Perfect for the first biome. Its fast but a little fragile and there are some systems that require constant attention which adds another layer of difficulty when starting out in the cold caverns. Here are some notes I have about the ship. Super capacitor are in engineering and charge fast so they should be manually controlled to charge when the guns need it, return the charge to 0% when the guns are full of energy or there may be a fire. Turn off the power when docking at a station because all the extra energy will also cause fires. The drone is unusable unless you somehow manage to learn how to dock back with the sub. I tried following the author's guide but its confusing and i cant actually see the green docking hatch on beacon sonar. It loses control and shoots off into the abyss. Secret locker with the code set through the terminal seems to only work on Channel 0. When the locker opens the medbay floods (Easy fix, in submarine editor drag the hull UP to match the other rooms.)

this is one of the better and more interesting subs I've used, I sat there reading for ages, and god is it interesting trying to figure this shit out. Bravo, would you consider making her sister ship Varia at some point?

Yea this thing hasn't been updated since beta 0.12. I'll try to overhaul it as soon as possible

I like this design and it cheap cost, I wish more ships that slowly upgrades this and room for modifications.

is this sub going to be updated for the latest update? i really want to use it in a campaign, but certain features of the sub are broken as of the current game version :(

that's weird then. I'm getting this same issue across all my subs suddenly after the update. Maybe it's the way they were wired

Looks like this might be a bug related to the changes to supercaps in the new update. We'll see if a fix would be on the way, otherwise the supercaps might have to be rewired.

Little update with the bot situation, it seems the doors are the issue. Since they are automatic and cant be opened by buttons AI get stuck as they keep trying to open the door but are not close enough for it to automatically open

In short, AI trys to press button to open door, Button doesn't open doors and AI isn't close enough for sensor to open door

I love how you've filled in every space with detail and created things from the existing items.
The headset on the commanders chair is brilliant.
I actually said "Oh wow" to myself when I revealed the medicine cabinet behind the "turret" door.

I gotta say, this is one of the single most attractive submarine designs I've ever seen. It's cozy, I like the weapon layout, and I love you left a turret empty.

I'd love to see more subs in the same style! It's got a very Normandy/Spaceship look. Real aggressive.

Some criticisms - some of the containers are hard to find. The blue lights help, but it's not very friendly to new users who don't know that most containers are actually invisible containers hidden behind props.

Some of the consoles are finnicky - I was only able to use the text console to enable/disable batteries once, and then it never worked again.

I feel like the fuel storage could be bigger near the reactor.

At high upgrade levels, moving the ship almost always causes a power shortage.

Sometimes, when the cockpit is breached, the alarms never turn off. I had to take a wrench to them.

And obviously, the drone is kinda fucky.

Yo, you forgot to clean up the wiring. It's an absolute disaster to look at in the sub editor. Parts just floating outside without anything connected and a mess of blue wire below the sub.

Alright so, I did save a version of the new Nomad and the old nomad before you reverted the save, and for some stupid reason, suddenly everything works perfectly, even on the newer version of the Nomad, so I'm incredibly sorry, I literally have no idea why suddenly all the wiring works... I didn't change my game at all, sorry to make you go through all this work, I guess it somehow really was just my game screwing up.

I'll try playtesting the sub soon, so sorry this happened. I'll let you know if anything changes. Did you notice the weird glitching yourself when you played with it? It seemed to only affect the main terminal in navigation, the other terminals seemed to work fine

I reverted it. I don't know if it's been fixed or not. Frankly I have no idea why the terminals are completely screwed up, I didn't even touch them.

Unfortunately in the newest patch I think the main terminal (Next to the sonar control) broke, instead of showing one of each of the toggleable functions it just repeats a bunch and doesn't show all of them, it does this randomly.

I am a bit baffled. The only thing I can think of is that relay components were used in some parts of the power grid, which are known to be notoriously buggy. If this is the case then I think the only way to fix it would be to disable the overload property of the junctions

No modifications were made, however this was during an attempt to run this in campaign. I opened up the server, and the bot immediately called out that there were broken devices. I thought it was sort of the style of the ship being old and such, but then the AI started calling out there was a fire. I was the only player by the way.

@alexbali Thanks for the elaboration. I've yet to replicate this issue in the submarine editor. Can you include some more details such as whether or not it was in multiplayer, vanilla, unstable, or if there were any modifications made to the ship?

The reactor was completely off, I SCRAM'd it when I heard the fire alarms. The Junction box kept bursting into flames, and the rest kept breaking down as soon as it was repaired. Essentially:

Primary Junction Box bursts into flames when other Junction boxes don't work.
Repairing all other Junction boxes prevents the primary box from bursting into flames.
When you repair the Primary junction box afterwards, all of them degrade to completely broken in under a minute, including the Primary junction box.

It's the auxiliary power unit. If you're out of power on the seafloor, activate the APU and turn off the batteries, it should (very) slowly recharge your batteries.

I'll check it out when I get home. Though it might be the same problem onborad the Kastrull. If you have too many junctions down, try shutti g down the power to avoid overloading perhaps

Ship constantly breaks down near instantaneously. If you repair the primary junction last, all other junction boxes almost immediately break down.

Alright I changed the turret rotation limits so that the immediate area near them is also covered. With all three turrets purchased, fire coverage should be at least 85%, and non-conventional shell placements are set to have no AI target so I hope creatures wouldn't get stuck as much.

Pretty awful boat. WAY TOO MANY blind zones, crawlers get stuck in the back, turrets are mounted too high and are unable to shoot enemies that are right outside the hull.
