It appears your recent update is making my game freeze and crash. Reverting to the previous version has my game run smoothly. No errors in the log.

Ah, yes. I resubscribed and that seems to have fixed it. However now I have a different problem where I have accidentally duplicated the mod into its 1.4 and 1.5 versions, and can't seem to get rid of the 1.4 version. Though at this point it's out of your hands.

@D3K43 then, it wasn't updated from the workshop to support v1.5.
Try unsubscribing, and removing the folder manually (if the mod manager allows that), before resubscribing again

When you open the downloaded folder for this mod (2557139479), does it have 1.5 subdirectory and the dll?

For some reason, Rimpy Mod Manager doesn't like this mod. Says its version is incompatible with the game version.

Since bounties aren't restricted to settler factions (in dev mode, you can enable a bounty quest without settlers or bandits and it works completely fine), is it possible to add requesting bounties from non-settler factions? I'd like to go bounty hunting pirates for spacer factions, just a request.

@Thundercraf strange crash event works only for versions 1.2-1.3.
The new version of the quest (from the AndroidTiers version 1.4) is not supported currently.

I updated the description, hopefully, now it's more clear.

The reason I ask is because the new version of AndroidTiers that got forked and completely overhauled is now called MH: Android Tiers (and does not even support RimWorld 1.3 anymore).

Also, that mod's author explained:
Quote, "Strange Crash is now called 'ominous meteorite' and no longer spawns the T5. Instead, it spawns the M4, which functions mostly the same."

Just to clarify if I understand:
Does that mean the strange crash event from AndroidTiers was (#1) restored back so it now works for both RimWorld 1.3 and 1.4...
...or (#2) was restored for RimWorld 1.3, but had to be removed again for RimWorld 1.4 because AndroidTiers was being reworked?

No, ancient complexes are a vanilla thing that was added in Ideology. They're places you visit in the world and have rooms with random stuff in it including mechanoids and insects, but there's treasures you can find inside.

@Pizzarugi sorry, what ancient complexes you are referring to? I know there are some added by different mods, but I barely played Rimworld recently to know if anything was added to the vanilla.

If you are asking about the ones from Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients, then yes, you should have a chance to get them (but it's random, you may get a different quest too).

Is it possible to use this mod to find ancient complexes? I imagine, considering the game can generate them randomly as a quest, that it's possible to implement it into the mod itself.

@ec#2718 on Discord, added small and medium ruins from Medieval Overhaul. I didn't add big ruins, as they were triggering errors when generating a quest due to the inability to resolve the quest description.
Quests may appear randomly under the "Locations of interest" category, depending on how many other quests you are running that may add to this category too.

It'd be absolutely fantastic to see "Ruins" from Medieval Overhaul added; as they contain critical components to move past the Medieval era, but with lots of mods installed, they can actually be quite rare. )=

Updated to 1.4 and added mod options to configure most of the parameters.
Since most mods are not updated to 1.4 yet (notably the VFE series), this update was done with the assumption that their defs won't change. If they do, I will adjust after the release.
Let me know of any issues anyway.

@TTV DarkEyv can you confirm that bug consistently happens?

I tried to reproduce it using VFE - Ancients + the set of mods that I support and I didn't see any exceptions.
I suspect there may be some third party mod involved that alter incident target tags (or something like that).

Hey, I think a recent update to VE's Framework/Ancients Expanded mod might've broken your integration with VFE - Ancients. It was working fine the other day but now I get an error which Visual Exceptions points towards the Ancients' mod's parameters or something when a faction presumably tries and fails to give me the quest for it when I ask for a location in the comms console: https://gist.github.com/84786fcb29e7603b35a846e383daf536

@Hiroyan495 I added support for the quests from VFE - Ancients (2 quests). Since I don't use the VFE-Ancients mod, let me know if there are any issues.

Mod version has to be 1.3.0.4 to see new quests in the Comms Console. The Ancients quests have a chance to appear under the "Locations of interest" category, their selection weight = 10 for the looted vault and 5 for the sealed vault.
To compare, the regular item stash quest has a selection weight of 40, Legendary grave from Vikings = 10, Ancient ruins = 15, Castle ruins from VFE Medieval = 20, Go Explore Quests = 10

VFE ancients support would indeed be great, as I can't seem to have the vaults spawn, like, ever. My game or storyteller seems to be bugged, so I have to compensate. (must be my giant modlist lol)

@GwinnBleidd Hi would you consider adding the same functions and make them available when you are visiting faction bases with your caravan ? It would do wonders in terms of immersion for I am playing as a nomad bounty hunter in an early industrial world without communication devices. If you can spare some time for this, i would be grateful. Thank you for the mod either way.

Any interest on adding VFE - Ancients support and is there already a way to call for ancient complexes from ideology? Or are both of these under locations of interest call?

VFE - Medieval also added skirmishes if you are interested in adding support for that as well.

I couldn't create a separate cooldown though, as the mod uses the variable defined in standard Faction class. But I switched the shared cooldown from trade to military requests, so when quest is requested, it will trigger a military aid cooldown instead of a trade cooldown

Also, make sure to unsubscribe from the version 1.2 if you were using it before (it uses the same package id, so it will conflict with the original 1.2 version)
