Yes, a CS2 version would be awesome!
WigllyDoodle 17 May @ 1:45pm
Honestly would love a version of this for CS2 :D
Deez 30 Apr @ 3:36pm
Still my favourite map after all this time.... Love your work...
coycoy 9 Sep, 2024 @ 3:14am
This is by far the best map in the workshop. I love this map so much.
It is full vanilla but even better than any modded maps.
SadBear 21 Jul, 2024 @ 1:10am
Has anyone else been using this map lately. LSM is showing this map is Missing: Game Store 3X3 Level 3 & 2. This is my 1st, all time favorite, map but those two assets are breaking the map entirely from me being able to load it. :steamsad:

Does anyone have a non-DLC or NExt2 version?
Lordwarblade 17 Dec, 2023 @ 7:52pm
Yep, when I was growing up in Kent I often thought we could do with a mountain backdrop. Personally, I would have replaced France with it.
azz0lt  [author] 1 Aug, 2023 @ 6:42am
Hi @NASCAR23XI. If you want to change the environment you would need Theme Mixer 2.5. Or why not just try another theme - I've changed it to Pdelmo's Euro 4K and looks really good! Thanks @Pickpockets, @Oxyligen, @driftwoodsaint, @stevegoodwin, @Alvand, & @Ghadkar (really enjoyed your lets play using this map :))
NASCAR23XI 30 Jun, 2023 @ 8:07pm
How can I change it from a European themed map? Or can you not do that? Love the map otherwise, just not a fan of the European theme.
さどるかばー 28 Mar, 2023 @ 5:59pm
I love this map! Thank You So Much! This is the best map ever Ive played
Oxyligen 23 Mar, 2023 @ 11:57pm

Thank you for this map and, @ghadkar, thank you for posting your city!
Ghadkar 18 Jan, 2023 @ 7:42am
This is the city i built on your map.

Thank you so much. The best map I've ever played!

Show us something @itsAlvand! :-)
Alvand 24 Nov, 2022 @ 2:55am
i've built 5 cities on this map. best map ever.
stevegoodwin 27 Jul, 2022 @ 1:30am
Thank you. @azz0It, i shall take a greater look at it. 12,000 population, and a smaller station does indeed spawn trains. Great map, by the way. I am really enjoying building upon it
azz0lt  [author] 25 Jul, 2022 @ 9:13am
Hi @stevegoodwin. Hub placement can behave oddly with the game engine. My hub now gets 3 intercity routes with medium size city. Things to consider; If you've used move it to move a hub/station this can "break" stations. Check you can run local routes in to the hub. Small cities may be slow to spawn intercity train traffic. Try using a standard station with 3 or 4 routes terminating at it then upgrade when larger city. Definitely should have seen traffic after an hour if city large enough. Hope this helps. This also may be useful to read but other players have noticed the same as you. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1200365784&searchtext=train+behaviour
stevegoodwin 20 Jul, 2022 @ 12:47pm
I placed the large terminal train station in the location you kindly created, and ensured that the rails are connected up correctly but after playing for another hour i haven't seen any intercity trains arrive at the station. Any ideas what could be causing this? Powered, allow intercity trains selected etc.
azz0lt  [author] 27 Jun, 2022 @ 8:21am
Hi @Deez thanks for your feedback. Hi @Jun try the mod called "Move It". It's very stable and useful! @Iratus Ursi glad it worked and when set up can handle a lot of traffic. I keep all passenger traffic off the circular route (except international) so that freight runs really fast and keeps it off the road.
Deez 24 Jun, 2022 @ 5:32pm
My favorite Map.... Thanks for all your hard work, Cheers
Iratus Ursi 22 Jun, 2022 @ 10:51am
@azz0lt, thank you. After your advice I got it placed, amazing map!
Jun 20 Jun, 2022 @ 6:53am
Hello! I really love your city :D
I have one question is which mod should I get for building cargo hub in port? It's un-buildable :(
azz0lt  [author] 19 Jun, 2022 @ 10:43am
Thanks @Iratus Ursi. Glad you like it! Yes cargo hub placement at that location is tricky. I've gone back in to the map editor and annoyingly the game always spawns bridge pillars at the locations you mention plus the end of the road ramp whatever I do. I think the only solution is to delete them with Move It. Select the marquee tool and buildings filter, select the area and delete. I can't see a way to do without Move It. Thanks @KayTMo, @smitham2, @The_Mask, @IicIac, @dunateo, @Mr. Chiweenie, and @danielcolbert; thanks for your feedback and glad you like it.
Iratus Ursi 15 Jun, 2022 @ 12:24pm
Amazing map thank you @azz0lt! I do have one snag, I cannot place the cargo terminal in it's spot you made? I tried to delete some things and found the issue to be two raised railway supports and I cannot delete them, I have tried a few things. Would love any suggestions as you made a great cargo harbour.
KayTMo 5 May, 2022 @ 1:07am
Absolutely stunning, really looking forward to getting started on a build with this one!
smitham2 30 Apr, 2022 @ 9:29pm
This map is a masterpiece. Truly a piece of art
The_Mask 17 Apr, 2022 @ 1:40pm
This is the best map imo .
liclac 5 Apr, 2022 @ 10:13am
Absolutely fantastic map, I've had a great time building my last city on it.

Just the right amount of existing infrastructure to make me feel like I'm linking up to an existing national rail- and highway network, but without ever getting in the way, or feeling like I have to do something I don't want to.
dunateo 1 Apr, 2022 @ 3:26am
I have to say - this has been the best map I have played! It is so detailed and enjoyable to work with. Thank you!
Mr. Anonymous 3 Mar, 2022 @ 6:23pm
After seeing this on BonBon's review I decided to reinstall CS after a few years of not playing it (I'd played it to death after about 800 hours.) The map is really amazing and I'm all in on a new city here.
danielcolbert 20 Feb, 2022 @ 11:23am
Amazing map and very like English countryside. I can't wait to use it for my next city, with lots of British themed buildings.
azz0lt  [author] 2 Feb, 2022 @ 8:20am
@Slinbkk. Mine too and glad you like it! @BERCIK I'm not sure if loading without Mass Transit DLC will cause a game error or just load without Mass Transit Roads. I do plan to release a new version with latest vanilla tress and also with no DLC but sadly maybe some time yet
BERCIK 27 Jan, 2022 @ 1:45am
Is there any way to play on this map without DLC?
Slinbkk 10 Jan, 2022 @ 4:15pm
my favorite map! :selike: :carfire::carfire::carfire:
azz0lt  [author] 7 Jan, 2022 @ 12:40pm
Hi @Bud_Spencer Many thanks for your feedback and really glad you like it! Hi @KiseMise Thanks for your feedback. Sadly no time at present for a new version but most the detail and network is designed just to be a backdrop on the outskirts so just destroy any detail you don't want either in game as the city grows on in advance in the editor. Hi @nihilco And thank you. You're absolutely right. Move or destroy what ever you like!! I've moved the castle inland in my city and was kind of more initially intended as a river entrance fortress than a castle. I can raise the castle as long as I raise everything (walls, quays, paths, props etc) in one go or prior to moving delete the quays and paths to put on uneven terrain. City builders should have total freedom to change anything they want :)
nihilco 7 Jan, 2022 @ 9:11am
Awesome map to start 2022 with, thank you!
If the castle ever had a defensive function, it would make sense to have it sit on elevated position, overlooking strategic areas. So the first thing I did to this map, was simply raising the castle up. However, my first attempt at +25 meters proved a bit too much, causing heavy 'shark teeth' around the riverside quays of the castle. The second attempt at +10 meters from the original level did look better, but not totally satisfying. I thought of creating somewhat more of a 'peak' but it seems out of place at that location. Also, closer to the bay/sea seems to be a more strategic position anyway. But I figured that it would be a little disrespectful to just relocate the map maker's castle ....Lucky for me, I just read in the comments that azz0lt encourages demolition and redevelopment as much as you want, so maybe I will create my ideal (landscaped) strategic mountaintop fortress :)
KiseMise 7 Jan, 2022 @ 1:30am
Beautiful map!

Azz0lt: Will it be released without the extensive road and rail network? Would love it even more with just a couple of basic connections...
Bud_Spencer 5 Jan, 2022 @ 12:28am
I have been looking for a new map for weeks and finally found this one. It seems that all my requirements are perfectly covered. The highway city ring perfectly delimits the city area, and there are many possibilities to create multiple outskirts. The industrial areas along the canal are very well placed. The track network is also very useful. And last but not least, I also like the landscape features and much more... Special thanks for this ingenious map! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came across it through BonBonB, thanks to him too!
whoisvaibhav 30 Dec, 2021 @ 2:03am
Thanks for the reply... Once again, really appreciate your work :)
azz0lt  [author] 28 Dec, 2021 @ 3:29am
Hi @whoisvaibhav. Thanks for your feedback and glad you like it. The central train line terminus is ready to link up to the either of the 2 multi platform stations that come with Mass Transit or to a single station with the other lines as sidings (what I have in my city and cheaper to run until it gets bigger)
whoisvaibhav 27 Dec, 2021 @ 4:57am
I love this map. It got me to start a new city. However, I am scratching my head for the best way to use all the rail lines that beautifully terminate in the center. Is there an asset that helps with this? Looking for 'inspiration'.
azz0lt  [author] 22 Dec, 2021 @ 1:56am
@Rigf - you're right there a lot of detail and did wonder if too much but left it in as thought it gives scale to the map and can easily be demolished (the city I'm building on has most of the central pre built detail demolished). Glad you like the tree work - it was the quickest and most satisfying part of the build
Rigf 17 Dec, 2021 @ 10:11am
@azz0lt I think thats exactly what would be nice, this map is beautiful and the trees are perfect but in some places it seems like its all layed out for you. I like the dirt roads but not so much the quays and the harbour thats basically almost finished.

I love how you put in so much detail and you're great at making maps as i can see here but maybe just a bit less detail would be perfect.
azz0lt  [author] 6 Dec, 2021 @ 1:14am
Hi @Hot Take Tony. You raise a good point. I'm playing this map myself and my approach is that all the detail and most the network is purely a backdrop for the city and therefore can be completely deleted or changed based on the city's needs. For example I have demolished all the spaghetti at the docks and moved the entire castle. I really recommend Move It for this. The city centre/downtown now covers where the dirt roads once were and is a completely different design. In summary I would have no qualms in demolishing large areas of detail to give yourself a blank canvas if needed. I'm playing with vanilla rules and normal money and have had no problems starting the city. Hope this helps
azz0lt  [author] 6 Dec, 2021 @ 1:13am
Hi @tjv1974 @& Jack Reacharound; Thank you for your comments. They are much appreciated. Hi @tabbed Glad you are enjoying the map. Thanks for identifying that the wind turbines although placed purely for decoration do produce power and will show on the city's power supply even if not connected to the city grid.
Hot Take Tony 5 Dec, 2021 @ 4:50pm
Great looking map, just so many props/things to remove at the start of the game I feel like I'm remaking the whole map all over. So many things are so intricately placed that if I want to connect/upgrade/move anything it takes deleting the whole beautiful network you made just to make it work. Also, the placement of the 25 tiles just seems...off center? I don't know how to describe it, but it feels like everywhere I look is an awkward place to put the center/downtown of my city. With all the dirt roads, its more difficult to imagine where to place things/where to place my roads. Overall I love the look, I just wish it was an easier start, even with unlocking all 25 tiles and infinite money. I couldn't even imagine playing this with the in-game's start money, that would be a nightmare of a challenge
tabbed 4 Dec, 2021 @ 6:58am
Hi @azz0lt,

I really enjoy the map. Amazing work!

Just if somebody else is wondering why you start off with 20MW power production:
I guess it is caused by some wind turbines which are already placed on the map far out? I spotted at least one.
If you play vanilla (don't unlock everything directly) this is super confusing because the power production always gets summed up, even if you don't have a power line to these turbines yet.
Conqueeftador 1 Dec, 2021 @ 7:22am
Bro, this map is sexy AF.
I immediately abandoned my current project and swapped for this map.
tjv1974 16 Nov, 2021 @ 4:36am
Beautiful setting - my next project beckons!
azz0lt  [author] 20 Oct, 2021 @ 9:00am
@urarakiroshi Thank you for your comments and hope to do a new map soon but may be while as enjoying playing the map now. Hi @Black Duke Glad you picked it and hope you enjoy it. @Ysharros Thank you for your feedback. One of the aims of the map was to be fun to fly around and always know where you are on the map. I have an idea for a new map but enjoying building a city on this map so is a little slow! @Mr Moe Lester. Well spotted! I know them well and also influences of Old Portsmouth
