Oh man I've been looking for this! I want my colonists to make jams! I hope it updates someday!
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 15. feb. 2023 kl. 14:43
Yeah sorry i havent updated it @darocoth the ideas there i just can't be fucked ahaha
darocoth 15. feb. 2023 kl. 8:54
I think this mod is great for medieval playthroughs. Shockingly, the big medieval mods don't let you preserve berries!
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2022 kl. 17:22
yes i know i just havent updated it cause im busy. All in all i would like to ask if this is a good addition or not. Provided it was more balanced.
thegriffin88 29. dec. 2022 kl. 8:50
This would be fine if it didn't take 200 ingredients. That takes forever and gets pawns stuck in a ridicoulous way.
Senilia 15. dec. 2022 kl. 0:25
1.4?
Doomchibi 22. okt. 2022 kl. 10:02
Will this get an update for 1.4? Thank you!
Dungeon Matser 3. mar. 2022 kl. 8:12
600 apples=1 jammy
Yuuka 20. jan. 2022 kl. 19:31
not balanced.I installed Vanilla Plants Expanded and Jammy.nutrition of 20x Jammy is 1.but it needs 30 times nutrition of berry. 20x jammy spent my 30 days even more but it's
Just enough for one meal:steamsad:

Sunlight88 3. jan. 2022 kl. 2:31
Nice, thanks!
Fae 29. dec. 2021 kl. 13:43
Oh well alright then! Good to know! lol
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2021 kl. 13:34
It shouldn’t be fucked
Fae 29. dec. 2021 kl. 13:10
Oh I was just putting it on my list to noticed it apparently update today. May I inquire what the changes were? Also gotta say jam really is such a perfect addition.
Sunlight88 29. dec. 2021 kl. 7:20
Hey SalmonToastie, can you please update to 1.3? :-}
Kayedon 8. okt. 2021 kl. 17:38
:Gifting:
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2021 kl. 20:46
Cheers cobber
Kayedon 12. sep. 2021 kl. 11:40
@SalmonToastie: Test without <ingredientValueGetterClass>IngredientValueGetter_Nutrition</ingredientValueGetterClass>. Should change it from "30 nutrition worth" to "30" berries for the base jam recipe.

Or may not, idk, not gonna test. :P
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2021 kl. 19:33
oh lol
Nirty 3. sep. 2021 kl. 13:36
I dont think so. In the description it says 120 fruits for 80 jam, but if i select details it says 120 nutrition in fruit which is 2400 fruits
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2021 kl. 7:45
Yeah thats the normal amount lmao.
Nirty 3. sep. 2021 kl. 6:45
yes, works fine. Only the amount of ingredients is about10 times what it should be
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2021 kl. 17:20
That’s because I haven’t touched the balance yet.... Glad it works in 1.3 tho, recipes are crafting fine?
Nirty 2. sep. 2021 kl. 16:03
atm in 1.3 it works, but for 80 jam (4x recipe) you need 120 nutrition in fruit. It should be pieces i think
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 30. aug. 2021 kl. 23:10
I think it should work for 1.3 it ain't that complicated of a mod.
Lark 30. aug. 2021 kl. 19:26
Gonna keep a favorite on this cus this looks like a good mod
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. 2021 kl. 8:35
Yeah i'm getting there mate
Flixbox 14. aug. 2021 kl. 12:58
I'm thinking about implementing a patch for Jammy in a mod that I'm developing right now, but for that a tag update for 1.3 would be quite helpful (since I'd be linking people here). Is that possible in the near future? Thanks :lunar2019piginablanket:
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 2. aug. 2021 kl. 3:48
Yeah. I didn't see many issues pop up when i loaded into 1.3. All it needs is a copy paste and a tag update.

As for diabetes, i fucking hate the health system so i have it disabled permanently.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
linkovich 1. aug. 2021 kl. 9:29
Also increased the work time slightly (800/3200), so that this works as a great alternative to pemmican in ideologies that don't like butchering. It winds up working out to have upsides (no meat required, slightly more valuable than pemmican), and relevant downsides (requires sugar supply, longer worktimes).

I haven't figured out how yet but I'd also like to figure out how to have it contribute to diabetes from VCE, if it doesn't already

Also it works fine on 1.3, I think it just needs a 1.3 folder? I don't really know how that works as I'm not an experienced modder.
linkovich 1. aug. 2021 kl. 9:29
I tried my best to balance everything out but at the very least I fixed the quantity issues, here are my suggestions:
- Change count for the 1x recipe for rawberries to 0.5, this makes it 10 berries
- Count for sugar can stay at 10
- For the 4x recipe berries can be 2.0, so 40 berries and 40 sugar
- I increased the nutrition to 4x pemmican and reduced the amount the recipe produces to compensate (this is just my personal preference, it makes no difference balance-wise), but the numbers are: 4 jars for the 1x recipe, 16 for the 4x recipe, nutrition is 0.2
- Increased the mass to 0.4 and the market value to 5.2 to compensate for reduced output
SucháVoda 31. juli 2021 kl. 13:45
Don't thank me, you are the one who made the mod for the community. I just gave you my opinion. And sorry for bothering.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 30. juli 2021 kl. 16:44
Thank you
SucháVoda 30. juli 2021 kl. 0:03
I know that you have a loads of them. I just want to give you my idea of the meal.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 29. juli 2021 kl. 22:16
Yes thanks I’ve had loads of comments already and have said I will into balancing eventually. If people can assist it working out some math then I’ll gladly follow it.

Jam is a straight copy of pemmican nutrition value.
SucháVoda 29. juli 2021 kl. 6:01
I think that the jam should have more total nutrition than the fruit, but less than the sugar and the fruit combined. So if it did cost like 40 sugar and 40 fruit (just an example), the amount of jams would be like 70-75 (almost the same as total combined, so it's worth it and also pretty realistic)
qux 29. juli 2021 kl. 2:51
@SalmonToasti, hmm I see you're right, andwhy not make it a condiment ?
Enfants👦 24. juli 2021 kl. 18:10
Haiya, don't put it into my egg fried rice:lunar2019deadpanpig:
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 21. juli 2021 kl. 8:06
Before anyone else asks!

I will be updating to 1.3 after a couple weeks pass to allow the game and other mods to figure their selves out.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 20. juli 2021 kl. 4:48
So them being in veg is akin to salted meat.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 20. juli 2021 kl. 4:47
Meals make 0 sense and jam mixes with alot of meat for food.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 20. juli 2021 kl. 4:47
Thats the idea.
qux 20. juli 2021 kl. 4:18
thanks, maybe also put the jammy in ''meals'' and not vegetables because my pawns use jammy to make simple meals..
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2021 kl. 18:05
Yeah like i said, i will be working on balance. I will happily accept opinions from everyone else.
qux 19. juli 2021 kl. 8:24
ok in fact it was working normally it's just too much fruit are needed to make a poor jar of jam, I changed the balance and it's good now
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2021 kl. 7:12
Yeah i know balance is bad, with 1.3 coming i will do some updates. I have no idea with these problems, i have 0 of them my side.
Sumatris 19. juli 2021 kl. 7:10
I'm having the same problem, and it persists even after I put your mod dead last in my load order. It did work once, when my cook returned from the fields with her inventory full of sugar... but there she turned more than 1,500 peaches (that's 30 trees' worth of fruit) into 20 units of jam, which makes no sense either.
SalmonToastie  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2021 kl. 0:25
Not sure what the problem is then, other people havent been loading it in the order correctly and i only managed to recreate it by loading jammy above vce and vpe or not having either of them loaded all together.
qux 15. juli 2021 kl. 20:33
yes and I have harvested sugar from VCE
