i wonder if someone will make the ordinal a metrocop with a manhack on its back like they have in hl2 sometimes

so you can have familiar enemies from hl2. might not entirely make sense lore-wise why cops are in the QZ but who cares :>

unfortunately, I can´t play the mod, because when I activate it in the addons-manager, it doesn´t show up at the addon-card-chooser. Why? What can I do? Can someone help?

Thanks man! Its extremely thrilling and nostalgic! You'll be fighting metrocops and even original combine soldiers in the upcoming Anti-Citizen mod im project lead on, release TBD.

This goes really well with the combine soldier ordinal swap, tried both on with some audio mods on the city17 escape maps and merciless combine and it was cool as shit n thrilling. So thanks for playing a part in one of the coolest HLA experiences I have had.

@paradox That's what I thought at first about those new CP lines, and I'm glad you used the HL2 ones. However, I also didn't like the grunt lines at first, but they have grown on me a lot.

have you considered using the unused CP lines included in HL:A? I love the nostalgia of the HL2 CP dialogue, but I'd be curios to hear Valve's new recorded dialogue found under sounds\npc\metropolice\vo\metropolice_(various file names).vsnd_c.

@Zero creating a new NPC would have to be done in the addon itself. Upcoming mods such as the Goldeneye: Runway project and Anti-Citizen will feature custom NPCs because they are built into the addons themselves. It requires a lot of scripting if you wanted to try and add them to the base game.

(Unless you guys are cool with that, I'd just add you as contributors or literally give it to you to upload. Would be really useful for people trying to make entire mods.. perhaps featuring a gasmasked man of their own and having the OG title of grunt tee hee)

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I'm just wondering if you can make a standalone version that still uses the same AI and everything but a different NPC namepath, same with your OTA, maybe just edit their health or other minor things. I would look into it myself but I don't wanna rip your upload since obviously it had to be rigged and other things.

Do you do the replacement of the grunt intentionally, or is there a way to add new NPCs? I would desperately like to have Metrocops as a new entity. Thanks for taking the time to read this. (please help lol)

I can't seem to rechange the smg back to the pulse smg grunts use. is there a way to fix this?

@DerpyVR these guys work on any map. Not sure why it isn't working for you. The HEV Suit Hands require extra installation steps which I left instructions on how to do install in the addon description. You might have an issue with your HL:A itself.

And i forgot to add. this happens with a few other addons such as HEV Suit Hands, USP Match and look Gordon ropes!, all of these will not load if loaded into a map. but i would only like to get this amazing addon to function

Yes. when i enable this addon it will not load a map ive tried many of my modded maps as well
and i have looked at my other addons to see if they are interfering and they are not

Only thing that would make this addon perfect is adding some metrocop voicelines from HLA. Though it's probably true that there aren't many so you had to use the HL2 ones? Still great work

@wim.buytaert.1988 Appreciate the offer but I don't know how to script. This is simply just model and audio swapping. Although this still took a long time to create, it is nowhere near the scripting aspects of other peoples mods.

@Kat sounds fun, but that's not my field of expertise. I also am working on a pretty big project at the moment so taking on a big task like that is a distraction I would like to avoid. Not impossible, but it would require a lot of thought and effort similar to the metros. Appreciate all of the ideas though.

@paradox I got an idea, the workshop is rlly lacking in good weapon mods, what about the ordinal rifle replacing the pulse smg? Would make sense lore and gameplay-wise, probably still a lot of work though

@Leojrenrek They'd have to be completely redone as to not fuck you over gameplay wise, similar to what happened to the antlions. Also, that sounds like the work of triple A developers not modders... lol

I have a question, is this done with bonemerging or whatever its called, or is it an actual custom NPC? Cause I remember jerry-rigging some crappy metrocops with bonemerging and logic and stuff a few months ago, but if you guys have figured out how to do legit custom NPCs like I assumed this is, that's cool as hell and like I said I might have to get back into the workshop tools just to mess around with it.
