Seems broken, unable to place as "too short" error

Wonderful, looks fantastic in my city...

Amazing! But for the sake of authenticity, is there a way to cancel 1/4 passenger services passing through? :-)

Brilliant asset, i love using this in my cities, especially in highly populated suburban areas

i am beyond delighted that you included Felix <3

@rkent72 it's how the real life station is laid out. It only has a single platform at the back. I tried using a single lane track to represent it but the asset wouldn't work so had to use the default train track.

Fantastic asset, but I'm confused by the platform at the back of the station. It's extremely narrow and there's no obvious way for passengers to get on or off it.
Arnomrnym 30 Mar, 2022 @ 10:52am
Worked now. ;-)
Arnomrnym 22 Mar, 2022 @ 9:33am
I think I did. There was a window popping up with all the requirements. But I can try it again.
squirrelarmyuk  [author] 21 Mar, 2022 @ 2:22pm
Do you have all of the required props and assets? The Bypass tracks are essential for this asset to load. The others are optional.
Arnomrnym 20 Mar, 2022 @ 10:01am
Thats all I know about it from the Compatibility report. Sorry. It Says: No more Details.
squirrelarmyuk  [author] 20 Mar, 2022 @ 8:50am
Any further details? It's still working in my game.
Arnomrnym 20 Mar, 2022 @ 7:02am
fail to load! :-(

@Engineer Gaming, are you using any mods and subscribed to the required items? Distance too short refers to a pathing error. The station needs the Bypass Station Tracks in order to function. Without that asset the station won't work. Fine Road Anarchy will also help with any pathing issues that may be present. It's one of the most essential mods on the workshop so worth subscribing to if you don't already.

Great asset. Thanks

Love the fact you even added the cat.

Lime Street has potential. The station front is only just slightly wider than the maximum asset size. A little bit of overhang to either side isn't a problem. The station platforms and roof would extend beyond the footprint limit but should hopefully be functional, I'd have to do a test first.

I had a look at the Manchester stations and they are complicated. Out of the two I'd possibly attempt Piccadilly. It's a similar scale to Lime Street but it has a much more complicated multi-level station front which could cause issues. I can see why these buildings haven't been created in the game.

I like the look of Newcastle Station, it has the classic Victorian front which is about the right size for the asset editor and unique for the game it has curved platforms. it also has the bonus of having a Metro station which makes it practical for the game.

Great station; used to use it often when commuting between Liverpool and Leeds. It has to have the best "Head of Steam" too.

Hebden Bridge station or any other on the Calder Line for that matter might be a good one to complement this!

Leeds Station would be a gargantuan task in its present form... especially once Platform 0 is added! I'd be biased with looking out for Lime Street but again, that's a tricky station to create.

Great work on this!

Ace! I do love the Northern stations and I honestly think it's an underrepresented region in this game so anything is brill.

I also really want to reference the Cabbage song 'A Network Betrayal' here so, 'I don’t have time to be hanging around Huddersfield station’s lovely little café. I’m on this train because I’ve got actual places to be!'

@Toyken I don't care about receiving money for asset creation, I just do it for fun and to improve my modelling skills. I'm going to have a look to see what it would take to produce some of the other mainline stations. Personally I'd love to create Leeds Station as it's my home city but that is an incredibly complex building and to be honest nowhere near as good looking as some of the others already mentioned.

@youngbob Huddersfield is one of those towns that has struggled in recent years economically. This station is a reminder of when the town was a key location in the industrial north.

Fun Fact: last time i check huddersfield is/was the 2nd worst place to line in the UK

I've been in UK plenty of times, and also wish there was more train stations to use. Manchester Victoria is one of my favorites. I understand its limited of space, and I tried myself to make som assets. Maybe you should create a Patreon where people can pay you small amount monthly to back up your lovely work? :) Just a tips!

I'm thinking about doing some more of the Transpennine Stations. Huddersfield fits nicely within the maximum buildable area in the asset editor. Some of the others like York, Leeds and the Manchester stations would need to be made up of multiple sub buildings.

Not impossible to do but they would be sizeable assets in the game. If the demand for them is there I can certainly look into making them.

I also would have loved Manchester Victoria. I will try out Huddersfield Train Station tonight.

Ooh lovely! Any plans for further UK stations? Manchester Victoria or Piccadilly perhaps? (It'll be nice to have a tram/train hub)
