Thank you!
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 30. maj kl. 18:41
yeah I can do that. It will be a couple of days.
DisasterAhead 30. maj kl. 17:42
I know this may be asking a lot, but any chance you would be willing to make a version of this mod that's both downscaled and no exhaust trails? If that's too much to ask, I totally get it.

Yes you're correct it does affect the checksum.

Hmm I see. If I name it something like mymod_defines.txt it reads some of the data but not all. That's still a unique filename though. But if I add the ~~~ in front like "~~~mymod_defines.txt" it suddenly works perfectly. I tested it over and over, it's very odd and I'm just trying to understand it. Those ~~~ aren't some kind of reference identifier or anything?
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. 2024 kl. 17:28
just a unique file name.

Hey I've been using your mod, I love the way it makes the formations, and have been wanting to add a few things on top of what you've added in the defines.txt. I got it figured out after trying hard to find out why I couldn't get it to work, it was just the name of the defines.txt file you had with the "~~~" I can change it to whatever I want but it has to have the "~~~" in front of it. Can you explain what that is for so I can better understand the file structure? Thanks.

Thank you!! The original solar systems I built the mod for was Real Space. The one that is created for solar system scaling was tested and used with the mod Real Space-System Scale.

Thank you for taking the time to note this updated mod.

There is actually a reference to it on the discussion tab and has a link to the latest version of "downscaled updated".

There is a proper fork of Downscaled Ships now called "downscaled updated"

Noice!

Also since Downscaled ships has not been updated since 2021, I would expect many new ships to not be covered at all. That is one reason a modder put together an Aquatics shipset patch.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2022 kl. 10:23
This mod has nothing to do with scaling ships. It changes the fleets formation just like the base mod but in relation to smaller ships.

Because the ships are smaller the Fleet Formation Mod that is used for normal scale didn't support downscaled ships.

I modified the base Fleet Formation Mod to new values so that it would work with Downscaled ships.

There are 4 versions of this mod, three of them are specifically designed to deal with different scaling mods. Such as solar system scale changes and ship scale changes.

@Rage007 With the mercenary enclaves that came with Overlord and 3.4, does this mod downsize those enclaves or does this only affect ships? The one thing I noticed with the Downscaled Ships mod is that the mercenary enclaves do not even show up, in game, when created.

Thank you!

This mod works with 3.3.4.
I do not use Gigastructures. However Based on a quick test with; Gigastructures mod, downscaled ships and the Fleet Formation mod, it works for me.

Note: You should place it after the Gigastructures mod.
Toxic 17. mar. 2022 kl. 11:18
Is this working with the newest patch and with the gigastructure mod?
dreamalot062 11. mar. 2022 kl. 13:20
WOW! Thanks a million! @Rage007
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 10. mar. 2022 kl. 9:53
Thank you.
The two most common ship sets I use are:
"Sins of the Prophets: Stellaris" with "Sins of the Prophets: NSC Compatibillity Patch"
or
Kurogane Expanded (New)

For ship size diversity:

I now use NSC2 Lite.

I used to use the NSC2 main mod but its unbalanced in regards to the science exploration ship and some of the starbase station features.

In the main mod the special exploration ship can generate 40 research per ship which is ridiculously over powered and I do not like getting any advantage over the AI. In the NSC2 Lite mod the special science ship is nerfed and acceptible but redundant and useless. IMO it should be completely removed.

for the list of mods I use see the following collections
