Would love to have Game Rules added for this so we can customize which features we'd like. I like the ability to ransom family members, but the other two are a bit much for me.

Would it be possible to extend the marriage functionality of this mod to include all unmarried and eligible members of your dynasty/house? As it is, this mod does not seem to include great-grandchildren, which while perhaps rare to see, are a distinct possibility, especially once you've stacked positive congenital traits and dynasty unlocks. In my current game my character is in his 80s, and has many great-grand children of marrying age who are not considered by this mod. Currently, I find and arrange marriages for them by using the Character Search tool and filtering for unmarried adults of my dynasty every few months.

My child just imprisoned by a vassal after committing a crime, and I can't seem to ransom him out!

Sorry everyone, for some reason Steam didn’t notify me of new comments anymore, so I wasn’t aware of the bug until now. I checked it and included @Sacred Chaos’s fix, which is the correct one.
Please let me know if anything doesn’t work as expected; I had some issues with the Paradox launcher, so I hope everything uploaded correctly.

This mod only aims to fix some QoL issues with notifications and such. I will not change any mechanics like being able to interact with people not at your court in ways the vanilla game does not intend, which I think is what you’re asking for.
If I find some time (unlikely in the near future), I could possibly implement something to notify you of family members that are not at your court, but you would have to invite them to court in order to interact with them.

It's actually very easy to fix the "Educate Child" bug. Just go into the mod's files, open "pc_extended_family_actions.txt" and change line 47 from "recipient = scope:recipient" to "recipient = scope:actor"

Cant confirm that it breaks the window for selecting a guardian for a child. The child pops on the right side but the list of possible guardians is empty so you need to click Educate Child then replace the randomly assigned person with the one you want. Unnecessary steps so disable it for now for Royal Court.

It seems to break the "educate child" feature if done from your notification. It still works as a regular character interaction.

can you make for family members that wander out of range?
I got 2 members that aren't reachable so i cannot marry them for alliances or anything.

I probably won’t remove any part of my mod, but I can check what the problem is and if there is an easy fix to use both mods together.

I tried to bail out a my brother-in-law out of jail but the mod didn't work. I guess this only includes family members of your own blood? Maybe you should remove that part so we can use the mod that allows you to bail anyone out?

I’ll look into it, but I’m not sure it’s possible. There are checks for close and extended family, but everything more than two generations off is out of that scope. But maybe I’ll find a way.

Everything still looks as it should on v1.4 on my end. If the launcher complains about the mod not being compatible with the current version, you have for some reason an old version of the mod installed.

I won’t leave it in so it works well with other mods, but not with the base game. But you can download v0.2 from https://gitlab.com/petecrighton-ck3-mods/extended-family-actions/-/releases or manually delete line 146 in common/important_actions/pc_extended_family_actions.txt (liege = root) from the current v0.2.1 in order to revert the change (but it will be overwritten whenever I update this mod and you are still subscribed).

I have the "bail out anyone" mod, which makes it so you can ransom those extended family members - so it is actually a nice feature to have :)

It should be fixed now. I had got the conditions for the important action appearing wrong. It will now only come up if the imprisoned family member’s liege is yourself. I believe that is the only time you are actually able to pay ransom for someone, so only for your vassals and courtiers.

But again, I don't see why it's there, since I can't do anything with it?
For example, I, playing Spain, am right now notified that my landed cousin's (who is a count in West Francia) sister (who is married to an unlanded guy in Burgundy) is imprisoned. When I try to ransom, I get the grayed out button and "This interaction is no longer valid to send"

@RepealThe19th Thanks for the report! After investigating, this only seems to affect landed family members and their offspring (or possibly other family members at their court). Can you confirm that? I’ll look into it and push a fix soon.

Not sure what the point of the extended imprisonment notification is, since 99% of the time, it says "This interaction is no longer valid to send" and I can't get the family member out

Not a complaint, since it's very minor, just a thing I noticed.

Since with the bug they don't auto marry, your mod helps to alleviate the situation a bit.

I guess this will probably help a bit, with the current family members bug, by letting you know who is still unmarried.
