will it conflict with other your mod where also gonarchs are added in the fight because it also adds controllers?

This is awesome mate. It makes an already amazing final battle even better, by adding some extra challenge. Just awesome.

I'm not the best BM player so maybe I'm just not skilled enough. But I can generally get through the game on Hard without many problems, but I couldn't make it through this on Normal.

I really wanted to like this but it's just not fun. Vortigaunts are basically camouflaged since the terrain is intentionally desaturated, and their attacks are basically hitscan and the map has next to no cover. I made 8 attempts and couldn't get out of the first phase. It was a nightmare. AGrunts are much better suited for this map, you should use them instead, or only place one vort on the map at a time. There are also hardly any health or power sources other than the healing pool, which turns the fight into a slog where you basically have to camp at the pool to have a reasonable chance of completing this.

If I were to make my own take on this, here's what would happen.

- At 1st round, the Nihilanth faces Gordon himself with the blue crystals.

- Once the blue crystals are destroyed, some Alien Controllers will appear out to assist the Nihilanth and together fight Freeman

- After the yellow crystals are destroyed, most or some of the Alien Controllers since the Nihilanth is getting weak which of course could affect the Alien Controllers. They will still teleport to assist but not for long.

- When the Nihilanth's crystal is destroyed, any left of the Alien Controllers dies out. This is inspired by the Vort mural in HLA where the Controllers die out with the Nihilanth and including being said they died out from the Nihilanth being dead.

I'm not sure about Vortigaunts appearing but I wanted to share my thought still.

That would go against the lore, but I guess for another mod that could actually be nice

If you set the Vorts to be friendly to the player in the map, that would be pretty badass.

Have you tried the campaign using my mod? I'd appreciate feedback coming from you :)

@1v4n94 yea i mean i always use a modified skill.cfg. Although with this, modifying the zap damage via skill.cfg is not possible since it will always set to 20 on map load

Also, thanks For taking into account the fact that there are people that use custom skill.cfg files!

This makes it similar to how it was originally in Half-Life 1, so it's a must have for nostalgic fellas like me. Thanks a lot!
