Mantha: This sub is updated and works properly with no other mods.

The reactor will fully power the sub and charge the battery. Turn the reactor switch on then turn the battery switch off. This will put you on full reactor power and charge batteries.

I have added a large storage cabinet to the upper airlock.

Mantha: My subs have not been updated in awhile. There were quite a few updates and keeping them all updated became difficult. I imagine power settings were changed or reset to default values in some update. This is likely causing the problem. Just to make sure I will include this info:

This sub is battery powered. The included reactor only charges the battery. Which means the total power draw has to be less than the reactor send to batteries. Sitting stationary should allow the battery to charge but you can try setting the sub down on rocks, shutting down power and see if reactor is able to charge the battery. If it is not then the circuit is broken from an update.

I am sure the extra turret and more storage would improve the sub. However almost all my subs are designed to be "imperfect" to encourage users to upgrade to more expensive subs or edit my subs in the editor to customize them for themselves.

Also some feedback- there desperately needs to be another large steel cabinet or something. The sub badly needs more storage.
And the sub would greatly benefit from an upper-left weapon mount. Doesn't have to have a weapon on it by default, but just the option for a weapon on the upper-left hull would be so much better.

I'm in the middle of a mission. I am stationary above a wreck, and the power just...fails. The reactor cannot maintain high enough temp, even if I switch to manual.
I read the comments on this page and tried every combination of flipping the battery/reactor switches. The power will not come back to full.

And just asking , do you plan to do a attack/transport vessel specially designed to capture ennemy/prisonner and transport them safely ( or execute them if a player feel like a little sadistic/they start to try to break free )

You have make all sort of vessel but actually no prison-vessel like , i think that would be great if you can manage to make one !

Oh and i wanna say most of your submarine are top tier quality , keep up the good work captain !

featherice: Thank you for commenting! The searchlight works fine in vanilla. Please check to see if you have any mods installed that affect them. There is only one searchlight and the others are cameras. This sub is specifically designed to be battery primary powered. The power system would have to be rewired. Not impossible but it is a significant change.

I really love this sub ( one of my favorite tbh ) but AI can't reach the shuttle , could you please fix that if you can ?

I think everything works except searchlights, they seem unresponsive. I want to edit this sub to rely less on battery (50/50) and lower shuttle speed a bit. Can you recommend a best way to do it?

using this + barotraumatic and it's decent for the first two biomes. get hybrid ammo for coilguns or switch to pulse lasers and it's a fairly formidable sub. the shuttle is incredibly fast and good for picking off bounty targets if you don't want to risk the entire sub

Salvatore: The hatch lock button is on the captain's nav console. You will see a display change from unlocked to locked. However the shuttle was not able to undock due to a game update. I have updated the shuttle for you and it should work properly now. Thank you for letting me know!

C.K - None of my vessels have been updated yet unfortunately. I have many that need to be updated and/or removed and rebuilt. I have been waiting for several game updates to come through before redesigning them all. I should be getting to it soon along with the release of a new interactive outpost. Please keep an eye out for updates.

That's awesome, i'm looking forward to checking out the updates! One other thing that's just a suggestion, I've seen it on at least one custom sub but a way to utilize the top bunk for bunk beds just in case you're playing with more than 4 people who want to rest at the same time: A second, invisible (alpha: 000) bunk bed shifted up so the bottom bed is in line with the top bunk, and it works pretty well to make it look like somebody is in the top bed.

Vince: Thank you very much for commenting! Sprite depth for the doors are intentional .. The others are as you guessed not. The game has been updated a couple time since this subs design and this along with some of my others have sprite and text sizing issues. I have also heard AI pathing may need to be updated in my builds.

I have been pretty busy lately but intend to go over each build and update them within the next month. Please keep an eye out for updates and thank you very much for reporting these issues!

I don't know if the editor makes things not work as they're supposed to but I look at subs I download in the editor to get a feel for them before actually playing a game with them, and I noticed a few things.

Some elements in the background have the wrong sprite depth? Like some of the doorways appear behind the characters, some of them in front. And in the medbay, the wall locker and a fan behind the medical bed appear in front of the character when you have them lay in the bed. Some subs have doors with less depth and maybe that's intentional, but I'm guessing the locker and fan aren't.

Regards to AI, after an explosion in engineering/fabrication, the AI got in a weird loop running between the deconstructor and fabricator trying to repair them, presumably. Not sure what the issue is as I'm fairly new to the editor, maybe a waypoint thing?

Anyway this submarine is pretty cool, I like all the features you've added. I wish i could just get my friends on this game. Excellent work!

Barry+Sons: I have posted the shuttle as a stand-alone scout that you can edit. You will need to save it as a shuttle (checkbox when saving) to add it to a sub. Hope that helps! Link is below.

Could you release the IMC JAS Shuttle as a separate mod or include it here? I would like to do some cosmetic edits for a campaign if possible?

Sproutprinceps: There is a physical button on the command console under the fuel display that will toggle a different lighting. Have you tried that or still too dark? It is designed to be "atmospheric" with lighting but that switch should help.

Russtymango: thank you for commenting! That lever controls the drain ducts. Auto will make them open automatically when they sense water and drain water down through the decks to the ballast. Closed will prevent drainage in case you need to isolate rooms for repairs or have a small area flooded.

PS: The automatic O2 system will not calculate flooded rooms to supply O2. If the whole sub is flooded the auto O2 will disable. However the EMR system and the O2 manual override will supply O2 to all rooms regardless of flooding status.

Toaster: I can not seem to repeat the issue as the auto O2 is working for me in all modes. I have added a manual override switch on the O2 generator to bypass the automated system if desired or problematic. Green light is always on , orange is auto. You may need to unsubscribe and resubscribe to get the update. Thank you again for letting me know!

Ok, it is refilling rooms now, but the threshold seems way to low around 25-30% in some rooms, other rooms don't refill until O2 goes critical or a door is opened.

The O2 auto energy saver does not seem to work properly (tested via starting new campaign).
O2 slowly drains until everyone on board is dead.

thederpyone: The shuttle has been updated. The shuttle ballast pump now draws power from the docking port when docked. This will allow you to manually control the pump to drain the shuttle when docked.

Nugginz: It pulls 10k power from the station automatically when docked. That power goes straight to the battery as it is a battery primary sub. Engage battery power and turn off reactor when docked. The battery will power the whole sub and charge very quickly at same time. The goal is to never need to use the reactor except for emergency battery recharge.

Absolutely wonderful starter sub although when I'm attacked from the bottom, the AI tend to shoot the mini shuttle and it floods. I'm fine with that but I have not found out how to turn the mini sub on when docked to drain the water after the leak is fixed.
