Go subscribe to Ctrl F. It's way better than this.

how do you change the keybind
Kowhaifan 25. nov. 2022 kl. 2:00
okay turns out the instructions were just really damn confusing, if you are gonna use symbols just say "equals" dont put the = sign
Kowhaifan 25. nov. 2022 kl. 1:56
it wont work for me, nothing appears no matter what i do. (can provide screenies or whatever you want)
Arcimbaldo 21. nov. 2022 kl. 15:42
Yeah it would be really great if this could find items loaded onto pack animals. Would be an enormous quality of life benefit for nomadic runs.

also can it not search plants or am I misunderstanding how the search term flags work? trying to work out where the anima tree is on this map lol
boomrng 13. nov. 2022 kl. 4:12
Hey, this mod is unable to find items loaded onto pack animals.
you can recreate this by sending a caravan and then trying to search for items when you're on the "mining" map

@Full Panic just in case you missed it, I sent you a steam message
Full Panic 26. okt. 2022 kl. 23:27
Well I made some small improvements. On opening Rimsearch the search field is focused and the cursor moves to the end of line so you can immediately start typing. How do you want to handle moving forward? If you set up a github I can make a pull request.
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 26. okt. 2022 kl. 15:41
Huh, well I just tested it myself and it worked fine too lol. Maybe I misremember having tested it before (though I could've sworn I did) and just took that one guy at his word that it happened. Could be it requires custom research or it was changed in the update or something I dunno I guess I'll reword the warning. iirc it was reported at 1.2 maybe 1.1.
Full Panic 26. okt. 2022 kl. 12:08
WIth rimsearch open I had research complete many times with no issues, both with dev mode and naturally. I'll pop this in my current modded colony and see if there is an issue.
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 26. okt. 2022 kl. 11:50
It was reported a while ago and (I think) I tested it. If you have the rimsearch window active while a research completes it is supposed to hardlock the game.
Full Panic 26. okt. 2022 kl. 11:18
I haven't experienced research causing an issue. What am I looking for and how is the issue produced?
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 25. okt. 2022 kl. 17:39
It was on a now deleted github, https://easyupload.io/37h9nc there's a reupload if you want I assume they wouldnt mind
Full Panic 25. okt. 2022 kl. 12:22
Where did you get the source? I'll fix it.
Cat Lord 22. okt. 2022 kl. 13:32
Thanks for your work !

Updated for 1.4 and briefly tested and seems fine, still be wary of the apparent research bug though (see desc).
MrSpacePenguin 21. okt. 2022 kl. 11:52
will this get updated to 1.4? or should we go back to official one
ProfileName 16. okt. 2022 kl. 6:24
Ah. Sorry.
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 16. okt. 2022 kl. 6:20
No, I just recompile this mod to keep it working with the updates I'm not actually a rimworld modder so I cant add features or anything.
ProfileName 16. okt. 2022 kl. 6:11
Question, then, could you try making a research search? Please and thanks. Otherwise, I'll use this to figure out how much cloth I've managed to obtain without the double-click feature (LWM's deep storage moment).
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 15. okt. 2022 kl. 19:05
@ProfileName no this searches the map for things. Useful for finding items or mass selecting all those herb meds you harvested for haul etc.
@g0ldheart_rr I'll try to update it for 1.4 when released
ProfileName 15. okt. 2022 kl. 15:05
Thought this would, well, search my research trees for something in particular (where the hell is "Luciferium Production"?). Nevermind. Sad.
Demognomicon 13. okt. 2022 kl. 13:28
1.4 compatible version possible?
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2022 kl. 7:49
@Tookatee As a workaround you could pause the game every time you use it. I recently went through multiple colony runs and never had it happen to me, I guess I do it by habit.

Unfortunately I'm not the developer I've just been recompiling it for my personal use and sharing it here for others who missed it. I'll add a note in the description about the issue.
Tookatee 30. juli 2022 kl. 19:34
A shame because the mod is very useful, but that is way too frustrating of an issue to tolerate (even if it's somewhat rare).
Tookatee 30. juli 2022 kl. 19:32
Yes its still an issue, if your research is about to finish do not open the search menu. Otherwise you'll have to close Rimworld and reload, forcing you to lose progress as the stuck popups prevent you from opening the escape menu and saving.
Jet 27. apr. 2022 kl. 19:37
i saw someone mention they had to quit because the research menu opened during search. Is that an issue for this mod?
Death_dx  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2022 kl. 14:44
@V I guess that guy (1.0 guy) started maintaining it again and updated to 1.3 (I did 1.1/1.2/1.3 recompiles when there were none).

How do I rebind Y?
unsuspected 26. juli 2021 kl. 2:25
I don't see this feature in 1.3 (to search the map for all entities of an item), but if I'm mistaken, let me know. Ty for your work :)
Julian Skies 21. juli 2021 kl. 19:56
@super_jqp: No, what vanilla added was the ability to search menus/lists, this searches the map for entieties.
Cat Lord 21. juli 2021 kl. 8:16
I have not seen it working in Vanilla (or the search key was not Y)
super_jqp 21. juli 2021 kl. 7:49
1.3 added this to vanilla, I believe.
