thanks, the guide im using requires madman boxes for darkest dungeon and i really didn't want to grind out dungeons for the boxes

Well yes, i think it uses existing table. It choses what trinket do drop based on rarity string in entries.trinkets, right? If yes then it should work. I once wanted to do the same thing as you did here but i was too lazy to figure out how nubmers in files correlate to actual drop chances in game, so thanks for doing that.

Short answer: No

Long answer: It depends
This mod modifies the base game loot tables so that the loot table containing the madman trinkets shows up more often, so if the 'other mods' you are talking about modify or expand the already existing madman loot table, then yes, it will work, however if they use a completely new loot table then it won't work
