i came onto steam workshop. i found a relic mod. i looked at the relics. the relics were not op and goofy. i subscribed to the relic mod. i left a comment saying "Cool Mod, Keep It Up!".

Excellent, thank you for the feedback, ironically void core is actually one from the base game that was never utilised lol.

I agree on almost all of your suggestions although I liked liquid gold, not every relic has an outline at the moment and I found that does make a big difference so I should at least get round to that and see if it helps any of them.

@Loscil, are you able to let me know what relics are bothering you? There are some on my list to redo artwork but with life in the way it hasn't been the top of my priority list unfortunately.

Also with artwork unless I was able to nab it from the base game of unused relics I had to search the internet and some great images just don't come out right when you shrink them down :(

the only pet peeve i have with this mod is that some artwork doesn't fit with the theme that has the rest of the relics, other than that this is an excellent mod. good work!

@pgames-food I believe there is something like that but unfortunately I have a lot of modding stuff I want to look but haven't had time to do. There is going to be an update at some point with relic stats added to the custom relics and then I want to work on my "Cursed" update with a set of relics that interact based on curses.

@wbfw109 - thank you for the paste bin. Could you give me some extra details on what relic you were obtaining and how you were obtaining it? Are you running any other mods that impact relics? It looks to me like it was either an egg relic or a max hp relic.

I apologise for the error, I have tried to bug test as much as possible. If I can replicate the error you are receiving I can try to get to the bottom of it for you.

hi im not sure if there is a way for a mod to "look at" or recognise a floor number?
but if there is a way for allowing any special relics to unleash their full potential based on floor number, it could be cool :)

for example, if that relic can have a chance to reward you with more than 1 relic per combat, (and if) the floor number is over Floor 100, then i would be happy to gain bonus relics if lucky since it means im playing in endless mode, and in endless mode the big bosses can be HUGE so every extra thing helps a lot as sometimes they can kill you in 2 attacks if not getting enough block etc ;)

@Chinag It can be a very strong relic. It is currently a 20% chance to gain a relic from an enemy. I've found that at A20 I am getting significantly less rewards than Black Star but perhaps I am not pathing hard enough into it. I'll look at tweaking it to capping at 1 per combat with an increased chance to occur. But I have been happy with its performance as a rare relic at the moment. As it is a rare relic I won't be adding a downside to the relic.

Honestly Keys of Potential are potently broken. It just gives you way more relics for free compared to Black star. It usually gives me 4-6 relics even if I get it in the last act.

I'd balanced it by making you only able to get maximum of 1 free relic each fight and give the enemy that holds the relic +1 strength.

In the next update everburn furnace has been reworked to exhaust a card at the start of combat gain 1 energy per turn. This relic will now grant you energy on turn 1 but exhausting a card is no longer optional. Testing this it feels much more balanced in line with other boss energy relics.

@Chinag No it's not. Does it do the same for X cost cards? I believe I may have fixed that bug but haven't pushed it to steam yet. I'll make sure that's fixed in the next update.

If you exhaust an Unplayable card with Everburn Furnace, it seems to give -2 energy each turn. Is this intended?

Hi Chad. Thank you for the feedback. The counter should increase with cards such as bloodletting or offering. The character has to actually take damage themselves. The relic seems to be working fine for myself. If you can give me some interaction examples I can try to replicate and fix it :)

(when i first thought of it, i did have an idea about a super relic that 'temporarily' allows max hp gain, but only for 1 combat or something :)

It is possible I imagine for it to do that but I wouldn't want it to. Like any of the Max HP relics once healing is switched off for example you don't get their benefit anymore.

I would rather the relic function like this as it makes things like you experienced actually work like they originally intended :)

i managed to do quite well on my glutton character, and found your Gyoza relic in the later game (in endless mode), but my character had already been given the vanilla "Muzzle" status/relic, which prevents you from gaining any more max life.

is it possible for your relic to heal 10 hp for example, if it detects that the character is no longer able to gain Max hp?

btw i forgot to mention, one of the first things i added to my rimside recycling mod on rimworld, was wisdom teeth which had gold fillings :)
so now with your gold tooth relic, we have more in common :)

Hi, you are more than welcome to translate it. I haven't been through the process before so not entirely sure on what I need to do, but I have tried to avoid hard coding strings so it should be okay to localise.

I do plan on adding further relics when inspiration next strikes me :)

Yes I had feedback it was challenging to get much value out of. I might even reduce to 3 but the relic is only a common so two relics to three per run in exchange should be OK.

No, my apologies. It activates on moving from one act to another. So the next act will have 50% more chance to spawn an elite when generating the nodes. But I am looking at reworking (my coding is very simply compared to a lot of the modders in the community. But it should only be a shop relic so very skippable at least.

so you could potentially go into a room labelled as a chest or fireplace and have a 50% chance of an elite spawning? this trade off doesn't seem worthwhile at all especially at higher ascensions. Personally I think the ? rooms into elites sounds better but I'll have to play a few run throughs first.

I've subbed and looking forward to trying out some new builds and strategies.

Blood of the gifted, triggers both on the end of your turn and on victory so you should be able to heal any self damage.

Challengers gloves work for any floor and increase the chance of it being an elite by 50% - this is hard to tell but it definitely works. I am looking into possibly changing it into ? rooms can be an elite combat.

Corrupted Piece - You gain beat of death taking one damage whenever you play a card and one stack of rupture which gives you strength whenever you take damage from playing a card. If you don't block you will grow strength for every card played.

These actually seem pretty fun and not too OP. Snow globe caught my eye, OP if at the start but could be potentially useless during end of runs.

Couple of questions:
Blood of the gifted- is it the damage in the turn before you kill the enemy that is used to heal?
Challengers gloves- im guessing only applies to ? on floors
Corrupted Piece- what do the modifiers mean

The monocle is purposefully designed to only activate once per shop, so it can't stack with courier, but I'm pretty proud of it.

Hi Solaris, I have tried a custom run, and whilst I thought it wasn't working I did eventually stumble across a relic in a shop. I'll try a few more runs but currently there aren't many relics in this Mod so the chances of seeing them aren't overly high. Especially if you have any other Mods with relics turned on.

I will do a few more custom runs to check but I think it is working. Maybe try a couple more?
