no...
Epic Dovahkiin 12 Oct, 2024 @ 3:50pm
would this replace the cryo priest present in Frost Legion?

Oh my, Mister XCOM Commander gone mad

FYI, for Mod Jam users, this does not reskin the earlygame M1 tier version added by Mod Jam.

To do so, add
+RESKIN=(EnemyName=AdventCryoPriestM1, SkinName="ADVENT_Cryosuit.ARC_GameUnit_CryoPriestM1_M", OverwriteSkins=True)
+RESKIN=(EnemyName=AdventCryoPriestM1, SkinName="ADVENT_Cryosuit.ARC_GameUnit_CryoPriestM1_F", OverwriteSkins=False)

to the Reskinner .ini

Forgot to drop an encouraging message the first time around, but now I've moved to the 'public' versions of the reskin mods ... nice work on this one !!!

Could Invisible Heads mods bypass this issue?
Deadput  [author] 25 Sep, 2021 @ 1:41pm
Yeah but that would require being able to chop parts off which I'm not able to do since I'm not a modeler.

The helmet is part of the body mesh so I'm not able to separate them myself

I think what GargakOfTheEast said is similar to Chimera Squad Armor Pack, which only requires Max's [WOTC] Invisible Body Parts For All.
GargakOfTheEast 24 Sep, 2021 @ 3:10pm
@Deadput

I don't know the technical details of how to do this, but you can always just have the "entire model" be the body torso armor.

Several other cosmetic mods on the workshop do this, such as the ghost in the shell "Section 9 special operators" mod and the helghast costume from the killzone franchise.
Deadput  [author] 24 Sep, 2021 @ 1:44pm
It's an entire body mesh so it wouldn't work as an armor outside of a standalone suit I think.
tastiger841 23 Sep, 2021 @ 6:01pm
Just wondering if this can be made as a separated armour for xcom since they have 2 of the Advent Stasis suits?
GargakOfTheEast 15 Sep, 2021 @ 7:28pm
I actually really like this mod.

The different model makes him much easier to point out from others, and looks way more appropriate to what he does than the priest outfit.

I also like how he's now a "Cryo Trooper" instead of a "Cryo Priest." I played with a mod that gives anti-violet rounds, which really hurt psionics like ADVENT Priests. They, however, don't work against Cryo Priests, who are not actually psionic - which makes you wonder, why call him a "Priest" at all?

Much better. A small change, but still much better.

@deadput oh that's awesome, I didn't realize there was a standalone one. Now I am on the hunt to find a target Icon that fits lol.

Quite a clever use of the stasis suit - it would have the padding and protective layers needed to keep the user from freezing to death -nod-
Deadput  [author] 5 Sep, 2021 @ 12:06am
Nope, the reason I didn't add A Better DLC as a dependency was that the Cryo Priest also has a standalone mod hence I didn't want to tie this mod to either one as a dependency.
Medicman 4 Sep, 2021 @ 8:11pm
So this is a standalone enemy?

Good looks
MrMister 2 Sep, 2021 @ 2:51pm
I always thought they'd also fit as blue Purifier models called Frostifier/Frostyfier/Cryofier.

But this look is really good too.

Coooool :steamsad:

Using the wrong emo because it looks kinda frosty, not a tease.

Thank you again for another great addition :steamhappy: (really happy)
