Update: I rarely use any mods in game. I was not aware that it was required to enable the mod from the in game menu (MODS section). Once enable it required a reboot and then it worked perfectly. So to summarize for the naive players (myself included)

1. Subscribe to the fix
2. Validate (from the properties for the game in steam)...
a. ...that it downloads
b. ...that it is enabled
3. Manually enable the mod from the in game MODS menu option
4. Reboot the game

After those steps it worked flawlessly for me

For some reason this did not fix the issue on my end :( It is the only workshop item that I have subscribed to. It has been downloaded, and under properties the box has been checked, and I have restarted the game several times over now.

@TheBDU They're aware of the problem, and they have a patch ready, but they can't release the patch until it gets digitally signed by Microsoft. TL;DR their hands are tied by red tape.

@Jake Speed: After subscribing, you have to go into the Mods menu once you start the game and enable it from there for it to work.

FYI...fix does nothing on my install...no help :-(.

Yes I confirmed that it downloaded
Yes I confirmed that under properties for MW5 Merc that the workshop item (This is the only WS item I subscribed to) is selected (box checked)
