hello I figure how to somewhat make my own unit for rome2 using the sh*tty pfm program. My question how do i add "looks" like could i use the assembly kit for the what i want then paste that into the unit i have? and if so how do i do so?

Hey.
Is it just me, or are the Arverni sword nobles extremely overpowered? :D
I dont mind it. But they are too cheap if that's the case. Make them the most expensive and advanced unit or at least a little more expensive. Cause they're really slaughtering units that cost at least 500 more.

Thanks man, downloading this now. Been waiting for something like this. Kinda felt like these factions were a bit lacking. Any chance you'll be willing to unlock the Steppe Archers and units like that as well? I mean, those units are already in the factions, but you can only get them as Garrisons which kinda annoy me.

but how do i recruit infantry in campaign as nomads and now game has crashed few times and when u have no techologies being researched. a message will appear and will say are you sure you want to end yurn or something like that.

if u dont want to end turn just yet u cant clikc on the cross to say no only tick box appears

i downloaded this mod for the main campaign its to get extra infantry units for nomad tribes but dunno how to make them recruitable from my military buildings instead of just garrisson troops

Musashi a legend among swordsmen of Japan it is said was killed by a man with a bo ( a fighting stick without a blade ) .I won't go into Jap history but a man who killed hundreds of people with the Katana was killed by a stick.So what would be the advantage of the man with the stick? Superior skill.I wouldn't underestimate the spear against the sword,there were more ancient warriors who used the spear than the sword.I wouldn't worry about balance to the point that it gives artificial arbitrary weaknesses to great warriors.All facts and real world arguments aside, i like Mrmarko's work,i realise this is fantasy wargamming and i thank him for his' excellent work.Now how about elite Roman Germannic cavalry?

i disagree with siracene spears defence needing to be higher while i agree with ur point, i do know martial arts as well, particularly ken jitsu, while being different then massagetae combat, a guy with a spear for defence isnt great for armor if the only thing he has is a bloody spear lol, what good is a spear when ur 2 ft up to a guy with a sword and shield? i know this games combat is never gunna be accurate but come on its good balancing

jamespmullin - You are forgetting that this game isn't a martial arts simulator, making units with very high armour attack & melee defence isn't balanced & makes the rest of the units pointless.

Compared to other spear units it has very high attack, to ensure balance a price has to be paid somewhere in the unit stats - as they are designed to be used as heavy flankers against cavalry (or non-elite infantry) it seemed the best design the choice.

You have some of my favorite units. In general the people creating heavy shock cav units seem to give the heavily armored cavalry ridiculously weak defense stats,like berserkers,these guys were probably elite units that are tough whether attacking or defending. In advanced fighting Ying and Yang,defense and attack,passive and aggressive energy and motion, meld and become the same.A good warrior is not at a disadvantage attacking or defending.

I am a black belt in a budo style of combat martial arts,i have trained with huge battleaxes,katanas,doublehanded swords,the bo,sai,knife,projectiles and of course modern weapons.I only tell you this because i know that excellent fighting skill with a two handed axe,sword or polearm can sometimes be better than a one handed weapon and a shield ( except when up against projectiles ) If the wielder of the two handed weapon is heavily armored ( like a gothic knight ) the shield doesn't necessarily add more defense.The two handed weapon also strikes more accurately and with twice the muscle power,more momentum and usually greater mass.Thanks for the education. PS request....Really powerful berserkers with high defense stats due to fighting SKILL. Jimmy

jamespmullin - Jesus wept.

As you are utterly wrong on the entire post perhaps you could do with a little education.

1. They have low defence because THEY DONT HAVE A SHIELD.
2. Being well armoured means they have HIGH ARMOUR (which they do), not that they have high melee defence.
3. They have significantly higher melee attack than the average - this is a result of them not having a shield.

KrizCore - This is due to them being balanced roughly around Radious mod, I'll have a look over them & see if any are particulary lacking & adjust accordingly - thanks for the feedback.

The siracene spears' defense is only 22? PS someone has to up the defenses on cataphracts,way too low.They used maces,swords and axes,they were very well armored and the low defenses like 20 are moronic.Heavy cavalry were not wimpy warriors in melee.
