Deassimlated Machine Worlds

I love the idea of this mod, but it needs to be updated with the latest update. Right now, I don't think it's possible to have a cooperative machine world if you are individualist machines, which I think should be the intended behavior in this case.

Yay update

@JR It would depend on what the planet class is. This mod only looks for pc_machine worlds.

I love this! It gives Machine Worlds some much needed flavor.

I wonder if this is modular enough to extend to Planetary Computers from Gigastructures.

Glad I was able to tweak it!

Just got another Machine World and this time the message was correct. Thanks!

@doctornull you can compat patch it by loading a file after theirs, with the combined changes from both mods (GD and this one) to the col_mac_foundry type.

Ah seems like it might be Giga Diversity (compatibility merge for Gigastructures + Planetary Diversity).

Okay, so that's probably another mod, I'll see if I can find which one.

Thanks for the updates!

Ok, after some thorough investigation:

* Caught the duplicate modifier adds (and it was adding a debuff for machine empires, oops)
* Double-checked my prospective fix for the improper messaging
* The Machine World Foundry does work for me - check that you don't have other mods editing colony_types - this mod only overrides one, but it's possible another mod is overwriting it by loading its files later (mod load order is the least important part of this equation)

Thanks for looking into it. The core mechanic (-drone/+job) is working perfectly so I'm still really happy with the mod, but the idea of a Machine World foundry would be really nice too.

Anyway, thank you!

Looks like it's a debug night. I do think I figured the cause of the mixed messaging, but the rest is in progress.

Also also, in two games now I've gotten two Planet Modifier icons about the +1 Roboticist job on a single planet.

Second game I just did "planet_class pc_machine" to test, so it was a virgin world, and the same thing happened.
doctornull 4 Aug, 2021 @ 6:32pm
The mechanics worked correctly in two games now, it's just the message which says the wrong thing.

Also the machine world Forge Designation seems to be broken, it talks about Drone jobs and doesn't do anything for my regular empire when selected.
corsairmarks  [author] 2 Aug, 2021 @ 10:44pm
@doctornull I've gotten that a few times during testing. I'm not fully sure what causes it. The logic to fetch the event text should be only looking at the two policy flags.
doctornull 2 Aug, 2021 @ 7:07pm
When I got my first Machine World, my AIs were already set to Citizen Rights (and were full citizens as Droids). The message seemed to be nagging me to do what I've already done. When I settled the planet, it did give me the +1 Roboticist so that's working.

Nice, tyvm!
corsairmarks  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 12:25pm
@Lyn & Korbis This mod is now integrated with Subtle Polish.
corsairmarks  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 12:24pm
@Ulthar thanks!
Ulthar 1 Aug, 2021 @ 11:00am
This is really clever.

corsairmarks  [author] 28 Jul, 2021 @ 7:35pm
@Lyn & Korbis - I will be adding it. I'm holding off because I'm adding more changes to Retain Leaders.
Wet Dog Squad 28 Jul, 2021 @ 4:46pm
Is this going to be included in Subtle Polish, or does Subtle Polish have an in-built compatibility?
ghosterino 28 Jul, 2021 @ 1:38pm
I was wondering if you could de-assimilate Hivemind and their Hiveplanet as well.
