I really like this mod, but I don't think the queen is ever going to lay an egg. Is there something I'm missing?

I believe they are permanently hostile.

@Hohen I've made a Scorchlander race for my local game copy (including factions, name generator, pawnkinds, etc), add me on Steam and I can send it across if you want to include it with you kenshi add-on (it's where I've saved the files on my local copy so figured I should reach out).

@TikVortex the timer I think is 5 days but if you go into the race files for the mod and find the one for the queen it should say the exact time.

@Tweetus, fun fact if you play with Hospitality active, you can get a southern hiver queen show up to ur colony, befriend and recruit her. Or character editor at the point where you are picking your queen in the scenario.

@WarlordKandyman Check the age of the queen if you are using any of the children and babies mods, if she is not 18 and you aren't playing with a rapid ageing mod she won't lay eggs. I would suggest opening up character editor, change the age to 18 and see if the percentage counter appears for the eggs.

When ever I try to start a new game with any of these two scenarios, nothing happens... I can't play with them for some reason. And I tried continuing a game I had, but the queen was missing, I couldn't see or control her.

I have started as a lone queen and love the idea but my queen does not seem to be spawning anything and its been a quadrum now :O is there something else i need for it to work ?

Oh, sure! That's fine, yeah.

Basically, I made the Fogmen from Kenshi. While doing that I made some tweaks and fixes here and there to the hivers and it was just easier to collect your queen scenario rather than patch several separate mods (patching is hard)...but I get distracted so I started including more things from Vex's other Kenshi mods and then said f- it I'll make a mini Kenshi mod and call it an addon.
My brain is a little spacey and I don't clarify things lol....what am I doing? I'll just link it.

@Hohen - I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "an addon pack for Kenshi" - do you mean a steam workshop collection of Kenshi-related Rimworld mods? If so, that's fine.

@ululu I've been playing with your scenarios since I came back to Rimworld and really enjoy both. Hiveless Queen + Babies & Children/Age Matters makes it extra challenging. Great fun though.

@jon - This mod does not add new content. Queens and Egg gestation cycles are all part of the base Rim-Hivers! mod; as such, my mod exerts not control over how those mechanics behave.

Hi, If I combine this awsome mod with "Children Shool and Learning" then the new born Hive Members are to young to work. How I can adjust the age of the Hives I get from the eggs?

@Dead Beat Gamer - As far as I can tell, this mod still functions in 1.3 without any changes. I'll be pushing an update shortly to get rid of those unnecessary incompatibility warnings.

Really hope this gets updated for 1.3. I have an idea for a hive carnivorous bug people who live under a mountain worship their queen.

I think it might actually be a problem with the queens themselves and not a problem with your mod however.

When I try to use your queen starts the world refuses to generate for selecting start location.

could you please give savage queen the ability of a regular queen the model is in the mod and the egg is too all you need to do is add the egg progress please and thank you

@Plate: Via my playtesting, this doesn't happen normally. This may be due to another mod you have installed; probably one that adds life stages before the age of 15 (the minimum age for vanilla pawns). Your best bet would to be to ask for a compatibility patch on the main Rim-Hivers! page.

legitimate question I have 3 newborn hivers and they are just a waste of food and beds rn just wondering how long until they lose the too young to work trait
