I know I may be double posting but figured I would make this post for the Author to note for both Mods in the event to patch both.

Drone Upgrades (This)

The WNZ_MQ15 variants reference Arma3 Bohemia magazine classes that do not exist. Within the Base Arma3 Game there is 240Rnd_40mm_GPR_Tracer_Red_shells that is referenced for the Bluefor Variant that works fine. However the other Variants do not seem to exist which is causing issues for those drone variants.

240Rnd_40mm_GPR_Tracer_Green_shells (CFG does not exist) (Throws errors and no ammo in drone)
240Rnd_40mm_GPR_Tracer_Yellow_shells (CFG does not exist) ( No error but still no ammo in drone)

The Green Shells did end up keeping the mission file when placed in the editor from loading however only throws a model error when dropping it in Zeus.

We did look for an alternative but was unable to find one that was close to the one referenced. Maybe just use the same one for all variants?

@Wenza, would it be possible to add different camouflage options for the UGV? The other Vanilla UGVs have them like Olive, Hex, Green Hex, Digital Green (the AAF camo), IDAP (for war crimes), and Geometric (the one used by the LDF).

Otherwise the mod works great for me.

Is there Any chance to either have compatibility with the "GX - AR-2 Darter Fuel Increase" mod, or to add an addon option to increase the fuel in the Darter drones via a multiplier?

I'm in love with this mod and you, for creating this gem!


Allow me to make a suggestion:

I would like to see more "hybrid" drones that function similarly to the CUP AH-6X LittleBird ULB drone, so that as a player, for example, you can easily be transported and picked up by the AI without another player having to do the job. In particular, I imagine an armed version of the V-44 Blackfish or the AH-99 Blackfoot, where you only have ONE AI as pilot and you as player have to occupy the gunner's seats yourself, would be pretty cool!

Great mod. But just a little problem, when I used the DCON's vehicle spawner to spawn these drones, they started attacking me and the NATO's AI. NATO's AI will also attack these drones.

I've added the all drones that have the green hex textures available for use. I won't be adding the UCAV or MQ series, as they are already present in the standard CSAT roster in 'NATO' camo, and putting them into CSAT Pacific would just be making duplicates of the same vehicle - there's no point spending time configuring it.

@Wenza great mod! Although it's not a mod issue but an Arma 3 one, My squad mates can't see my tactical pings while I'm using my UAV to spot enemies. Looks like the UAV is in it's on squad or something like that. Do you have any idea on how to solve it?

I've added a small red beacon light to the AR-xx drone variants, can be controlled via the UAV interface with the "Allow lights" option; Zeus can turn them on/off if using ZEN

Hey, just curious
Is there any way to enforce particles on for the LMG darter?

Spawned a drone swarm against the unit at night, but even with NVG's they were hard to see, and tracers just didn't show for 95% of the rounds fired at them

I can attach a flare to them but the tracers I can't do much about

As an idea have you considered adding a version of the tracked UGV from the Contact DLC that is capable of having weapons equipped to it like the octo-drone in the Western Sahara DLC? I mucked around with .sqf for a few days with ChatGPT and got the concept half working but it is vastly outside the scope of what I can make.

Hey, I don't know what is causing this, but the weapons never stay selected. It will change for a few seconds then switch between the laser and the flare, finally ending on the flare.

You should be able to cycle through the weapons to the flare launcher as you would any other vehicle weapon

Hey there! I really like your mods, especially this one, speaking of which I found a small issue with this and only this mod, apparently it makes the 20 mm gun of the AH-99 Blackfoot heli ´Not Fire´ at all. I have already checked and double checked every other of my 200 loaded mods. These are the Pop out Infos i get: First one is, "No entry ´ bin/config.bin/CfgWeapons/ItemInfo.scope´." - after game launch at the main menu. The Second shows up when selecting the AH-99/Comanche Helo, which is "No entry ´ bin/config.bin/CfgAmmo/B_20mm_Tracer_Red.cartridge`." . I hope you can find a fix here. Have Nice Weekend - Momo

I've added additional FCS for the UCAV, AR, and MQ drone variants, so they should all be able to range their turret mounted guns properly, and hit on target while moving at high altitude and speed now

Added Ti to the camera, NV for the pilot, and zoom function.

I couldn't yet figure out how to add a laser designator to the pilot camera that would aim where the camera does, the best I could manage was to get a fixed front facing laser that you couldn't aim, so I left it out.
Also couldn't get the spotlight to work. Pilot cameras work different to the turrets in the config file, so I'm not sure how to get this working, but it should suffice as is, with the added zoom levels and Ti modes. Enjoy!

OK. It does have a turret camera though. it has both pilot and turret. your using the AL-6 pelican utility Nato right. while flying its the default left ctrl right click to access it. however I know what you mean, the uav terminal shows only control driver and not control gunner. either way, the thermal +zoom is a huge improvement

After an initial look, it looks like the Pelican drone doesn't have a camera turret on the model, as it is intended as a cargo drone not recon. I'm considering ways to possibly implement a higher max zoom for the pilot camera view, and will add TI imaging. A front-facing pilot searchlight is a possibility, but I'm not sure about a laser designator.
I'm unsure about adding a turret to the vehicle, so will probably just make additions to the pilot camera if I can.

hmm, yeah I have no clue how to modify configs . yea you rock man. thats the best shit like bohemia should've added that to begin with. looking forward to all those features on the pelican.
