@sunny_immortal: I posted my suspicions under the Warlock mod. Those suspicions would be the same for the Muton Destroyer.
sunnyy_Immortal 27. mar. kl. 7:20
Added this mod mid campaign LWOTC. Have played over 10 tactical encounters since adding but haven't seen a single one of these guys. Force lvl:11. I also added A Requiem For Man: The Requiem Legion, when i added this and I've seen enemies for this other mod almost every mission. Any chance there is a conflict of any kind? or change needed to have these guys spawn?
Mungojerrie 6. apr. 2024 kl. 6:47
So far I only fought these guys a couple of times, but I really liked your general approach to what these enemies are. Certainly not a pushover but also not a powerhouse with stupid amounts of armor, accuracy and HP. They are menacing but also quirky, and the clumsiness "ability" is fun as heck!

Hi @Ashlynne_Lee I was wondering if you know how to modify so that it can use voicepacks? I want to configure this muton to use the Roadhog character voice in my Overwatch voicepack. Thanks!

Thank you very much for your details information!

I like the Ceri Hairstyle, but I don't remember which Mod it's in off the top of my head! It looks real nice paired with a head piece like the Ballistic Goggles. I set my soldiers to Happy-Go-Lucky attitude so they smile! :steamhappy:
HIMN 1. juni 2023 kl. 22:42
Cool mod!

Could you please tell me the cosmetic mod (hair, face) you are using on your soldier? They look quite nice!
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 6. apr. 2023 kl. 13:51
@Zin: I can't say with 100% certainty without looking at the Harrier code, but I will say I'd be extremely shocked if they were not compatible! Like, in pure disbelief kind of shocked. :steamhappy:

Hi Ashlynn, sorry for the quick off-topic, sent you a DM. Have a nice day! Love your enemy mods!
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 22. jan. 2022 kl. 12:48
@Dark: Yes, those tool-tips are programmatically generated based on configuration settings so the player will see the correct immunity information. It was mostly an experiment to see 'what could be done' with tool-tips.

I'm pretty sure I could pass in localization variables to the script to make that functionality follow best practices. That would, of course, require an update.

Thanks!
Dark 22. jan. 2022 kl. 8:56
And for Ability_AshDestroyerArmorXCom...
Dark 22. jan. 2022 kl. 8:07
@Ashlynne_Lee Description for Ability_AshDestroyerArmorAlien cannot be localized, because it hardcoded.
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2021 kl. 8:11
@Deadput: Hey, yeah that should be fine since you mention the cosmetic mods will require the base mods as dependencies (Muton Destroyer/ADVENT Warlock).

That way I can continue to manage the gameplay code in one place. :steamhappy:
Deadput 22. dec. 2021 kl. 19:45
By any chance as long as I put credit in the description would you be alright if I publicized a mod that gave the Muton Destroyer and the Advent Warlock distinct unit models in order to make them standout?

Just for cases where users would be using many different enemy mods and might lose track of which unit is which, would be cosmetic only and not effect gameplay as well as require the original mods of course.
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 6. dec. 2021 kl. 16:25
@Delirium: If I'm following you correctly, this sounds like a UI issue. This mod doesn't alter any UI files, it simply uses the base file. I'll have a look, but the scenario you described is such a corner case it might be some kind of base bug. :steamsad:
Delirium 25. nov. 2021 kl. 18:03
Nevermind the button is not there, but I could simply hit space to proceed. Did reproduce the problem 3/4 times in a roll though.
Delirium 25. nov. 2021 kl. 17:49
I don't have a "done" button after muton destroyer autopsy, make me not able to go back to the ship. Have to alt-f4.
This is a research done after make instant by another autopsy, and by pausing another research. Not sure if it is this mod that does this, will try to look for command code to bypass.

Since the last Dev update of LWOTC, I haven't seen any of these spawned. I'm at force level 11.

Hey Kexx,

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it. :steamhappy:

One of my design goals is to make the player eventually forget that my aliens are Mods. Even though they have unique abilities; I want them to look, behave, and provide rewards just like a base game alien. This includes all of the window dressing such as lore text, ability flyovers, ability icons when mind-controlled, slide-in buff/debuff banners, etc. Sounds like I'm hitting somewhere near the goal!

I'm glad you're enjoying my alien mods and hope they continue to have a spot in your future campaigns!

P.S. If you haven't tried a Destroyer Vest on a Ranger/Templar and killed a Black ICE Codex with a melee strike yet, give it a try... prolly one of my favorite things to do. :steammocking:
Kexx 8. sep. 2021 kl. 17:11
Been using this one for a few campaigns now, and I just want to compliment you on your amazing work. Not only these mutons, but in general, I find your approach to enemy gameplay design to be some of the very best in the entire workshop! Flame Vipers, Black ICE Codices, and Advent Warlocks have also been a staple in my campaigns, and I love them all. They have interesting mechanics with buffs and debuffs, rather than just bullet sponges. They also have nice, balanced, not too OP equipment from their research. All around fantastic.

The biggest praise I can give your enemies is that to me, they don't suffer from the "Hey, look at me!! I am now the biggest threat in this game!" syndrome. Lots of enemy mods out there seem to want to be the "it girl", while completely disregarding any sense of balance. This doesn't happen here with yours, and I really appreciate that!! Thanks so much for making all of these cool enemy mods! Looking forward to your next ideas!
4rrakis 13. juli 2021 kl. 1:09
Most of your other enemy mods are in there as well, only the black ice codex is missing as far as I know.
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 12. juli 2021 kl. 23:00
Very Cool! I never knew that Mod Jam was out there.

Thanks for the inclusion in it! :steamhappy:
Kiruka 12. juli 2021 kl. 21:55
@Ashlynne_Lee: Good to know, thanks!

Also, to anyone asking about LWOTC support: I just finished the Muton Destroyer update for Mod Jam (check my Workshop).
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 12. juli 2021 kl. 18:20
@Kiruka: Ya, the DEBUG flag is harmless. I must have forgot to set it to FALSE in the final version. All you'll see are lines in your log file when you attack an enemy with an active Damper Field Effect as the code determines if there is any damage reduction to apply.

I'm not concerned with the name overlap from a technical perspective since it's just a localization string. Another mod would have to duplicate the internal template name to cause a collision. I would be very concerned about that for numerous reasons.

If you're referring to branding, it's nothing I'd be in a rush to publish an update to change since updates can be very disruptive to players that have modified the config file. Of course, if I were to change it, I'd just be running the branding gauntlet again in hopes to pick something that isn't being used. I'll keep it in mind if there's ever a significant update.

Thanks for the feedback! :steamhappy:
Kiruka 12. juli 2021 kl. 5:43
Also, I noticed in XComAshMutonDestroyerConfig.ini under the [WotC_AshlynneMutonDestroyer.X2Effect_AshDamperField] header that ashDEBUG is set to TRUE by default, even though the note directly above it says to leave it as FALSE.
Kiruka 12. juli 2021 kl. 5:36
Not sure if name overlap is something that concerns you or not, but there's also a "Muton Devastator" in Claus' Muton Harriers mod.
HashiY 17. juni 2021 kl. 8:15
@Yoot Scute Theres a link to the LWOTC discord in the LWOTC installation guide, that links to a pinned post of B&T's Expanded Enemies Redux, It integrates a lot of enemies into LW
Yoot Scute 12. maj 2021 kl. 11:40
@Ashlynne_Lee Oh well. Thanks for telling me!
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2021 kl. 22:21
@Yoot Scute: I couldn't say for sure since I've never used LWotC, but I'd lean towards 'probably not'. :steamsad:

I had to rewrite all of my Enemy Mods to work explicitly with LW when it was released for vanilla XCom 2 (ADVENT Warlock, Flame Viper, Black ICE Codex at that time). It's been a long time; but if I remember correctly, the LW spawning algorithms for squads differed from the base game. It would really depend on if the the rewrite of LW for WotC retained those algorithms.

I think there were other code nuances if someone that knows more sees these comments and can weigh in.
Yoot Scute 11. maj 2021 kl. 21:13
Do you think this will work with LWOTC or is there no chance of getting that working?
Ashlynne_Lee  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2021 kl. 21:00
Thanks for the feedback all! :steamhappy:

@BT-7274: Black ICE Rounds are part of another one of my Enemy Mods; the Black ICE Codex. The link to that Mod is in the description above.
Spartan Striker 11. maj 2021 kl. 20:33
This is interesting also whats the mod for the black ice round?

Great stuff! Thanks for publishing
Arkhangel 10. maj 2021 kl. 5:41
Speaking of Mutons, I wonder if we'll ever get a Muton port of those ones with the Pyogen Greande. You know, the incendiary/poison ones that just cause the status, but don't do direct damage?
Azure 10. maj 2021 kl. 3:36
Nice to see a new and terrifying creature from you.
