How about a 5.56 Mk-I EMR ? Same velocity, same accuracy, less recoil, maybe a 30 round mag or stick to the 25 rnd, a little lighter. (It would not be OP, 5.56 negates that instantly)
Why ?
You know the Mk-12 SPR, a DMR based on the M16, something like that.
Why ? For some close range infantry support it is nice to have
It would literally be an assault rifle but with sniper-level accuracy and velocity
And making a .338 chambered weapon into 6,5mm is also a bit too far fetched, the setup of the entire weapon wouldnt make sense visually
MAR-10
25 rnd Mag (keep the default one or modify if u want)
Enabled Full auto
6.5x39mm
Recoil Slightly stronger than the MXM
990 m/s (little higher than CMR-76)
Keep accuracy the same (0.00044 rad)
Weight 220 ? 200 ? something like that
Why ?
Well MXM is not very decent counterpart to CMR-76 (yes I have been scrolling through weapons)
So an underpowered MAR-10, with less range but less recoil as well, perfect for jungle fighting
Sorry for being annoying, I just need some decent, long range, high performance weapon for NATO, making scenarios so ye
but still, thanks for taking the time to discuss!
"Thanks to its longer barrel, the MXM retains the highest muzzle velocity out of all the MX variants: an impressive 920 m/s in contrast to the baseline MX's 800 or even the MXC's meagre 720."
And the MK18 has same barrel length as the Mk-1 ? Just asking never measured it
940 m/s is a base velocity for Mk-I EMR in 7.62 so it would be nice if it was a little higher
a SPAR-17 in 6,5 would just be a copy of that with a different model
