Sorry, I'm no longer active on VT2 and modding it, so my mods are no longer supported until/unless I return to the game
I'm curious also, is it because the client users die when they go through a death wall and not the host? If yes, I can try to fix that!
If you want to take 3rd person pictures, I'd advice you to use UI Tweaks as it as an option to hide UI while inspecting hero (aka 3rd person).

- Weird 3rd person bugs that appeared with the new update 4.4.2
- Flight movement tweaked. It should feel more responsive.
- For going up, press space bar and for going down, press crouch. It should work for whatever space and crouch option you're using (jump only, toggling crouch, etc).
- New widget UI implemented which replace the chat sentence indicator if flight mode was ON or OFF. You can optionally display the flight speed. The whole widget UI can be tweaked in the mod options (F4).
I made a mistake in my last post, sorry, the bind to go down in fly(crouch) worked fine (I use the toggle version of crouch) I was just pressing the wrong key like an idiot.
However, the bind to go up in fly (jump) still didnt work though I use the "jump_only" version. It's likely that the multiple redundant binds you pointed out just need to be touched up for a quick solution.
I'll take a look on the down/up bug. It's working on my AZERTY setup, might be about other keybindings (there are crouch/crouching for the crouch action and jump_1/jump_2/jump_only for jumping in general so there might be hope to fix this really quick).
I agree with the movement system, it actually feel like driving a 50t train in the thin air. I'll make some test sessions to adjust values and make it more responsive.
The bug being that crouch/space don't move you down/up, respectively, as outlined. But I don't think thats a huge issue considering you can just look up and down and go from there so while it might be a problem it's not really such an issue that it needs to be fixed.
The quirk being that changing directions on a dime produces kindve like a sliding effect. Its like the feeling of slamming your break and trying to go in reverse really quickly (inertia/momentum whatever you want to call it). Not sure if this was present in other fly mods since we probably couldn't notice it being in third person but it is noticeable on the default/slower speeds. Though this isnt a deal breaker in any sense as you can just set the speed faster and circumvent this issue and shave off most of that sliding feeling.
- Keyboard layout is now based on your keybindings, i.e no more keyboard layout presets, pure automatic recognition. It uses forward, backward, left, right, crouch and space keys. The two lasts are used for going down and up while in flight.
- Widget system no more deprecated. You'll no longer see the warning at launch.
- "yes" loop displays in the chat

- No more 1st view camera without 1st view model (arms and weapons sometimes disappear)
