not sure if i am doing something wrong but it will die after getting to about 1900
MrEggsAndHam 18 Aug, 2024 @ 1:34pm
Ive shot it blown it up and burned it its honestly super robust
MrEggsAndHam 18 Aug, 2024 @ 1:32pm
Works great! is there a way to force a melt down?
ASLAV SEVDALISI 4 May, 2024 @ 8:43am
can ı use this as a load for my trailer pack ? ı'll give credit of course
DerAtomherbst 19 Nov, 2023 @ 4:04pm
thanks, i put it in my boat

it worked, boat is slow but that is to be expected
lex_13  [author] 19 Nov, 2023 @ 3:03pm
You can
DerAtomherbst 13 Nov, 2023 @ 12:33pm
I know this says i can use it but id rather ask anyways

Can i put this in my boat?
towerman 22 Oct, 2023 @ 7:05am
it no longer works in 1.9.5 can someone fix this?
UIU_Trooper 4 Oct, 2022 @ 7:22am
pls fix
lex_13  [author] 11 Aug, 2022 @ 12:23pm
Shure you can!)
DorothyVivian 10 Aug, 2022 @ 11:09pm
May I use these generators as my ships backup batteries?
thechort 18 Mar, 2022 @ 8:50pm
I've fixed your reactor, feel free to update your workshop item with it so everyone gets the fix.

i can get around 1100 from 2 large engines
lex_13  [author] 27 Aug, 2021 @ 6:32pm
Thanks!

I have used in a lighthouse addon published here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2586561953 .
Have credited in bottom of desc. and liked this page.
Draztraz 30 Jun, 2021 @ 12:04pm
a coal one would be nice
lex_13  [author] 12 Jun, 2021 @ 12:13pm
Will do
Klaus Klavier 11 Jun, 2021 @ 1:56pm
new update buffed steam you should revise, it seems you limited its generation abilities in some way and it still makes 420 power when a n iso reactor this size has been seen making over 12kW on the 1.2.3 update when it used to make 6kW
promacomber11 7 Jun, 2021 @ 3:00pm
i think the only issue i had with this was the heater on the train overheated the condenser and i think that's the only reason it leaked radiation
promacomber11 6 Jun, 2021 @ 11:21am
it would also be convenient if there was a 2nd reactor on/off button on the front or back because when it in my train the button is covered up so i need to remove it to turn it off and it weighs too much to even bother trying
promacomber11 6 Jun, 2021 @ 11:18am
this is really awesome I'm using it to power a diesel-electric train. but the condenser overheated I think it was just a fluke from closing and reopening the game because it never happened again. but it does slowly leak radiation so i need a hazmat suit to use it. its still really awesome tho. idk if reactors always leak radiation or not..
Napoleon Bonaparte 5 Jun, 2021 @ 1:32pm
this will help with powering stuff like my vehicles or enviorment or missions thanks
Mr. Nobody 5 Jun, 2021 @ 1:14pm
thx

Personally (I Dont Think Im Going To Mess With This Thing] Simplest Way To Make It Explode Would Require Modifications, In The Form Of Disconnecting Cooling Systems Or Otherwise, Since I Dont See Any Way To Control It Other Than A Singular Button (Presumably Just To Turn It On Or Off], Though According To RPerry435 You Could Probably Try To "Push It To Its Absolute Limits" Like Draining An Electrical Grid Of Its Power (Thusly Making Some Complicated Machine To Drain Its Power, Not Sure How Complicated Such Would Have To Be Though]
Basically:
1. Cut Coolant Lines
Or 2. Extreme Electrical Usage
lex_13  [author] 4 Jun, 2021 @ 11:15pm
It is not designed to :)
IpsiddyBippSnipp 4 Jun, 2021 @ 4:14pm
can i make this thing go boom boom? if i can, how
lex_13  [author] 4 Jun, 2021 @ 2:28pm
Well, you can power bases
StrongOne 4 Jun, 2021 @ 2:05pm
picture 3 is the best and only use for a nuclear generator
RBerry435 2 Jun, 2021 @ 4:15pm
Only issue I've encountered is when you push the system to the absolute limits, the Condenser heat and fluid EXPLODES, fluid empties instantly and the condenser overheat warning kicks on. Anyway I could upgrade condensers to handle higher s/watt charging?
Tippy7 2 Jun, 2021 @ 9:35am
This is amazing!
lex_13  [author] 2 Jun, 2021 @ 8:42am
Dry weight is 7000, coolan volume is about 5000
TurbulentTurtle 2 Jun, 2021 @ 8:17am
How heavy is it? Not that I'd be dropping it from planes or anything...
phillydopey 2 Jun, 2021 @ 7:57am
looks deadly
kak the protogen 2 Jun, 2021 @ 7:16am
this is amazing
random man 2 Jun, 2021 @ 5:06am
ok thanks
lex_13  [author] 1 Jun, 2021 @ 11:29pm
My cargo truck, still WIP
random man 1 Jun, 2021 @ 3:56pm
what is the vehicle in the image that you are loading the generator onto?
thatcoolcat1 1 Jun, 2021 @ 3:11pm
interesting, will have to investigate further
lex_13  [author] 1 Jun, 2021 @ 2:22pm
My generator works around 200C
thatcoolcat1 1 Jun, 2021 @ 1:12pm
Yeah doing some experiments on other reactors me and mondo realized that radiation will build up at temperatures over 350, but you can keep near same levels of efficiency at 300 without any radiation buildup.
kev4ev 31 May, 2021 @ 10:42pm
Indeed radiation starts to build up from T+15 min. I've tried to make sure the rods are enclosed by adding more structure, but it won't help. Maybe we should wait for a couple of hotfixes before farther investigation?
lex_13  [author] 31 May, 2021 @ 10:13am
Thanks!
Mr. Nobody 31 May, 2021 @ 9:00am
i sub u
lex_13  [author] 31 May, 2021 @ 7:28am
Basically anything that can carry ISO fuel tank - should carry this generator. Also, I'm building a crawler that can use those generator as changeable power units
Etyneo 31 May, 2021 @ 6:20am
Reactor works well and is very stable. However, after running it awhile I noted that the radiation level goes up over time. Not only as measured by the reactor unit itself, but also the handheld Geiger counter. I did notice that the fuel assemblies themselves are right on the end. Not sure if shielding is modeled, but it might be worth trying to slide the reactor over one block to put some shielding on the ends of those fuel assemblies. I do realize this may not be possible, given how compact it is presently. Something to think about anyway.
NPC 31 May, 2021 @ 5:19am
Is there anything that can carry this?
lex_13  [author] 31 May, 2021 @ 1:23am
Flood lights and fan just for demo.
I will experiment with coal.
NoLesLuck 31 May, 2021 @ 1:14am
would be cool if you made a coal variant tho
NoLesLuck 31 May, 2021 @ 1:13am
dude thank you, I've had so much trouble trying to get the power so high
at last my dreams of building THE GREAT ONE may be realized
That Dude 30 May, 2021 @ 11:23pm
nice, but what about the flood lights and the fan
