the last time this list was updated was after wh3 released so most if not all of the mods have not received any updates since. i do believe its still working fine as i havent had any issues reported for a long time and a few days ago i had someone suggesting mods to add so i assume it was still working then too c:

Hello! Does anyone happen to know if the list works considering all the mod updates that have occurred, or know of a similar up-to-date collection? Really enjoyed playing with a well put together list.

all good, it seems to be a very rare crash like you said. i just did a new campaign and got to turn 100 without any problems!

thanks c: if reloading the save doesnt work and its consistently happening then there isnt really much that can be done :c other than using the console command mod to remove the faction whos turn it is thats causing the crash (sometimes it can be the factions whos turn it is next rather than the one the turn thing is currently on). thankfully the random ai turn crashes seem to be very rare but really annoying if they do happen. I've tried super hard to remove as many as possible but its very difficult to find out the exact thing causing it as there are so many possibilities.

loving the modlist. but the game seems to crash on turn 37 when its on House von Carstein AI turn. Im playing nagash. any soluction?

Not really, AI is just silly sometimes, they should already be more aggressive compared to vanilla but really the AI just does what it wants sometimes lol

I feel Iike Ai is too passive overall. Empire AI only has 6 regions in total in turn 15. Is there a way to fix this?

@commiechief you can try launching it as administrator for a few times - worked for me. after the first successful launch, subsequent launches did not require administrator privileges for me, it worked as usual.

yeah that seems to be an issue with kmm sometimes. i dont really know a solution other than keep opening it until it doesnt close itself as thats the only way I've got it to work before

I probably have too many mods, but when i launch KMM, it closes itself on startup. I have most of the mods from the collection installed, plus a few custom mods i added myself. I do have Rome 2 and Attila installed with some mods, but nowhere near as much mods for both of them.

yup im dumb! After verification of the files , steam found 207 missing files somehow . now i played high elf campaign ti 80 turns without a problem, thank you !

that is really odd and it sounds like its happening far too commonly to be an issue with the list. make sure youve tried the steps i posted about in the bug reports discussion for if youre getting a crash

Just happened agai. with 3rd faction im trying High elves , crashed when it was Lichdom thrallnes turn , once before were some alchemist , it seems random

i havent had anyone mention having random end turn crashes on this latest update of the mod list so far and i managed to play 3 full campaigns right up until about turns 170-180 with no crashes. i think it might be more likely something on your end as steam sometimes doesnt download workshop files properly. if an end turn crash becomes not random, so like if its constantly happening on the same turn by the same faction then try downloading the console command mod and turning off fog of war to see what that faction is doing that might cause the crash and then lemme know and i can take a look.

@EnormulusBG that is just a visual bug when hovering over the different mounts. his hp is actually normal if you select the mount

Is it known issue that when playing High King campaign , his and some of the heroes's mount make their hp 1-2 ? is it visual issue or they drop to 1 hp for real ?

@Malacain unfortunately not, way too many mods which means you will just get desyncs constantly, in fact i doubt youd even be able to complete turn 1 as id imagine it would just desync straight away

@Cicero i do not see any of the issues youve mentioned, the white lions have a unit size of 80 and i do not see a single great eagle with only 3k hp anywhere. There is also no mods in this collection by someone named SCARFACE

Hey - just discovered this collection, fantastic work! I would like to bring to your attention that the unit sizes are broken (I think SCARFACE's mod is responsible; it's very out of date). E.g. The High Elves have a roster of 200 white lions but only 60 silver helms and a single great eagle with only 3k HP. I do not think this is a bug, just outdated mods. I have long searched in vain for increased unit size mods compatible with SFO, but I do not think anything exists in 2023. Just a heads up. Still, great work!

posting this here too in case people miss it in the changelog but there is now an alternative load order with most (not all) of the unit mods deactivated for people that do not want unit bloat. Skaven still feel a bit bloaty due to moulders menagerie adding many different stormfiend types though but everything else should be bloat free.

turns out switching to the earlier chaos invasion mod actually caused a lot of issues but it also highlighted some incompatibilities that i missed with the original later chaos invasion mod lol. its all fixed and stuff on my end now but to everyone currently playing, it seems like youll just get the default sfo chaos invasion. however after the next update, which should be by the end of this week latest, the chaos invasion is going to get a really significant boost in strength so just be wary when setting the chaos invasion difficulty lol.

the reskin mods are likely to be contributing to it a bit but im gonna be removing them in the next update to this list cus i felt like there was a decent fps boost in battles without them. it could also be due to some modded units cus it depends how the mod author has set up the lods for that unit. its also mainly likely to be sfo increasing the unit size quite significantly in some cases, the main factions where i get the most lag do tend to be greenskins and skaven as they will have just thousands and thousands and thousands of entities but with most factions you are just going to get a lot of lag with a 40 stack battle. if its making it unplayable for you then you could try turning down the unit size to see if that helps, other than that i dont think there is much really that you can do unfortunately, just limits of the game engine and the amount of mods putting a strain on it

My frames are noticeably under performing during battles compared to the Campaign map, at the moment they are tanking in a 40 vs. 40 stack battle playing Greenskins vs. Tomb Kings.

I don't get these kind of issues playing bigger lists in TW3 on Ultra settings, is this just a TW2 issue with big mod lists? I've been searching all over the internet for a fix but can't find anything that has made any noticeable difference.

Otherwise i'm really enjoying the list so far and appreciate the work you've done :steamthumbsup:

there should be all 354 mods activated. if there are some deactivated try downloading the load order again in case that might've gone funny or something. if its showing 354 mods activated and there's some extra that are deactivated, those ones aren't in the list and can be removed with the mod manager.

It should be for the most part. You may come across a crash during a campaign so I can't say it is completely stable but a while ago I did launch the game and could play quite a bit of the campaign with no crashes but that was not like an extensive test as I would usually do.

Overall I would say it should be pretty fine to play but there is definitely a chance you could come across a crash which could prevent you from continuing a campaign.

Heya, sorry again aha. I really wanna come back and fix the few issues this list has atm but I'm finding it hard to get the motivation; my interest in stuff can shift really rapidly and I've just had none for TWWH2 for a while.

I don't want to give false hope that I will eventually fix it, so for the time being I will say that I do not currently plan on coming back to this. As soon as my interest and motivation sparks back up again I almost definitely will but I can't say for certain when that will be.

There is a load order posted by Settra in the bug reports discussion that some people have said stopped the crashes for them so you can give that a try but please don't pester them with things like bug reports or updates etc.

Thank you to everyone who tried this modlist and left feedback/bug reports etc. It's been a massive help and I really really appreciate it!

In that case you probably played with update 19. You can try to turn off every mod added after to see if it stops crashing.

tried chaos(multiple times),empire,dwarfs, WE (heresy, yes i know),.....nothing works. I dont know why it would crash for "trying to load a lot of mods" since it worked perfectly before and i even had solid 50-60 fps on the campaign map

I assume you both tried to start with different races? Usually if there is some problem with mods it crashes on launch. Only occasion where i crashed on loading was when i modded greybeard prospectors, and made mistake while changing their units.
Other then that it might be caused by trying to load too much at the same moment. Do you have less then ideal hw?

Same issue here, clean install of the game etc, using the mod manager and the game crashes just as it's about to finish loading.

Sadly not, ive put couple of hours trying to find what mod is causing the crashes but sadly i have no idea. It crashes just as the campaign is about to load so its a nasty little cock-tease

Hi, i am not ero-sennin, but i have been helping her a bit recently, and spent lot of time playing it, and fixing some bugs. It seem Ero-sennin doesn't have time recently.

Koren7 did you get your game to work? Before Ero left she was looking at the problem with crashes, but could not find anything. If you got it to work how did you do so? it might help other people.

Renown, drink it and rebanner should both be totally fine, for you to use. As far as i know they removed them only because they preferred to play without them. Population mechanic is far more complex mod. I never used it myself, but from the look of it, i would not recommend it with any mod heavy load. You are free to do as you like, built i would recommend to either go for Erynn compilation or some lighter mod list with population.
