider queen fight, even though her attack missed it still blighted my harlot.
She doesn't have any diseases that would cause this either.

I'm also having the missing boss issue for the Spider Queen, though I have a heavily modded save, so I'm not really sure what it might be. Then again, if it's happening on a fresh save and those edits fixed it, maybe those parameters are wrong/bugged?

thank you for your respond. I have activated the Mod right after I finished Old Road Mission. I found now I way to fix it for me. I changed "is_progression": to false AND "is_started_by_event": to true. After that I let the "Slay the Spider Queen" roll again and now I have the boss fight mission.

Without that workaround the Boss Quest is not starting for me, even with only this mod installed. I tested it on a fresh vanilla save with only this mod enabled, and there I also got only the town event but not the boss mission.

For the issue, that seem odd, but there can be many possible issue to it, and hard to say what it might be. (since not see much other report of the the missing boss here in chat). Could possible an issue if you add the mod mid way in game. But I will keep an eye out for it, and see if happen to me on future runs.

Thanks for your great mod! I l really like the monsters. The atmosphere of the mod is really nice, making the Weald a creepy place :).

I wanted to ask just when the Spider Queen will appear? I got the notification that I should now "kill the Spider Queen" but there is no Spider Queen Quest yet for me. I am already at Dungeon Level 4. I also use Kraken Mod and there I have the "Kill the Kraken" Quest.

I feel like the weald rabbits are OP. The infinite respawn seems broken especially with some of them having 30 dodge at lvl 1 dungeons.

I take back my comments below. Turned out the boss I was facing was part of another mod I'm using. I'm not sure what happened but it seems said boss "merged" with the one from this mod. As in, the lvl 1 quest was supposed to be your boss judging by the description and loading menu but instead it ended up being the other mod's boss who is intended to be a lvl 2 quest boss. So yeah, sorry about the confusion.

Made another attempt on the boss which went much better since this time she didn't have that obnoxious riposte on her for some reason. Unfortunately there's another issue. After killing the boss the quest goal didn't update so now it says I have to abandon the quest. Not sure if it's relevant but there were still two spiders alive when the boss died that I had to kill as well to finish the fight.

I think you went a little overboard with the boss here. The Broodmother has high resistance to everything, keeps spawning spiders with high speed, has high speed herself, two actions per turn, buffs all spiders, reflects damage, has a riposte which can stun as well as debuff, can stun and debuff two heroes at once, causes bleeding and blight in one attack, regenerates health, fully heals herself the first time her health drops to 0 and is immune to damage for a few turns afterwards while spawning and healing spiders and you get the picture.

Simply put, she does too much and has no weaknesses to take advantage of due to having between 80 and 120 resistance to everything. Best you can do is mark her, focus all attacks on her during her second phase and hope you don't get stunned in the process. Heroes that can't consistently target the backrow are pretty much useless since they can only kill spiders which will be replaced by new ones right away.

Glad to see that you are back! Used to play with your enemy mods back when I just started playing the game after the Butcher's Circus came out. Looking through the other 3 mods for the differing regions, I see that people may have some concerns with the balancing of enemies. (such as the swine enemy with permanent repose and high health). Are you planning to go back and balance out / update some of your previous mods, or have any plans on creating compatibility with other mods from differing creators (such as this mod with dem22's spider nest mod)?

Ooh exciting to have new content from you. I hope will consider adding to your Spiders monster type "spiders" to your new ones so the trinkets and quirks from Spider Nests Mod will gain the benefits vs. your spiders. Hope you do more.

Greetings fellow biped,

During the apprentice queen spider boss run, I encountered what I think is hilarious. The room directly below the dungeon entrance has a room battle that contains three mushrooms and a bandit gunner in 4th position. These mushrooms have active riposte and the "Shrooming" skill. Shrooming allows each mushroom to forfeit its turn to another mob on the enemy team.

What I imagine the intended fight dynamic was for each mushroom was to using Shrooming and give the bandit gunner essentially four turns of suppressing fire.

However, being the professional gamer that I am, I blasted the bandit to a different dimension. That was my first and last mistake I would ever make. Not even Pandora's box had this Eldritch horror lurking inside it.

These filthy mushies made the ultimate read and did the one thing no one ever could have fathomed. They used Shrooming on EACH OTHER. I watched in horror as these losers gave each other turn after turn with no intentions of slowing down for 15 whole minutes.

They won the game. I'm sorry Ancestor, I've failed you. I've literally just been felled by some mycelium and a dream. There's nothing I can do to escape this cursed nightmare, this orange-saturated limbo. This wasn't how I expected to go out like; no glorious last stand, no triumphant victory; just, SHROOMING.

I guess I should've written my own letter to my descendants begging for them to come home. Take heed of my failure; the real boss fight wasn't the tentacle monster in the basement of the manor, it was nature.

@Grandalf: I believe is it due to the fact that this mod change the dungeon mesh file, so if you happen to be in middle of a weald mission, it would force you to restart. sorry about that. (also too many mods would have issues too)

Grandalf, its not this mod. i ran into similar issues with my playthrough some days ago. Your mod list is too huge now. taking away mods from a playthrough midgame is never a good idea->>CTD

I think this might be the mod crashing my game, I have a pretty big list so I could be wrong, but after installing this my save wont load without crashing the game. I exited out of the game after camping before a boss fight in the weald last night thinking I could get back into the game today, but now trying to load my mid-mission save the game crashes. I don't really imagine any other mods being the cause of it because they all worked together prior to now. I might just be dumb but any help would be appreciated.

Any chance you'll make tweaks to previous mods, I noticed you did some for Army of Bones, and House of Piggies and Kraken both have their own problems you can see in their respective comment sections.

With that all that being said, great job, and welcome back, this is another really interesting addition to things would be a nice change of pace since I haven't really chosen any monster mods for Weald.
