"game balance" be damned; this encourages you to use lesser actives you'd otherwise never touch
open the console and "r book" that'll remove the pocket book and leave you the birthright one
You may have something else conflicting with the mod. I used the command console to see if the new birthright effect would crash the game, but so far it modifies the normal active slot as intended and lets you keep the pocketed book as well.
If you add the book of belial to the pocket slot in vanilla, it should still crash when getting birthright.
