@Johnnyboy Thanks! Taking a look at it it truly improves the wonky AI, I will keep it in mind should I create another mission with boats! I'll leave the mission as is though, as I am currently occupied with other stuff, thanks for sharing though!

Cool mission. I've mostly solved the AI boat navigation problem for SP missions. Check out this sample mission and video. My script allows a boat to follow waypoints in rivers exactly, and even REVERSE off the shore after units board. @shellybear50 hm interesting. Just fired it up again and it took significantly more time to load, but at least it loaded in. This may be due to the latest SOG or Arma Update. Nothing I can fix to my current knowledge. Thanks for the heads up.

it's a shame really.
I was even thinking about somehow animate the movement of the ship but I wouldn't know how to do that.

@Beelzedude Yeah Armas AI in boats acts erratic, especially near shores. The Players boat can be controlled by the group leader with WASD, so no need for scripting there. But the ambient civs on the water were a problem; I solved it by setting their speed to LIMITED and when they reach their end point I just turn them 180° around, so they can continue. Nonetheless: once they beach themselves, I have not figured a way out to reset them on the water :steamfacepalm:

god, I tried to do the same a month or longer ago but I just couldn't get the damn AI to follow it's path.
at some point it aloways made a 180 or 360 turn and drove around like a drunkard...
I even wanted to include jokes about the captain being drunk as a conversation in the mission but the ship never ever made it to it's destination. I must have spend 2 hours alone, just watching the ship go along the river and then suddenly go nuts >.<

@Eric Sparrow Another person and I just tested it and it did show up? Did you choose the map cam_lao_nam? Did you try to host in in hosted MP or on a dedicated server?

@ansty Thanks! Especially since the Nasty Boat is quite the cool asset, but its use somewhat limited, I tried to give it a dedicated scenario
