I imagine the bug can be fixed by opening the FCS and setting the 'gigantic' property (which lets things be seen from afar regardless of draw distance) to false. Thirty seconds to do for those inclined.

Just here to confirm what Bone Daddy has already said in the comments before me.
There is indeed a visual bug tied to this mod. You will see an odd square to indicate where this neat piece of architecture is EVERYWHERE you go in Kenshi. It doesn't seem to matter the distance. In fact, the distance only indicates just how far away from it you actually are.
At this point, I've sunken in about 345 hours worth of gameplay, and since building this mod in game, I would say a good 80% of my time spent in game, I was able to see this building at all times. It's not a game breaker by any means. But if for immersion sake... Especially if I have intentions of making a "Let's Play" series out of this, I think I'm going to have to remove this mod, unless a fix comes out.

is there anyway to close the doors or seal it so enemies can't get in?

There's an interesting visual bug where I can see this building through the terrain no matter where I am. I see the building through mountains and canyons miles away.

I really like the building but don't it seem a bit weird that such a massive and advanced structure would only cost a bunch of common books to research and 5 building materials to make?

is the in-game building the taller one in the thumbnail or the shorter one in the screenshots?
